Our Loves gas was closed off so didn't think twice about going to Flying J's . My phone gives me alerts with debit card use. Sooo I was shocked to see a pre-authorization for 151.00 !! Usually no big deal but pump did not give receipt! Our gas was only 31.00. With all the fraud at gas stations, this set me frantic ! And furious but had went to far down road to turn back. When called. That is the normal pre-auth for this place. So the normal 1.00 went out the window! Not sure if all Flying J's or this one beside turnpike. WARNING - always get receipt or verify amount charged on banking app before you drive off. They should have this posted on pumps!! You may need those funds available for something else. Would save alot of arguing between husband's and wife's because you didn't get receipt!

Gas pump stops pumping gas every few seconds. Super annoying! All gas has ethanol in it as well. Lot of 18 wheelers come through here and drive on the wrong side of the road, run the stop sign, and break every traffic law they can. Just avoid.

I just came to use the bathroom. It was visually clean. Water got really hot, plenty of soap. They have lots of auto supplies if you need anything.

A morning stop for a hot breakfast before moving on down the road. The lot is huge for semi's going in and out and the diesel island is packed this morning with trucks waiting their turn. There are also scales here and walking up to the entrance you can see that the restaurant inside is a Huddle House. They are currently taking "to go" orders only during the coronavirus pandemic. When entering, this Flying J looks rather small compared to the other locations we've been to. It's not! Just to the left of the entryway is a whole other room containing a drivers lounge complete with t.v.'s and comfortable seating along with eight showers and restrooms. On the opposite end of this Travel Plaza is the opening to the Huddle House, which is also quite roomy. My husband and I filled our fountain cups with caffeine and searched around the store. They've got a nice layout packed full of a lot of products in the space that they have. Looks like there's anything a trucker might need plus many other items to catch your eye. In our efforts to find the hot food options available, we found the hot soup island to be closed temporarily. There was a hotbox of a few breakfast burritos at the end of the many coffee machines that we passed on. Walking closer to the registers there are more hot foods behind glass. We chose two breakfast toasters and getting closer to the register was the other hot food item, pizza, that can be purchased either whole or in slices. We paid for the drinks, toasters and a phone booster antenna that my husband's been eyeing then we left. Walking out I noticed the Love's Travel Stop across the street, which may cause a little competition in the area. There is also a Sonic close by and a Holiday Inn. Trying to walk behind all the trucks in the fuel island to get back over to the truckers parking lot turned out to be a little difficult. Two large semi's looked as though they were both headed for the same diesel pump. Then they both started backing up right in front of us. We had to back up and stay still, watching them AND also the trucks that we were behind. Like a graceful dance they backed up nearly side by side, then one pulled forward and towards the east while the other pulled up to the pump. We got back to the truck safely and I wondered if words were exchanged on the CB that we missed. Sometimes that CB might be a truckers only entertainment throughout the day. I unwrapped the toaster consisting of a juicy sausage patty, egg and cheese on two slices of toasted buttered bread. It was very filling, just a little too much butter for my taste. While I'm eating in the truck, my creative husband is excitedly hooking up his new phone booster antenna. Turns out the antenna wire is too big for his booster. Guess I know what other purchase we'll be making soon. This is a very nice stop for truckers with clean showers and restrooms. Just remember to always keep a watchful eye in the parking lot, whether your walking or driving a smaller truck.

This fueling center is located near a busy intersection and should have a lot of business, but never seems that busy, which makes it convenient for dropping in for a quick refueling. The Love's station across the street receives more business than this place, probably because it is cleaner and the people are friendlier. When I am just putting gas in my car, I will stop here, but if I plan on buying a drink with my gas, I will go elsewhere. If this location power-washes everything outside the store and changes their attitude, they may get more business.

I have. To many bad experiences here...personally I blame the manager . At noon when people are trying to get lunch and get their had and take showers etc ..the manager is NEVER ON THE FLOOR!!!!there is one young lady doing the best that she can using 2 cash registers. Something needs to be done it not but today you lost 4 people and we will not be sending people there to be neglected!!!! I hope this is not the caliber of manager's in all your store s....Disgraceful

This is a challenging review. Overall, it's a basic truck stop. When we arrived the showers were not available because they were experiencing hot water issues. They rectified the problem and a nice hot shower was a blessing! The shower room was pretty small, but most locations are and you're not here for a spa experience so.... The women's restroom in the trucker lounge area is a single with a locking door. Love that! The restroom on the restaurant side was clean and stocked. Ever since we had a bad experience at another Huddle House we don't even consider patronizing them. So, it was a bummer that this was the option here. Oh well, it forces us to eat the healthier food that we have with us. There were quite a few 4 wheelers driving around in the truck parking lot, some begging. Sad and annoying at the same time, especially when they are driving nice cars. Also, lock your doors because there was an issue regarding people trying to break into trucks. All in all it is a good location for a big city truck stop and this one will go on the list of places to stop in the future.
