I cannot recommend Commonwealth Lumber highly enough! We used them recently for a kitchen renovation and deck addition and it was such a wonderful experience! Dealing with a local company that actually knows who you are when you call or stop in is so rare these days and both Bill and Jan were so knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way! I am an extremely detail oriented person who waited 14 years to renovate a kitchen I HATED and Jan's attention to detail matched mine. You can't pick a better company to work with!

Worked with Commonwealth Lumber and Jan for my kitchen remodel. I can’t say enough wonderful things about her! She is great to work with and walked me through each step in designing my new kitchen. The showroom has a great selection of cabinets and countertops to choose from. I decided to go with white Wolf Cabinets and WilsonArt Quartz countertops in Enchanted Rock. Cabinets were in within 2-3 weeks!! Couldn’t believe how quick! Highly recommend Jan for all your design needs!

It was an absolute pleasure to have worked with Jan Nay during our kitchen remodel.Jan was very receptive to our vision and was able to provide her expertise as a kitchen designer. Great craftsmanship along with great quality of cabinets and there was no damage to any of the cabinets upon delivery, we were also able to order an additional cabinet that was delivered in a very timely manner without any color lot deviations. I would recommend Jan Nay along with commonwealth lumber if you are considering a remodeling project.Robert Gerry.

We went to Commonwealth Lumber because our nephew highly recommended them and especially recommended working with Jan. I felt like I already knew her once I met her. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was very helpful in designing our kitchen island and later our quartz countertops and granite sink. Her expertise in remodeling gave us many ideas we hadn't even thought of. We truly enjoyed working with her and would highly recommend Jan and all the other staff at Commonwealth Lumber. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Old school values, great pricing, problem solvers, and my go to for all things home renovation. A big box had missed about half the items I needed for my deck. Jeff came in to save the day for every step! Don't look anywhere else! Best in the business!

My experience with Commonwealth Lumber and Jan Ney, their kitchen designer, was nothing short of outstanding. It seemed as though I lived there while working with Jan in the kitchen design and in choosing cabinetry, hardware and countertops. We chose HomeCrest cabinetry which was the very best choice for us with regards to quality, selection and pricing. Tackling such a huge project, in my eyes, was daunting at first since my kitchen needed to be totally gutted. However, working with Commonwealth and Jan made the experience not only pleasant but the outcome a total blessing. I LOVE my kitchen! I'm forever grateful to Jan for her talent, patience, and knowledge. And I'm grateful to Commonweath for the huge selection of product offered. Thank you!

Absolute garbage. I went to Commonwealth because of the good reviews. I had an 8 foot poplar board cut into equal width strips to use in picture frames. I was told it was no problem. Wrong. First, each strip was cut with three jerky passes instead of one smooth one, leaving deep saw marks on each strip. Second, the strips are all different widths. Finally, the end of the board was warped, meaning the end of each strip is warped. I should have gone back to Lyndhust Lumber. They did the same thing for me with no problems. Maybe the yard man at Commonwealth was having a bad day, but I won't be back.

I don't know why you would even bother to go to Lowe's or Home Depot. Good quality lumber at competitive prices.

Almost forgot that they are located right in practically downtown Willoughby. I have a extensive supply of building remodeling and a complete lumberyard. Salesman was very helpful and locating a part for my gutter system. A good alternative to the big box stores.
