My husband and I traded a truck for an SUV about 2-3 months ago, my husband needed something that was better on gas but also had four wheel drive for his job. Everything went good Jim had sold the truck that we traded, and then my husband realize that the four wheel drive did not work, so he contacted Jim's to see if they can make it right by getting him the part that was needed. Jim and his staff ordered the part that was needed for the four wheel drive, and then when it came time to get it fixed today, he was going to make my husband pay for the $90 part. When my husband made the deal to trade the vehicles, he was under the impression that the four wheel drive worked and yes, technically he should have made sure that it worked before he did the deal but he didn't want to take it fourwheeling on a test drive to figure out if it worked or not. All it was was an actuator to even get the four wheel drive to engage, nothing expensive or extensive. Jim yelled at my husband and belittled him, and even went as far as to tell him that he's the one who broke it, when my husband said he wasn't paying for the part to get fixed. There was also an issue with a wrong name on the title so when my husband had went to get plates for the car, it was in someone else's name because Jim had made a mistake on the name, and then when they had this heated conversation today, Jim had blamed my husband by telling him that he had gave him a wrong name on purpose & he had to pay extra to get the name changed at the courthouse. My husband wasn't trying to get him to fork out any amount of money or to go back on the deal that they had originally had in place, all he wanted was the four wheel drive to work like it was said to him that it did in the first place. Just a little warning to anyone that would like to buy a car from them, just a heads up to let you know what you're going to be dealing with, it wouldn't have been hard to pay for a $90 part but it was the fact of the matter. Probably one of the worst customer service that we've ever dealt with before, so beware! ?♀️
