I'm so disappointed how the customer service has gone down here. This use to be the best little pharmacy and the fact that it's local was a plus. However the last time or two I have been the girls working behind the counter, other than one pharmacist, act as though the would rather be anywhere but at work. One young lady behind the counter just looked at me when I walked in and ignored me and the other seemed bothered that I had to ask for help with my prescription. Just sad to see this.

Have wanted several days for my medication to be filled. I went to pick it up and I was first told they never received the prescription from the doctor's office. Then when I stated that I confirmed that the doctors office did send it over they informed me that they where not going to fill it. I asked them why and they stated they didn't have the medication on hand, it would have been nice that the pharmacy to call me to inform me that they would not fill this medication and me waiting several days for it! My family and Iwill be taking my business somewhere else!!!

Perfect blend of personable and professional. The family owned group obviously takes pride in providing thoughtful service. I've been grateful for the problem solving and extra care with my needs. A Plus Plus is the affordable gift shop and yummy Abby's Coffee Shop.

Love Ralph's, been coming here for years. Never a problem and Edmond Urgent Care is right next door. Family owned and operated by great people. Not a long wait time and my go to place if me or my son aren't feeling well.

I think that in terms of food, this supermarket beat Walmart, no one pays me advertising, but for me it is totally true, Ralphs Mercado and you eat exquisite dishes to take away and eat, please, without talking about the economics, it has no competition.

Been going here for years! Ralph's is one of the few locally-owned pharmacies that are still around. Excellent service and really kind/caring staff. Also has a coffee shop, which is a bonus!

This pharmacy is so frustrating to me. It has such potential because it could be a great neighborhood pharmacy; however, the customer service is really subpar. For example, I ordered basic medicine through the automated system on Thursday and the system told me the prescription would be available by 10:00am Friday. I went at 10:00am Friday and the young lady at the drive-through told me it wasn’t ready yet and to come back in 30 minutes. I went back at 3:45pm and after waiting for the four cars in front of me to complete their transactions, I arrived at the window around 4:00pm. A young man in the drive-through then told me they did not have my prescription and to come back Monday. I then asked to speak to a manager to try and get a better understanding of this miscommunication. The pharmacist came to the window. I asked her why I was told the medication would ready by 10:00am, then 10:30, and now not until Monday. She said they had to order the medication from somewhere. I asked why someone did not call and let me know, so I could make other arrangements for the weekend. She said they just don’t have time to call people. She then told me they could partially fill the script and I could come back Monday for the rest. Now none of this would be a huge problem if I were told this at 10:00am, and provided the partial script then. This is just one example. Since my family and I have been using Ralph’s for over four years, we have had dozens of issues and inexperienced employees and pharmacists. We will be taking future business elsewhere.

So walking in for the first time in a new city I was recommended this place. After my appointment with my doctor I got prescribed some medicine that I needed to pickup the same day and well I was not treated very nicely by the clerk behind the counter. It being my first time at this pharmacy I didn’t know who to speak to and the prescription pickup person was busy on the phone but she waved over a blond lady in an orange suit to take care of me. Well, I don’t know if she was having a bad day or maybe my tone came off a little wrong but she proceeded to talk in a very aggressive and almost hostile like tone that I did not appreciate. I even was not able to pick up the medicine since they did not have it and would have to order it the next day so I’ll be heading over there at around 1 pm and hopefully will be treated with a little more respect and kindness that one would expect from a service that involves talking to people. Maybe I revise this review depending on the conduct but right now I’d rather head to a place that won’t treat me like poop the first time I even walk through their doors.

I was having an expensive prescription filled here since its right across the street from my work and I couldn't find it at any main retailers. Ralph called me one day and said he will no longer fill my prescription unless I bring all of my medication over (which I only have one other medication I take monthly). He said the insurance takes too long to pay so he cannot fill my prescription anymore.... he said it doesn't make sense cash flow wise for his business. As a business owner, why would you say that to a customer? I thought it was a bit unprofessional.

As someone who works here, I love Ralph and all the staff everyone is very educated and we try to help people the best we can. We go above and beyond for customers. We get coupons when they are available and apply them to your account before being asked. We pull insurance electronically or try to before patients arrive to try to save them and us time. Ralph gives discounts when nobody knows he does just because he's a good man doesn't expect anything in return just out of the goodness of his heart. Our pharmacists are very educated. We don't try to purposely not get someone their meds we have very strict guide line we have to follow from 1. DEA and 2. State board of Pharmacy. Your doctor's prescribe you anything and everything you might have 3 or 4 doctors it's the PHARMACIST job to keep you safe so you don't take medication that can be fatal if taken together. We also run any thing we can through insurance. In order to do that we have to have a prescription and YOUR insurance has to accept it being ran though. If medications are over the counter they are not going to be covered by your insurance. If they are a compound they are also not going to be covered by your insurance. ITS UP TO YOUR INSURANCE if a medication requires a prior authorization or not. We have hundreds and hundreds of patients a day that we try to take care of and go above and beyond for its a lot to keep track of sending texts messages to everyone would be exhausted and the automated system isn't 100% guaranteed either. Not to mention the customers who yell and scream and call us names over something that only your insurance controls. Like the prior authorization for example. Everyone is so quick to blame the pharmacy for every little problem when there's 3 parties involved. The doctor's office and your insurance also play a huge roll. We are just there to try and help nobody is trying to scam you and the pharmacist are only following regulated guidelines. Maybe take a step back and see it from the staffs point of view. Maybe the staffs attitude has changed because the customers has also.

