I enjoy coming to this location. The basketball gym is pretty big and offers enough basketballs to practice with. It's never too busy and I always have a good time.

The actually Y itself is ok, but the child watch…I canceled my membership strictly because of how poor the child watch was for starters, the employees never introduced themselves to me when I dropped off my kids. I had no idea what their names were/are. They never once greeted my children coming or when the left. The staff were on their phone every time I came and left. My last straw was when I walked in on a staff yelling at a child for crying, the staff had her back turned away from me but when she heard me kids yell for me she turned around and saw me, her tone changed real quick. As I was leaving the staff at the front desk said to me that the employee working in their shouldn’t be allowed to work with kids! THE STAFF SAID SHE SHOULD NOT BE WORKING WITH KIDS.Parents, do yourself a huge favor and find a gym with great child reviews, if i would have read these reviews first I wouldn’t have signed up.

I have had 3 really bad experiences this last year. One(which was recently) where there was a CHILD (Very young ) on the end treadmill. I asked the attendant if they had changed the rules for children on treadmills in the gym and she said yes,8 years olds can work out now. Since ALL treadmills were full I left. Drove all the way up to the Rockwell one to work out. They said that NO they weren't suppose to let this young of a child on their treadmills . So,I am confused as to WHAT your rules are now. I also have a complaint of no one being at the front desk at the Bethany one as well....in the back talking to the attendant. Twice,I have had to leave the Bethany Y this year as the people on the next treadmill on their cellphones carrying on a very loud conversation. When I complained to the attendants...one walked away from me and I asked if something could be said to them they never answered me. When I called back to talk with someone they would never give me a satisfactory answer. ......as to WHY they couldn't on the spot address the issue. Signs were on the treadmills saying no conversations on cellphones.

YMCA is great but paid for basketball no coach showed up and no one from gym offered to assist the kids from y. Kids just played. Paid 85 dollar for 2 day of coaching and no coach even showed. My child really wanted to play.

We have been paying to play soccer for the Y. Two weeks ago we were kicked off of the practice field to let another team practice. I emailed the director and did not receive a response when I asked why we are having to pay for this but not able to use the appropriate practice field when all other teams in our age range have been able to use the field to practice and somehow every week, only our team gets moved to a tiny field. Then no ref showed up to our game that Saturday. A parent volunteered to ref until someone became available. Once one was available, he was sitting on an empty field on his phone and our coaches had to go ask him to ref our game. The next week, the ref clearly didn’t know the rules of soccer and he was allowing the other time to shove, elbow and push. Now here we are at practice and have again, been kicked off the practice field to allow another team to practice, instead of us, at our scheduled time. The staff fails to communicate and/or they have a lot of misunderstandings, the director doesn’t respond or provide resolutions. Or maybe they just don’t care.***Edit: The director did email me back after my 2nd email about two weeks later. Apparently we are supposed to be alternating using the practice field and none of the coaches or staff were told that. Last week at our game, we started late and the refs cut the game off at 45 minutes, instead of an hour, like they usually play for. Just speculating….I think part of the problem is there are a bunch of kids running the facility, who don’t really want to be there.
