I deposited my first check from a trusted source yesterday. Arvest released $200 for me to use until processing wad complete. I bought $70 dollars in groceries that night. This morning my account is negative and when I called customer service they informed me that they would be holding the check for two weeks because "this is a new account". I was not forewarned about this before depositing my check as I obviously would have simply cashed the check. Poor communication and they seem to have no way of fixing this so now I'll be behind on bills and borrow money until my next check. Worst experience I've ever had with ANY banking institution. Fix this Arvest!
Update: wasn't a good first impression. However, the branch manager did some digging and made some calls, and the check was processed. This shows their willingness to solve their mistakes in a timely fashion. I changed my review from 1 to 3 and hopefully will give a 5 star in the future.

Visited with concerns about a letter that said “contact us if you have questions” so I visited this branch. Was treated like a criminal by an associate here named Aaron and told any problems with my account are my fault. I’ve been banking with Arvest for 22 years, but my encounter and the complete lack of help from this branch has me looking for a better place to bank.

After using arvest for years, I typically go here every month to transfer money from my chime account, into my arvest account. Today I go through the drive through, but tell me I now have to come onto the lobby, ok I guess. Get in there and she tells me they can no longer do it. An email or something out to customers would be nice about the change. On top of it the lady who helped me could barley understand me. Very inconvenient for your customers.

My experience was not good. The only person who was friendly and willing to help was the teller. I think they are racist. The first bank where I go to open an account and the attention is bad!

Use chase if you can. Fees for ridiculous things they have no respect for your time. Sitting here in the lobby writing g this bad review because they said it would take 15 min to transfer money from my savings to checking.
