Kelly Nelson demanded that we pay her 50 dollars to take 4 newborn kittens found in an abandoned lot. We had been bottle feeding them and litter training them with formula and supplies we paid for for over a week. Kelly was angry that we could not afford the time or expense to care for them an additional week. She told us that if she couldn’t find a foster for them, she would just “smother them”. I pray the kittens are okay and will be cared for. Sad.

Staff/pricing/animals all 5 stars for me. Adopted 1 kitten from a litter of 3... went back the next day and adopted the other 2 kittens. Now, a happy family. FYI, penny,Lenard and sheldon are doing great. Thanks again, all.

In January, my partner and I adopted a beautiful black puppy that was named Ophelia that we found on Adopt a Pet from Stephens County Humane Society. Today, her name is now Julia, she is 8 months old, very rambunctious, and very loved. She is our true bestfriend and has become a wonderful sister to our elderly black lab, she is wonderful with our kids and we are so grateful to Stephens County Humane Society. I looked for months to find the kind of dog we were looking for that was in our price range and they were even having a discount day when we adopted her! Please if you are reading this, adopt, adopt, adopt. There are pets waiting for you who want to and will love you. I couldn't imagine my life without my Julia and I owe it all to SCHS. ??

Very clean, helpful staff, animals up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, micro chipped. Animals are healthy. We got us the cutest little puppy. If looking for a animal to love I highly recommend you going and looking here first.

Thanks goes out to all the employees for helping our community in all the ways yal do. It's not noticeable. Like by helping people with food for their baby's and taking care of their animals when they just can't... make it a great day.
