Like most institutions American Heritage has been has put the almighty dollar over courtesy. I am on disability and I receive my monthly allowance on a government card. To avoid ATM fees the bank has always allowed us to access our funds at no charge by using the inside walk up teller. I cant tell you how disappointing it was to be charged $10 to withdrawal funds from inside. ThatS 3 to 4 times higher than using the ATM. FOR PEOPLE ON FIXED INCOMES THIS IS TRAGIC. A REAL LOSS OF COMPASSION. I PERSONALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM OR ANY OTHER PLACE THAT GOUGES LOWER INCOME DISABLED PEOPLE FOR NOT HAVING AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM..

If I could give this bank a negative star, I absolutely would. I have had this account since they bought the Cleveland bank because I was a very happy accoun holder with the Cleveland Bank. I had previously had American Heritage & had numerous problems with them putting my deposits in other people's accounts & visa versa. I have only kept this account there due to proximity for a physical deposit that had to go through there, but I no longer live in Cleveland. There is SO SO SO much better service & benefits & much less costly & more competent service done with my other bank (and many other banks). The physical deposit I had to keep this account for was once monthly exactly the same for 10+ yrs, the person who made the deposits would provide my account #, name, phone number & address.... the bank would still deposit it into the wrong account 40-50% of the time!!!! I'm finally not having to deal with that deposit anymore as of a few months ago & I am THRILLED to be closing this account & never dealing with this nonsense again!!! FURTHERMORE, my ex sister in law worked at the bank a couple years ago & she stated that they were blatantly doing business corruptly, such as putting deposits & debits in a certain order so that it would ensure they could charge overdraft fees etc. And let's not forget how flat out rude & pretentious some of these employees treat their account holders.