I am not sure what has happened but this place has literally hit ground zero. I have always respected Ralph as a long time customer. He has always been great and I used to would never think going anywhere else. But there’s been so many issues and negligence lately and today was the final straw. I had called in a RX yesterday that no one communicated it needed a prior auth. Had I known this, I would have been doing my due diligence by calling the doctors office before we hit the weekend. No communication and all you get is excuses. When I expressed to Taylor, a so called pharmacist, the issue she told me she was certain I wasn’t using the drops everyday anyways and be okay with out them. Who is tell someone how often they are using a medication? I am sure this is not even ethical for her to say. She then laughed in my face. Who speaks to customers like this? Then she told me to call my insurance and I told her they are closed. She even argued with me over that and told me they are opened. Guess what, they were closed! She is absolutely hateful and should not be in the business of taking care of people. She has a lot of growing up to do talking to people like she did. I felt I was dealing with a catty high schooler. If this is how Ralph wants to run his business then I need to run to another pharmacy.

It’s no secret that pharmacies are not client-friendly or service-oriented. Walgreens & CVS (the “others”) just don’t have reasonable standards on patient care, wait time, fill time, and many times customer interactions.I was excited to try Ralph’s a couple/few years ago. When I first started using them, I was blown away by their service, fill time, wait time, and friendly technicians. They even applied coupons for me without me requesting it - something the “others” would never even consider doing. At one point, I had some bumps with notifications that the medication was ready. But using the app solved everything. I received notifications when the order was ready and the technicians are great at checking and replying to text inquiries about anything. I’m only mentioning this to help customers and Ralph bc I saw someone on another review with issues about being notified the medication was ready for pick up.In 2023, word had gotten out about their service and they became too busy for the amount of technicians on duty. The lines inside and outside were reminiscent of the “others” but the rest was still great. I sent a complaint recently through the app in hopes that Ralph could schedule more techs at busy times. But I was pretty loyal by this point and decided to just try to pick up at off-times.Fast forward to today (Aug 3, 2023). My new insurance had kicked in on the 1st of the month and the refill wasn’t going through (insurance entry/processing problem). After that, insurance was requiring a prior authorization form and my doctor’s office was pushing everything off on Ralph’s and insurance. You know, the loop where no one helps but they all point fingers. Ralph’s was trying and remained responsive via app texting, whereas my doctor hung up on me.I’d had a pretty bad/stressful day and decided to just go pick it up and pay cash, even though it was about $100. I hate to mention there was a long line of cars bc this is a 5-star review, but that’s the reason I went inside. I wasn’t going to complain; I felt they’d done their part. I pleasantly commented about what a great idea they had to sell M&Ms at the counter, got a pack, gave my birthday, name, and was ready to pay, credit card in hand. I didn’t mention the issue at all.Ralph realized I was the problem child lol and spoke up from the door/window and started to tell me it hadn’t been run through yet but that he’d just gotten off the phone with my doctor (I guess some kudos to the doc office for calling Ralph’s even tho I thought they’d gone home after hanging up on me; and kudos to Ralph for taking the call.) I waved him off and said, “Eh, I’m just going to pay for it.” He started to say that they’d refund the difference later, after it would go through as long as the date covers it without backdating of course. I confirmed coverage started the 1st. I was really thankful to hear it. Then he said, “Taking a chance here, but I’ll just go ahead and charge you as if you had the insurance and nd will run it through later.”You can’t tell me that the “others” would EVER do that - in ANY situation (even if someone was balling, cussing, and needed their cancer drugs or something really important). Ralph did it for me - without even a hint that I was frustrated, upset, or having a bad day. That right there is what it means to be a family pharmacy. Even during a busy time, Ralph took the time to get involved in the situation, was working to resolve it, then went OVER AND BEYOND, trusting me that it would be covered. This is what creates a loyal, Raving Fan! One thankful enough to write this loooooong review! Thanks Ralph!! You and your team are making a difference!

Edit to add response to owner: Not only was I a patient at one time, but my husband has been filling his prescriptions here since 2019. I'm very well aware of which pharmacy I am reviewing. This isn't the gotcha moment you think it is.Original review: We have been using this pharmacy since 2019 and they have gone down hill drastically within the last year. They consistently file prescriptions under the incorrect insurance and grow hostile when they are called out on it. We're transferring our medications and I urge everyone else to follow suit.

After reviewing my insurance, found out that the prescriptions for both my daughter and myself weren't processed through insurance even after asking the tech twice. This isn't the first time this has happened or the first issues we've had here. We would always rather support local but at this point, they aren't giving us a choice. To CVS we go.
