I was a client about four years ago. I left about a year after because I wasn't being treated well. I wasn't managing my P&L, I was still learning a lot at the time about the different facets of business. When I spoke with them on the phone, they were rude about me not managing a P&L and suggested that I may be hiding something by not sharing this info with them (again, this was ignorance on my end). I was just starting out in a new business endeavor when I started using The Hays Group. I was learning a lot about P&L management and many other things. This would have been a great opportunity for them to teach me something, and to get more revenue. Instead, Suzanne made me feel ashamed. There were several other times that I called in and I felt that they were being really rude. Now, I'm with a great accountant that has taught me many things around accounting, and what good customer service looks like.

several yrs of doing my not complicated tax returns and not without errors. Two separate yrs there were errors found after the returns were filed. I get it, stuff happens. However they completely missed a simple deduction on my 2021 return that I found…. Really no excuse. They filed an amended return and although thru no fault of theirs the IRS has taken over 6months to get me my refund. I contacted Hays and they graciously offeredto cover the amount! WOW. I was impressed. I told them that as soon as the IRS got me my return I would re-imburse the $1400. At that point I thought I was dealing with a class act… Then I get a lettersaying they would no longer do my taxes. Huh? I’ll make sure all the people that I referred know what to expectwhen Hays messes up their tax return…

From the beginning a total fail. They gave my return to an intern to do and they entered my income twice showing that I made double what I really made for the year. If you can’t get the simplest thing right how can you be trusted to do the rest.
