I've been client for 8 years. They sent an email on January 8, 2024, telling me that I was no longer a client. They asked me to give permission for my taxes to be moved to an all virtual booking service. I emailed them as soon as I received their email, and asked for further clarification. I just now received and automated response. I definitely DO NOT recommend this CPA agency.

I have been using Cannon & Associates not for a few years for my personal and busienss taxes. Before I met BRenda I was stuck trying to do it myself online and I had no idea how beneficial it is to have an expert like Brenda and Cannon & Associates in your corner. They are truly a game changer and gave me guidance and and advice in both the good times and some of my hardest seasons of life. I fully endorse them and reccomend them to anyone and everyone!

Cannon & Associates are incredible. They truly care about their clients and took time to explain everything to me even I asked several questions. I cannot recommend them enough. I’ll be sharing with all of my friends and family!

I feel like sharing my experience with this CPA servicing company.The 2023 tax season with Cannon was a disappointment. As they were understaffed for this tax season, many of the clients taxes were filed via extensions. I was contacted from Cannons admin requesting my documentation needed to be uploaded by 5/15/23 which it was. Then I was contacted on 6/5/23 from Chelsi Baker (CPA working for Cannon) for additional documentation. I submitted exactly what she asked for... I never received any communication from her upon receiving. Then after 2 months of hearing nothing from either Chelsi or Cannon, I emailed Cannon about any updates on my taxes. Then finally on Sept 30 I was informed my taxes were completed and that I owed Federal and State. Then I was informed that I would have to pay fines and penalties due to those being accrued on 10/02/23....but was it my fault that they were done just 2 days before the penalty date? Again no communication or updates! As a result I told them to remove me as a client due to their negligence. Then as I was informed of the penalties with no fault of my own, I was upset and let them know about it. Then they replied that maybe I should find another firm after I had already told them to remove me as a client. Would you trust your firm that didn't communicate and cost you penalties due to their negligence? Highly would not recommend them from my personal experience......now after the reply from the owner, I DID submit the estimated tax payments as suggested & that was a 2022 income estimate but you were unaware that my income and commission amounts grew this year so I was going to get penalized regardless because my taxes were not completed until 9/30!!! Now while we are on the subject of negligence, tell me that the communication after submission was adequate....NOPE not even so don't try to preach negligence to me....DONE

Loved Cannon & Associates! Jodi Childers was knowledgeable, prepared, and thorough. She did a phenomenal job in the courtroom. I would definitely hire her to represent me again.

Brenda has been doing our taxes for the last 7 years and now also helps with our tax planning. She has guided us through the challenges of an inheritance and opening a small business. With her tax planning services she’s also saving us a ton by helping us structure the business properly. Her guidance has been invaluable and worth every penny. Our questions are answered within a reasonable time frame and Brenda is always happy to set an appointment for more complicated questions. We won’t work with any other CPA as long as Cannon and associates are around.

I would never recommend that anyone use these folks for tax preparation. They jacked up their prices and they leave people in the dark about what they will actually pay. You never get communication from your CPA and there is no excuse for the amount of time it takes for your return to get completed. I would select zero stars if that were an option.

This is the second, and last, time we will use Cannon & Associates. We didn’t have adequate guidance for tax withholding, in the two years we used them. Our rates went up, and the quality of the work went down. The secretary stonewalled me from asking questions that were important to me. I’m very disappointed in this CPA.

Brenda Cannon and her staff are AMAZING! They are always so helpful and willing to answer questions! They make you feel so comfortable! I completely trust this firm with both our business and personal taxes. I know they will be done right, questions asked where needed and thoroughly reviewed. It is so nice to have such confidence when dealing with all things taxes!

I just switched to Cannon & Associates, CPAs after moving to Oklahoma 4 years ago. They have done a great job at helping with multiple state tax returns and an LLC return. Very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend them.
