Historically, when I am looking for a mechanic, I never trust anyone who says they can "work on anything." I want someone who specializes in the specific make of the car I am having serviced. My priorities when choosing a mechanic are:1) do they know what they're doing? Do they work on Mercedes-Benz? ✅2) are they honest, fair, and reasonably priced? ✅3) are they passionate about what they do? Are they passionate about, not only cars, but Mercedes-Benz?✅4) do they communicate well? ?I have owned two Mercedes-Benz in my life over the past 20 plus years and Silver Star Imports has been a great resource for both of them. They have always been honest, upfront, and reliable. No issues. No complaints. Recently, however, my son purchased an old C230 for his first car. It developed a problem and is needing service. We had it towed to Silver Star Imports for diagnosis and determined that it needed a few jobs performed. Parts needed to be ordered, which was fine. However, the entire process took 3 weeks with no real communication. I called a few times along the way and rarely was able to actually speak with a representative from the shop. I had to leave messages and generally did not get a response. That being said, I fully and wholeheartedly trust that the job was done correctly. The job was done at a very reasonable cost. I appreciated and enjoyed getting to converse with the mechanic, to learn more about him, his background, and his respect and appreciation for Mercedes-Benz. He went above and beyond to ensure I understood the mechanism of what was happening.That being said, if you want the job done correctly and you are willing to be a little patient, this is the place for you. If you need a little more hand holding and or need the job done yesterday, maybe ask a few questions before you commit. I will definitely be going back.

Just had an awful experience at Silver Star. Was charged $149 for a check engine light that I didn't request and $600 to replace (6) spark plugs and air filters. I brought my own filters and plugs, so that didn't even include the parts. Then when we were leaving, my wife started the car, and the engine revved up and red-lined the tachometer, almost ran into the car parked in front of us. Not Good , not going back.........dt

This place is one of the rarely experienced automotive shop in town specialist in old fashion Mercedes from the 60's, 70's, 80'. High quality work, original parts, perfect job and affordable price. Highly recommend

I absolutely love this place! My Mercedes’ needed the thermostat replaced and Silverstar got it done quickly and at a reasonable price. They went above and beyond the “bare minimum” and made sure my baby was taken care of. I will continue using them as my mechanic to keep my car happy. 100% recommend.

CONSUMER BEWARE: As outrageous as my experience was, I swear it is the COMPLETE TRUTH. Let it be known that I bent over backwards to be patient and kind towards Michael, but after my third service attempt a pattern of behavior was well established. It is my honest straightforward opinion that Michael is rude, he is lazy, and doesn't care about his business or customers--at least that is the impression he's given me--and not just once either. The most recent experience my car was brought in 9 days ago and he hasn't even looked at it. Granted Thanksgiving was this past week, but even with a few days off I would have thought at the minimum a diagnostic would've been performed. I called yesterday to get any updates he might offer...answering machine. Finally on the fourth attempt I left a message with the receptionist who assured me he'd call back before closing. He did not, which is typical of him. That was yesterday. Today [as he always acts] as friendly as I could be he was put out by my showing up. It ended with him running his mouth. I asked for my key back and questioned what his problem was...does he hate people, hate me or hate being a mechanic. It did not end well... The last service was for an R129 500SL top issue with the controls. They did whatever they did but it only worked one time (up & down). I called and got no answer. Left a message. I brought it back the following morning and he was aggravated me then. He wanted to push me to the back of the wait list again. When he did get around to it, he discovered they didn't do it right the first time and it required a part. Without even calling to get consent he did the work and tried to charge me over $800. I was very calm but questioned why his numbers were so high. There was no adjustment made for the previous labor, which resulted in no value at all. He scoffed but went ahead and made the adjustment. I shouldn't have even had to ask. It's my fault for trusting this man with the car again. Presently I'm across the street with eyes on my car awaiting a tow to Allstar Imports, which is where I will be going from now on. I'm over hear because this old angry man actually challenged me to fight him in his parking lot--all because I expressed my dissatisfaction. Having said that my showroom new-like car is on his property. It is my opinion if a business owner is willing to lose his temper with a customer, he's probably spiteful enough to do something to my car (given the chance). If you go to Silver Star Imports, expect to get the worst service experience imaginable. Whatever you can imagine getting under your skin as a customer reliant on the trustworthiness and professionalism of a business that services your car--well all I can say is it became a reality for me trusting Michael. Good God I was foolish to go back at all. I do not wish ill on any man and rarely would I ever go public with a complaint, but this was so bad that it had to be shared. Nobody should be treated the way I was. It is astonishing to me this shop hasn't closed.

Silver Star Imports was worth the 1.5 hour drive for me to have my AC checked out. He knows his stuff, was a breeze to get scheduled with and he explained things to where I understood what was going on! 10/10 will recommend him to anyone and everyone I know.Service: Air conditioning

Ok,I've been hear several times and every time has been excellent. I was told by the Mercedes dealership I needed new shocks 3000.00 estimate right? Nope, spoke with Luke, kindest man btw, told him what we were told and he ordered shocks per this information. Ff to this week they checked out the shocks turns out it was a damper a part they would have to order. They SAVED ME MONEY and NOT SURPRISINGLY ARE HONEST! If you have ANY DOUBTS don't these guys are consummate pros. If you NEED fancy bells and whistles you can pay MORE somewhere else, if you WANT honest, kind and good people these are the people! Made my appt. Called to check on it & was told they hadn’t gotten to & would need to schedule again, after they had the car five hours. Scheduled again. Took in at 7:30am. Called to check on it & schedule our other car, got recording. Left message. They called back after 2:30 & said they wouldn’t have it done by 5. I asked what had been done, answer was “nothing”. When Jim owned this business it was great. Will NEVER GO BACK. Not professional. Waste of time.

Thanks Silver Star Imports for the great service. Michael & his Tech repaired the suspension on my SL600, which is no easy task evidently since I looked for a reputable repair on the far SW side of OKC and couldnt find one to take on the project! Im happy we took it to Edmond! Michael repaired the suspension and one other huge project, then a couple smaller ones. I believe his final invoice to me was 80% of what a dealer would charge, plus the great personal contact and experience, thanks Michael!Services: Check engine light diagnostic
