I’ve loved going here since I was a child and I now bring mine here every few years or so. It would be amazing if they had more money but they do well with what they have. It’s nice to see they’ve opened a lot more stuff up in the last couple of years.
The trolley appears to run on the half hour fyi. Its fun and Id recommend it. Get there on the hour, check things out for a half hour, take the ride, then look at whatever you missed or you want to see again.
I believe you can use the same ticket to get multiple rides in a day but not sure there is quite enough to do there to be able to really wait through the hour between trolley rides multiple times.

It's OK, a little anticlimactic

The volunteers are exceptional and give their time because they love trains and preserving history. Please visit and support their efforts if you are able.

Amazing little museum with a lot of old equipment. My favorite part is that I can go in the cab of 587 ?

This is the famous rail museum here in Worthington. I have visited to experience for Halloween Ghost trolley. This is fun for kids as they get to explore Halloween and also about the coal based rail locomotive engine and their history. The have 2-3 stationed trolley with some of the Halloween stuff and 15 min small ride in train. All the Halloween stuff is in stationary carts so on the trolley ride don’t expect any scary part it’s just ride. If your kids like trains then you should visit. The ticket costs 10$.

We went for the Ghost Trolley which is widely touted as a “family-friendly” event. Every family is different but the decor was way creepier than I expected for something that’s good for little kids (I.e., It clown, gross witch faces, a real casket). There were kids there who did ok but I’d caution if your child is very young or on the sensitive side, I’d visit another time of the year or while it’s still light out. We ducked out early (and the volunteer was very understanding). You were supposed to get a goodie bag at the end so my daughter was even more bummed knowing she didn’t get a goodie bag because she wasn’t “brave” enough. Will try to visit again in summer or for Christmas.

A hidden gem in the middle of North Columbus! Very small but a lot of Ohio rail history here. It runs solely with volunteers and donations. There is a fee to take a ride on the historical street car down the tracks about a half mile or so. The staff volunteers are very knowledgeable. Your small and big kids will enjoy this side trip!Right now they are only open on Sunday afternoon so but will have Friday and Saturday hours in October for Halloween theme.

A very special place where history abounds. The volunteer staff is very knowledgeable about the different trains and cars on the property. The fact that you can walk around at your own pace and go inside of the different trains makes it really unique. The trolley ride is a lot of fun too! You can do it as many times as you want, it runs every half hour.Highly recommend a visit, even if you aren't a train enthusiast.

Despite the relatively small scale of the entire operation, what makes this place so cool are the people who “work” there. These volunteers give 100% and it shows. The 20 min round trip train ride is a must. Kids loved the chance to “toot” the horn at the end. A nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon with excited kids who want to go on a train ride!

This place is awesome wether you’re a kid ornot. There’s also a fullyFunctioning train ride that lasts about 20min and goes a mile or two. Def recommend! It’s only $9 for an adult and under 3 is free.

I’ve driven by here and wondered what this place was! We went for the Halloween ghost trolly. Cute little tour and nice to see a piece of history. Imagine how people and things used to be transported through the country before airplanes and semis. Kid loved the trolley ride. Ghost stories were cheesy but lil boy made sure to hold on to his ticket so he could come back lol.
