We stayed here just 2 nights and it was adequate and served the purpose. It is a very old motel which we knew going into it. The room was very small but had the essential furniture you need, a bed, nightstand desk/chair, small fridge and TV. The floor in our room looked to be newer vinyl plank flooring, but the bathroom fixtures and tile were from the 70s or 80s probably. It appeared to be clean but showed its age for sure. There were no breakfast items available for guest despite what some of the reviews mentioning it. There is a fridge so would recommend bringing some breakfast items or snacks, drinks. The staff answered calls quickly when we had questions. The motel is walkable to town if you're relatively fit, or a super close drive otherwise. If you're okay with vintage, then this motel is not a bad place too stay.Rooms: Very small but had the essential furniture needed.Nearby activities: Super close to the heart of Yellow Springs.Safety: The doors use a keycode plus a chain lock. Seemed to be a safe area.Walkability: Walkable to town, 1 mile??Food & drinks: None available.Noteworthy details: Very old bathroom.

Being born in the 50's, I like motor hotels. This is my first stay, and I chose room #4. The room was clean and comfy. The bed was comfortable. My favorite restaurant, Calypso, is within walking distance. Also Yellow Springs Brewing. If you have a bike, you could ride right into YS. You can also cut through the neighborhood east of Rte 68 and ride to the bike trail. The location is rural. In the morning, I sat outside and listened to the wildlife in the meadows across the street. The only dings:I had to open the windows to get rid of cleaning products odors. Not objectionable, just didn't like it. The A/C unit is loud.Love that I can open the windows for fresh air. Will definitely return!

Shower tile is moldy and there were bugs on the windowsill. The lighting is very dim and furnishings sparse. Our check in code email was sent late and the staff don’t answer the phone at check-in time. A coffee pot is provided, but there are no cups, and the TV on wall lacks speakers. If you need a cheap place to stay in YS, it might be better to camp outbecause I cannot recommend that you stay here.

Fairly nice for a motel. When we needed sheets replaced they were very responsive.

We absolutely loved our stay in #5 at the Springs Motel! It was just perfect for what we needed during our brief visit to Yellow Springs for the mini #YSFF. I had a bunch of questions about parking our trailer and checking in, and everyone was just sooo kind and hospitable leading up to our date. The rooms were so cute and super clean, the bed was comfy, temperature was easily controlled in the room and the general communications with the motel staff was awesome. Great smelling toiletries and the coffee was pretty decent, too! Shout out to Chloe for making the rooms so clean and welcoming. We are very much looking forward to coming back soon and bringing our bicycles with us. I learned that you can rent out the whole motel for events...which would be a BLAST.Enjoy your stay here!

Last year I was visiting for an annual convention in Springfield, and knew that I wanted to stay in Yellow Springs because I had fond memories of the village from my college days. After a 12 hour drive from Minnesota, this was the *perfect* room to relax in. The motel itself was nice and quiet, the room was renovated and had everything I needed for my stay (including a desk I could work at), and housekeeping was amazing and texted me after check-out when I accidentally left an important item in my room. I am actually staying here again while visiting for the convention this year!

Quaint and retro. Rooms annd bathrooms are small, but to be expected with a vintage motel. Was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. Road noise was there but as it got later traffic died down and it was very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in Suite 11 and were impressed by the cleanliness and convenience of check-in. Before our arrival, we received an email with the room code and did not have to physically check-in with an employee. The room was not very large, but it worked perfectly for the two of us. This place is a great value for the price.

The rooms are small but quaint. It was our first time staying but not our last.Nearby activities: Yellow Springs is one of our favorite places to visit. And of course a stop at the Brandeberry Winery is always on the list

The room where really clean. The shower had very cold water no hot water at all it smelled like someone came in with incense and it covered the bed comforter it had a funky smell but they did have really good soap in the bathroom and it was easy to get to and park. .

We really enjoyed our stay! The rooms are small (what you'd expect for an old motel), but they're very cozy. The doors are opened with codes instead of key cards, which I appreciate because it's easier for people with you to come and go without needing a key.The only complaint I have is the beds and pillows. The beds are VERY stiff and the pillows are very flat. While we were able to sleep, it definitely wasn't the best night of sleep we've had. However, we still enjoyed the historic motel!

My recent stay at the Yellow Springs Motel was truly wonderful. It is situated in a quiet location and offers a calm escape from the outside world. However, it is conveniently close to the local attractions, dining, and shopping. The motel's cleanliness was outstanding, and the staff were very friendly and responsive, ensuring a comfortable stay. I highly recommend the Yellow Springs Motel to anyone in search of a quiet and welcoming retreat!

I recently spent two nights at this motel in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and I couldn't have been happier with my stay. The motel's prime location allowed for easy exploration of the town's attractions, shops, and restaurants. The cleanliness of the room was exceptional, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The check-in process was smooth and the motel offered a peaceful and serene environment that ensured a restful night's sleep. From start to finish, my experience was top-notch, and I highly recommend this motel to anyone traveling to or passing through Yellow Springs.

Great place and honestly will probably return. Only complaint is the moldy shower walls and shower curtain, that was fairly gross and I dripped some water on the floor and when I wiped it up the paper towel I used was filthy so a good mopping might be in order. The price is a bit steep for the lack of cleanliness.
