This is going to post under my husband's name but that's fine. Xanna cut my friends and my hair today and she was absolutely great. She listened to what we were asking for. She asked questions. Then explain what steps she wanted to do. After we agreed. She followed through with everything she said . Great haircut great service. Great all around. I'd go back for sure.

Our stylist, while checking us in at approximately 3:30pm, advised her colleague that my son’s haircut would be her last one of the day. My son sat down in the chair and I sat down in the chair right next to her station. My son is 12 and has high functioning autism. I didn’t mention it to the stylist because it’s not usually an issue, but for the first time, my son seemed to want a different hair style than usual, and she was visibly annoyed that we didn’t have everything figured out already. She didn’t really even attempt to try to figure out what he’d like, she just asked him a couple of times if he’d like a fade and what he wanted on the sides. He was having a hard time trying to convey what he meant, but she wasn’t really talking to him. I tried to show him a few pics of what he’d done before, but they didn’t seem to be what he wanted. He was getting visibly upset, but she really rushed the situation. I made a judgement call that I regret now, (I should have just stopped the appointment), and told her to do a 2 guard on the sides. Now, I told her what to do, that’s on me, but she didn’t even ask if he’d be ok with that, and just started cutting the sides. He started crying, but I got him calmed down enough anyway. She then started trimming the top, and he said a couple of times that he didn’t want the top trimmed. In a how-dare-you-question-me tone, she condescendingly told him that she knew what she was doing and she wasn’t going to send him out into the world with a bad hair cut. To her credit, she wasn’t wrong, the top did need to be trimmed to blend into the sides, but the way she talked to him was unprofessional at best. He wasn’t even being bad or talking back, he was just upset at what was being done.
When the cut was finished, the stress of the situation had really affected him. It’d been a long time since I’d seen him like that. He started hyper-fixating on how it was combed, (he likes it done a certain way), and that’s when I called her over away from him to explain that he was autistic and hyper-fixating. I was visibly upset, and once I explained what was going on, she tried to say she wanted to cry because she wanted to help him, but it was obvious she just wanted us out of there. She did try to comb it for him for a split second and then immediately went to the register and checked us out.
I’m honestly shocked at the way she went about this. We’ve had her before and she did a pretty good job. She was professional, courteous, and really took her time during that previous appointment. My son’s haircut itself was fine, but it’s not what my son wanted overall. I take part of the responsibility for that. I regret not just leaving and going somewhere else the instant I recognized that she was in a rush to leave.

Xanna was very friendly. She asked questions to make sure she understood what I wanted. She was pleasant and seemed confident. I liked her. I’ll have her cut my hair from now on

I wish I could remember the young lady's name. Excellent service and once we actually began talking, she was very friendly. Most places ask if uou want your hair washed. She took the initiative to say let's do this and didn't act like anything was an inconvenience. Just some advice to her and definitely not in a negative way.... I'm an older gentleman so maybe that's why at first she wasn't very talkative, but once she opened up a little, we got along great. So to her, open up, talk to your clients, just people being people ?. The salon was very clean and for me that's always ??. The only thing that could have been better is only one person there. I understand completely though. I did leave because she was already cutting someone's hair but I came back later and got in immediately. She was fast and very professional. I wasn't there long and I was on my way. I wish I knew her name so she can be praised on her work. I was there on
07-29-24 in the afternoon around 5:30 so maybe that'll help you know who she was. I'm just a guy but pretty picky about who cuts my hair. Because of her, I'll be back.

Stylist: Beta did exactly the cut I asked for. Very professional and friendly will definitely ask for her again. As a former men’s stylist I am a little reluctant to try a new cutter but am very pleased with my cut. Shop was clean which is very important to me. Thanks again.
