The rooms are clean and well laid out. The location is great. Check-in wasn't pleasant, little pricey for what you get. But again it was clean.

The best staff hands down. Ann is one of the kindest front desk clerks you will ever meet, Jess is amazing as well and Ken the GM is truly a terrific human being. For the price, there is no better option in the area. Period. They are the cleanest, most professional and compassionate people around. Lots of good food options nearby and it’s right off of I-90, so the location is top tier.Again, I can’t stress enough—good people deserve good business. As someone who frequents hotels for work, I will always choose this red roof inn first.

Was disgusting, smelled like dog urine, hair on the floor with god knows what else, toilet had sitting black stuff to the point I ran out screaming with my pants still down and still needed to use the bathroom. Swear this place has bed bugs, the bedding was stained, and splatters some looked like blood. Checked in at 3:05am checked out by 5am today. Disgusting if you don’t mind dirty go for it but if your OCD and a germaphobe not for you. Also didn’t know it was a motel as the pictures look very deceiving

I stayed at the Red Roof Inn from January 18th through February 9th, 2024 due to the pending and subsequent death of my mother. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty in providing me support. The front office staff repeatedly asked me how I was coping. The front office staff also assisted me during a bout of winter weather. The cleaning staff left me weekly notes that were very encouraging. Overall the staff made a very difficult journey more bearable. My sister lives near the motel. When I come back to visit her, I will make sure to stay at the Red Roof Inn in Willoughby.

Paid cash for a weeks stay. Had an emergency and had to check out the next day. They told me because I paid in cash I have to wait two weeks for my refund of $300+ I had a credit card on file when I made the reservation and they wouldn't even put it on that. It's been two weeks and 2 days still no refund. Rooms are small no refrigerator, or coffee pot.Not recommend.

The rooms were reasonable in price. However the bathtub was clogged. So I reported it to the front desk. Nothing was done so I couldn't shower the next day.

Great place for cross country stop. Good value, Clean, comfortable, well maintained, right off Interstate 90 and plenty of food places nearby. No charge for pets.

I stayed here a couple of nights while on a fishing trip. The hotel was very conveniently located right off the highway. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby too. My room was spacious and clean. Property itself is nice and the area felt quite safe. What I was most impressed by was the incredibly quick check-in and check-out. That was such a blessing compared to other places I've stayed in the past. I will say that this is not a luxury hotel, but it will definitely meet your needs (especially price) for a good place to stay.

It's a place to sleep just off the highway, that's about it. I didn't bother with an advance reservation, and the girl at the front desk took a while to get me checked in. The room was fine, although there was a lot of noticeable dust on the AC unit, and the bathtub took a long time to drain. There are "no smoking" signs everywhere, but I'm pretty sure I smelled cigarettes on the outdoor landing. Didn't sleep well, but can't necessarily blame the hotel for that one. A few small convenience spots within walking distance and a McDonald's across the bridge, but if you want real food and shopping, drive to Willoughby or Mentor. Easy driving distance to the Arboretum, which was definitely the highlight of my stay.

My daughter and I stayed one night on a trip from DC to Ann Arbor. We visited the James Garfield Homestead after our checkout. It's only 10 minutes away and well worth a visit. I'm not sure what the people who've left a lower star rating expect from a budget motel. We appreciated that it was so affordable. Being so, our expectations weren't for luxury. Our room was clean, with attractive lighting and furnishings. Our beds were comfortable. The check in staffer was pleasant. The bathroom was clean. Yes, if being picky, one might call the room "dated," but all was in good repair. We didn't look for more than what we paid for! And it was quiet - no neighbor or road noise. The exterior was well-lit, and we felt safe. We had a good dinner at Olive Garden. It's close to all needed business establishments.

This one actually actually has a nice lobby. My room had vinyl flooring. I much prefer hotels, especially the cheaper ones, have this because it seems to be much cleaner. Also, I typically take antibacterial wipes with me and clean all the things I touch, as well as the flooring when possible, so this is a plus. The room was pretty nice overall as well. They seemed to have a brand new air conditioning unit in the room, I did check the filters and they were clean, another plus. Unfortunately, and this was kind of a big deal for myself, they were very limited on their television channels. I really only watch tv in the evening and I only watch Adult Swim, and they did not have this channel. I was pretty surprised because this was the first hotel I can remember staying at that didn't have it. Was kind of a bummer, but it is what it is, everything else was nice.

Rhonda at the front desk was absolutely horrible to deal with. We travel constantly and have never had such an unpleasant experience. From the moment we walked in she was rude and irritated. She could not find our booking so we called Expedia and had them resend the confirmation and speak to her through speaker phone. She lost her temper and was yelling at both us and the customer service rep on the phone. Just a completely nasty attitude and very bitter person.

All hotel phones were turned off. The first room was not clean. The surfaces were all very dirty and the was floor was gross. We went to use the phone in the room and found out that the rooms no longer had service. The room that they moved us to was clean and the bed very comfortable.Noteworthy details: Our stay was neither for business or vacation we came from from out of state to get medical treatment in Willoughby for my wife and this was the second time staying at this Hotel. We will be returning every few months and are planning on staying at the Redroof Inn just as long as they don't cut services back any further.
