I had driven past this salon so many times and remember it being here forever. Since I live down the street now, I called for a cut & style appt. It was made with Kate and was told my service would be $35. The receptionists were so nice. I checked in, was given a glass of water, and she took my coat to hang up. Kate was very sweet, and did an amazing job. I got a complimentary scalp massage before my wash. The wash seating is comfortable and reclines, with a foot rest. I also got a complimentary mini facial while my hair was being conditioned. I got just the cut & style I wanted. Being a new customer, I received a punch card for future services, and a small tube of Aveda hand lotion.

Beware of their business’ late cancellation policy. They will charge you for late cancellations. I was new customer unaware of their policy but they docked me anyway.

Got my hair cut the end of June, and just now noticing when I straighten it instead of curl/scrunch/put my hair up how awful the cut is. These layers look extremely choppy and not at all blended. Also, extremely expensive for a poor haircut.

I was debating on whether to post a review or not about my experience but then I realized I would only be part of the problem if I didn’t. I’m giving this experience a 2. Not because of customer service but because of the lack of requirements in the cosmetology industry that is being represented in this vicinity. The lack of requirements meaning only focused on some hair types and not all. Which in my opinion no salon should be up and running if they only work with some hair types out of convenience. To start, this was my daughters second experience at a salon and it broke my heart how it went for her at LennonHeads. First, I want to be clear that this is not at all a race issue but more so an inclusive hair issue because hair comes in all types and not just 1A-2C. My daughter has 3B/C hair which means she has tighter curls and it requires a different method for detangling/treating it. Which leads to my review that this vicinity did not have staff that was trained to know because even when the stylist called the manager (I’m assuming) over the manager had no clue on how to help. ((To give insight my 5 year old was crying from the pain)) So I had to step in, eventually take over and detangle my own daughters hair which took longer than the time it usually takes for other clients. I even taught the stylist a method to detangle curly hair and I’m happy that I did that way they can better assist other clients in the future in their career ( which if they stylist reads this, this isn’t just on you but who you work for). Aside from the scalp detox, my daughter was scheduled for a blow dry but when I asked if they had a comb blow dry they had told me they did not. So the stylist ended up having to just style it into two braids. The whole point of me going was to get all the services done and not this. I’m a tired single mom that’s a student and works full time so I needed this to work for me. Literally cried in the car right after. To conclude, I would suggest two things to the owner for others to not have the same experience.1. Have some of the staff trained on more than just a few hair types because again hair comes in all types and I recommend Adriana at Curly Top she offers curly hair training or 2. list out in your website the limitations the vicinity has when it comes to working with all hair types . That way another parent or adult could avoid their child having to go through what my daughter had to go through. But thank you to staff for making my daughters experience a bit better by offering a lollipop at the end and not having me pay for the full thing.Services: Hair hydration treatments
