I've been going to this Lowe's in Wooster for years, and I've had good and bad experiences, but today was the last straw. They've lost my business for good. I'd rather drive to the Home Depot in Wadsworth or Medina. I was trying to buy a sheet of styrofoam insulation today. The sign said $9.39 or something. I get to the register, and it rings up as $16.99 or something. I tell the cashier that the sign said $9.39, and she acts like she doesn't know what to do. I tell her come and look, and I'll show you. She walks with me back to where I got it, and I showed her. She tries telling me that the sign is in the wrong spot. Well, ok, so where's the right sign? It's a law that stores must honor the prices advertised. Doesn't matter if the sign is in the wrong spot or whatever. Not my fault. They need to honor the price that is posted. So, we walk back to the register, and she talks to her manager. Rather than giving it to me for that price, he then walks back there to see for himself, as if he doesn't believe us? He comes back a few minutes later and shows me a picture of a different sign on his phone. That was NOT the sign that was there minutes before! And, I told him that I know he switched the sign, and that he needs to honor the original price sign. He said no. So, for a measly $6 or $7 they have decided to lose a good customer. So be it. Buyer beware. These people are shady as Hell. They can take their over priced styrofoam and stick it where the sun doesn't shine. I'll be going to Home Depot from now on.

Wooster Ohio Store. The most poorly run home-improvement store I've ever seen. Whole they have plenty of staff, Lowes doesn't bother to train them. Handing them a book, telling them to read it and put them out in the sales floor is poor training. nobody knows where anything is without looking it up on the phone. That shows what kind of training those poor employees get. I've never heard so many people complain while I'm in there. Customer service is atrocious they take you from one computer to another trying to get the transaction through. Is it any wonder another major home improvement store is building one and a half miles away from them

While some people know what they are doing, in general the service is terrible. I phoned a $400+ order in and paid early afternoon, showed up after 5, and still waited over an hour to get everything loaded...

Wow, Wooster Lowe's. Your store is an embarrassment. Had an employee cut me off and almost hit me pushing a flat bed cart. Didn't even apologize. Your plants looks dried out and sad. And there was carts scattered all over the parking lot. Won't be going back. I think next time I will choose Manards or Home Depot. Get it together.

I rented a carpet shampooer from Lowes in Wooster OHIO and as I was shampooing my carpet, it started leaking oil all over my cream colored carpet! I took it back to Lowes customer service desk immediately and told them what happened and asked the cashier, Brad, for another machine. While he was writing up the new transaction, I picked up a $6.99 bottle of spot treatment and asked if he would throw it in for free. He asked his manager, Crystal, and came back and said she said "No". I told him that I was surprised that she wouldn't be willing to offer it, as it would be much cheaper than replacing my carpet and would show good customer care. I asked him to ask her again and that I had pictures to show her. He did, and again, she said "No", that I would have to contact Lowes Corporate Office Attorney if I wanted to sue for new carpet. Again, I was shocked at her lack of customer service and asked to speak directly with her. Brad went back and told her I would like to speak with her, and she refused to come out and speak with me. I have always had great customer care with Lowes, so you can imagine my disappointment with their manager, Crystal (Brad said he could not give me her last name). You can do better Lowes!

Very poor communication within company and with the consumer. The sales team is very convincing and sells products for their own benefit. We purchased a fence from 1 and have been dealing with excuse after excuse. 1st it was the date for install kept changing. Then the materials were dropped off in the wrong area because they failed to call and inform us of the delivery in a timely manner. 20min notice is not enough time to drop what we're doing and drive 45min to get home for the delivery. Next it was the contractors used to install the fence. We painted blue and orange lines/ drawings of where we wanted our gates to be located, they argued that where we wanted the gates were not feasible; how far the fence was to go based on the sales reps measurements when he was selling us the job, the sales rep argued with us and made us feel like we were wrong; the type of latches we asked for, we were told they only install a certain type, we didn't get what we wanted; the way the fence was to face, pretty side out. We only have part of it facing the correct way, the other part was an inconvenience to the installers because of our neighbors fence location. The installers and the sales rep insisted that we had to pay to have our neighbors fence removed and reinstalled so we could have the fence face the correct way. We didn't get any of these things, and for the price we paid for this fence I expected to at least have quality work. Our fence has been up for about a month and the gates are already sagging and the latches, that we didn't ask for, are not working properly. The wood is already cracking. There are chainsaw marks on every post from the laziness of the contractors. They used a chainsaw to cut the 2x4s because they were too lazy to measure the posts on center. We thought going through a known name company, we would get quality work and have a beautiful fence. Instead we are still battling with Lowe's on how they are going to remedy this awful situation. Our summer is basically ruined because we don't have access to our backyard. We can't plant grass until fall, we currently have a muddy backyard. We don't feel comfortable leaving our 3 large breed dogs in the yard because it's so flimsy. All we asked for was a sturdier fence than the one we removed. Instead, we got basically the same quality fence for a much more expensive price. We even had to clean up their mess... the communication between sales rep, contractor, "project manager" ( who works in a different state), and customer is a joke. No one knows what up from down. This has been going on since March 9th. To anyone looking to get a new fence, DO IT YOURSELF! You'll probably do a much better job for a less amount of money.

