They found a screw in the tire we had concerns with and went a head and checked on the other tires to make sure they would have a safe trip. “My 06 Winnebago/Sprinter View transmission failed all of sudden at 88k miles. I was stranded in Louisiana. So I read up on my options, saw some good reviews on Sprinter forum, and contacted Silverstar. They answered all my questions. So I ordered their rebuilt trans for $2500. (Mercedes remanufactured was quoted at about $6400) Something went wrong on the install and a threaded connection on the bellhousing that holds the cooling line failed. That ruined the trans. Unbelievable. Then came the finger-pointing between dealer and Silverstar. Now I was on day 14 in a hotel, absolutely raring to get back on the open road but still stuck. Then I got an email from Silverstar saying, "My friend, you're between a rock and a hard place. That's why we're sending a warranty transmission.". Huge relief. It shipped right away. In all likelihood the problem happened at the dealership and it wasn't a faulty unit, but Silverstar stood behind their product -- as they promised up front. All's well 1000 miles later -- Thank you Silverstar!!!”
