I am helping my sister buy a home in OK to be near her son. After evaluating the market, I decided to go with a new home. There are two options in the Altus market, one being just over $200,000 price point built by the Jima Group. I wanted to know a little information about them. I have purchased several new homes in the past, all from national builders. They have websites informing you what they have to offer. I could not find info on Jima, so I contacted the agent they use. What kind of warranty comes with the house? Structural warranty? Roof warranty? Can I upgrade the flooring? Basic questions any new homeowner would want to know. The agent, Ivy Meyres, replied to my introduction text. I followed up with my questions. Two, days go by with no response. On the third day, I texted again, saying I thought I would have received something by now, but this time I asked an additional question. I asked if I put half down, could I get a discount on the price? Early on, I informed her this would be a cash purchase. Ivy’s response surprised me. I never received a response to my initial questions, but asking for a discount triggered a rapid reply. Ivy said, “There will be no concession. The price is the price.” Keep in mind, Ivy works for C-21, not directly for Jima. I asked her if she needed to ask the builder before she answered. She responded, “No, I don’t need to ask the builder. “WE” don’t need your money.” I was like, damn. Shortly after this exchange, the house I asked about went under contract, so I moved on.Once again, I perused the Altus marked. After several weeks, I circled back to the Jima Group. My family in Altus informed me Jima had another house under construction. I sent Ivy a text asking for the specs. Once again, she answers my initial text and asks for my email. Once again, one day goes by. A second day goes by. So, this time I contacted the C-21 broker. Below is a copy of the email response I received.“” When I called the builder and asked about your questions, he asked if this is the same guy Ivy had problems with. And I told him yes. I’m sorry to say he made it very clear that he would not enter into any agreement or contract with you.”So Ivy never provided the information I asked for, but she did tell the builder something negative about me. I believe the legal term for that is “slander.”I don’t think any of the questions I asked were unreasonable. I am happy Jima Group has enough money they can turn away a cash buyer. Some national builders are more flexible than others. But . . there is a right way and wrong way to tell a customer, “This is my product. Take it or leave it.” Altus is definitely its own market, where national market norms don’t apply. I do know the military air base in Altus influences the market. I am career military with a bag full of money and was basically told to go f%(? off.

Joan is amazing, and all around a great person. We rent from century, and they’re always right on it when we give them a call about repairs.

Happy New Year! Thank you for the receipt and thank you for having this option available for families to come visit their loved ones. This meant the world to me as this was my first Christmas with my grandsons. In addition, this allowed my grandsons to spend some nights with me and I was able to make my youngest grandsons birthday cake and host his birthday.Thank you for giving my family the ability to experience life as if we all lived close to each other.I will definitely utilize this service during each visit.

Our realtor is Betty Dosher, and she is outstanding! We recommend her for any and all real estate transactions. She treated us like family and did not push us to do anything we didn't want to do.

I have known Shoya for over 8 years now. She was my original realtor when I purchased my home so it was a no brainer to use her again when it came time to sell. She is SO knowledgeable and is a dream to work with. Keeps her clients informed every step of the way and was awesome. Selling has been quite the journey since I live 2 states away now but Shoya was able to navigate everything including getting contractors out to my house for necessary repairs. I 1000000000% recommend her for anyone needing an experienced and fantastic realtor in Altus! THANK YOU SHOYA!

We picked out a house to lease online (after searching google for hours) and moved to Altus. As soon as we got to the house, we knew it wasn’t at all what the pictures looked like online! We were stuck with 2 toddlers and our son that’s in a wheel chair, in the uhall with no house to move into! We went to Century 21 and Joan was amazing. She gave us the keys to look and even stayed late to run our credit report. If she wouldn’t have stayed late for us we would have had to wait all weekend until offices opened on Monday! Thank y’all so much!! Great properties & great property management company!
