Buyer Beware!!!!
* I went into this Dollar General and I grabbed an item that was priced at $3.50, that is the price I've been paying with no issue for this particular item, so once I get to the item, guess what??? The price was now $5.50 at the check out, yet the REAL PRICE said $3.50. The gentleman who was working tried to insult my intelligence by telling me that they forgot to change the price, but he would go ahead and give it to me for that $3.50 even the price said that but upon check out it said another price. LIES, AND MORE LIES. This is a scam they have been doing for years and years, scamming hard working people, all while collecting millions, sorry all while stealing millions by over charging paying customers who do not double check prices. Register is always down, can only do self check out with card. Has been this way for months! Extremely inconvenient and long wait times!

Guest in the store was upset about the lack of customer service because the person refused to scan stuff and do their job. Guest said they had just worked 18 hours and was upset about that fact and we overheard the cashier say boo hoo. That is so disrespectful and that lady needs to re-learn how to do her job.

It's 930pm and the door is locked you could see a register open and see the worker cleaning up like she was leaving. I go to these stores all the time. It was so inconvenient at the time so that the worker could be out early

Worst customer service experience I've ever had at a dollar general, and I've been to many. I came in with my 2 kids to pick up a bottle of contact solution, and my kids wanted a ring pop. I went to the checkout and waited for a good ten minutes watching 3 or 4 employees chat behind the counter. Finally I asked if there was someone who could ring me up and she said No, literally just said no. I said, "okay?" She said the only thing you can do is the self checkout but you can't use cash. I said it was all I had and she said "well I guess your out of luck". Wow just wow!

This is what your 38878 Mentor Ave store in willoughby is doing literally nobody ringing and not accepting cash sales (self check out says “card only”), this is ridiculous & the people working aren’t even available to help us. Very sad.

Friendly customer service but evenings they will forget customers are in the store. the employees will stock till u approach them to check you out or u yell.

Does this new employee, have to worry about being safe & secure also?? All the LAKE COUNTY OHIO stores have been ROBBED AT GUN POINT! Painesville location was robbed the other day. No security, except for cameras. FEMALE EMPLOYEES left by themselves for hours, WHEN TOLD THEY WOULD NEVER BE ALONE. The police are there a few times a week. Yet, corporate does nothing. I have a young family member working there! I've gone up there several times to sit in the parking lot for hours, cause she doesn't feel safe. Still, nothing is done. This will most likely get deleted. People should be aware of this dangerous & scary situations that they are unknowingly putting themselves in.