This is my 1st time writing a review. Normally, I figure anyone can have a bad day and good help is hard to find. I believe this place prides itself on poor customer performance. I learned a long time ago, that Lowe's stocks the lowest grade of wood. It is normally warped in some way, but if you are diligent you can find a few straight pieces. You are better off going to a local lumber mill, for quality wood at similar prices. That is hard for me, with my work schedule. So I sorted through the wood and found enough 1x2x12 poplar plus a few other assorted pieces for my needs. The 1x2x12 was $35. When I got home, I started thinking that seemed high, so I checked. Sure enough Menard's stocked the same thing for $25. That shouldn't be a problem, they offer a low price guarantee right? I went in with my receipt and the prices on my phone. The words out of the cashiers mouth was immediately, no you have have to have something physical. I explained that it was in the store and she could pull it up on her computer. It was the same species of wood, same size. I had to go home, load the wood and return it to then drive to Menard's. My bill at Menard's was under $100 with a 11% rebate, the Lowe's refund was $145. It was worth the drive, although I would rather do local lumber companies. Checking the Lowe's website on the price match guarantee, it says to bring in a flyer or the item on your phone and get 110% of the difference. This fall, I had a deck project I was doing and needed balusters. When I went to Lowe's, everyone they had was bowed by at least 20 degrees. When I finally found an employee and asked when they would get more in, I was told not until those sold. I explained they all had a bow to them, and they repeated they would not get more until the ones they had sold. I went elsewhere and found most of the stock straight. I had another project where I was painting vinyl shutters. I looked up what kind of paint was needed for vinyl. While I was I looking an employee told me he guaranteed this paint would work. It did not stick to vinyl. So I went to Sherwin Williams and they got me the right paint. Another time, I was looking for a product (I can't remember what). I had it pulled up on the website, it gave the item number and the aisle and bay. I went to the aisle, and that bay number was skipped. I asked an employee and they shrugged their shoulders and went back to stocking shelves without saying a word. I had researched thermostats and decided to get an Ecobee instead of a Nest. Lowe's showed them in-stock. I was told I didn't want an Ecobee, to get a Nest by a couple employees. I said no, I wanted Ecobee. They said they did not stock them. I showed them that they did and after much searching, they found that they did stock them.

Was in on 11-7-17 & the 1st time ever that there was very little "good" treated lumber left on the racks. Not sure whats going on at this store but you would think it would be all stocked up since we are coming up on the end of the season. Went to home depot & spent about a $1000

Don't make a major purchase through Lowe's Wooster. We have made 2; first a fridge and second a mower. The fridge was delivered on time but the French doors were put on at an angle. My husband adjusted them, but it still leads to rubs and wear in certain places. Being naive and nice lead us to not filing a complaint. Most recently we purchased a zero turn radius mower from this store on Father's Day. Was told that it would be delivered on Thursday between 8 am and 11 am. After 11 am passed, I called the store. A woman named Kim said it was on the truck to be delivered and the delivery truck was probably running late. By 4 pm I had not received the mower and called again. Customer service, who also spoke to the manager, told me at this time it was not on the truck. The original mower that they were going to deliver had a defect, so they were going to put together another one and deliver it first thing the next day. I never received a courtesy call. I just waited all day. Thank goodness I wasn't scheduled to work that day! The mower was not delivered first thing, but rather at 11 am the next morning. They did call 9 am to say that the deliver would take place between 10:30 and 12:30. My husband got on the mower the following day to find that the tracking was off. He wasn't home when it was delivered and I just had them roll it into the garage. The mower wasn't even set up properly. My husband called them. They said they could come and get it then bring it back, or he could try to fix it himself. So, after spending over 3,000 at this Lowe's store, I did not get prompt and courteous delivery or a mower that was in perfect condition at the time of delivery. We are filing a complaint. My husband decided to do the adjustments himself for now. If something goes wrong, we will contact them. I am very concerned about doing business with this Lowe's in the future though.

Everyone here was so helpful and knowledgable! I forgot to look at the name tag of the first man who helped us, but the service manager, Scott, was great. It is a rarity to find good customer service these days

Incompetent staff; poor selection. Every time I venture into this store I am baffled at the lack of knowledge the staff has. For instance: - They didn't know that you need a special type of electrical box (aka metal instead of plastic) for ceiling fans. - They didn't know that there is plastic you can purchase to cover your windows during the winter. - They didn't know that what an LED light bulb is. I could keep going all day. They also don't carry nearly as much merchandise as their bigger, more competent, orange-colored competition. If you need advise, GO TO TIGNOR'S. Although everything there is more expensive than Lowes, you at least have a competent sales staff, and you will save gas money by not having to go back to get the right item.

Very practical of course, but keep in mind your local hardware store as well.
