Workers were very rude and unwilling to explain prices. There was a large selection but it was very pricey for a thrift store.

Everything is so overpriced! I have never been to a thrift store with prices so high. Makes me think they care more about making money for themselves than for charity. So much better finds and service at the Goodwill down the street! When something is damaged they refuse to take less. Workers are so rude and lazy. They broadcast a closing message an hour before closing saying everyone better "get out" before 7:00PM. On a previous visit I left a very valuable wallet behind at the desk. I came back a minute later when I realized I didn't have it at my car and they said "we have no idea what you're talking about". When I asked if anyone had seen it or if someone could help me, they refused. I asked if there was any security cameras and they said the store doesn't have any. Really? Totally shady. I wholeheartedly believe my wallet was stolen by one of the associates. When I tried calling to follow up, the supposed manager said "We told you we'd call you if we find it so stop calling".

Great selection, but I am not paying $10 for a used shirt when I could pay just as much for a new one. The prices are ridiculous, and as much as I'd rather shop sustainably, I'd rather buy something new if it's the same price.

I have been a hardcore thrifter for the last 30 plus years and have spent plenty of money in Salvation Army stores all over the country. This one is the worst as far as customer service goes. I stopped in on Saturday and found a large cork board that was perfect for my home studio. After standing in the perpetual line from hell to shell out the 10 bucks, my friend and I hauled it out to my car but soon realized it wouldn't fit. I immediately went back in and explained the situation to them and was promptly and rudely told that they wouldn't refund my money and that I should just donate it back to them. I have no issues donating to charities, but Salvation Army is not my charity of choice. I ended up putting a "FREE" sign on it and leaving it in the parking lot for someone else who could use it. In my opinion, they need to rethink their policies and attitude. And I'll donate my stuff to someone else.

Don't!!! I made an appointment one month in advance for a furniture donation. Took a day off without pay to do this. I got a generous (not) 8 hour window for pick up. (I'm in a 3rd floor walk up condo). I heard the drivers complaining & saying "nope", "not gonna happen"! When they we're coming up the stairs. They were obviously pissed off and verbally rude! They told me they would not take it because of 3 flights of stairs without an elevator. Unbeknownst to me. Upon making the appointment, no one said a word about this! I had about five pieces of furniture that were very nice that needed a good home. The one driver actually had the nerve to tell me, (maybe you should call 1-800 got junk!!!) Seriously!?!? Isn't the salvation army supposed to be helping people, which I thought I was. after a couple hours of processing this. I called the main number to complain and the lady had the audacity to start raising her voice at me because they do not go above two floors without an elevator which was never told to me. These people are all rude and nasty, obviously making a paycheck and doing nothing for it! I personally, will never contact them again for anything. Do yourself a favor, if you have anything that someone might need, put it on the street! This organization is worthless! I pray for their own salvation! They're not even worth one star which is what I had to give to even be able to post this.

I am always looking for unique things to diy or even just decorate. This place always seems to have something. They have a ton of clothes, shoes, kitchen dishes, toys, baskets, furniture, books, and purses. They have coach bags in the case by the register. You can get a coach clutch for $12. There are a lot of name brand items that ive found. The case as you walk in usually has some higher priced items that are collectables. The store is clean and does not have that funcky smell that other thrift shops seem to have. They have sale days on colored ticket items. I want to say wednesday is half off on clothes. The donation is in the back of the building to drop off anything you want. This is a really good store because they always seem to get a ton of different things in and things rotate. Stop in if you havent already.

This store can be hit or miss. It's a newer building with a nice layout. The prices are not the most family friendly. I noticed some items were pretty expensive. The person who does the pricing on housewares must have a lot of time on their hands because they place pieces of tape (cut to size!) over the price tags. It take some warm water and soap to get the already sticky price tags off.

Shocked to see the bad reviews! Best Thrift Around (*for clothing*) 1. Clothing - out of all my thrifts I visit (Volunteers, Value World, Goodwill....) and out of all of their locations, THIS IS MY FAVORITE STORE! Haha call it shallow, but hey in Avon, you are going to get the "Avon" clothing donated. And guess what, I think those clothes are GREAT! I find under armour, nike, tons of JCpenny clothes every week. By far, this Avon location has the best options and nicest selection of clothing -in my opinion. 2. Pricing - As far as being more expensive, there is some truth to that. However, see #3 (half off day) because that is the only day I go. If you want really cheap check out Value World. 3. Half Off Day - GO ON WEDNESDAY! All but 1 color is half off. I mean the lines are crazy long, but if you have some time it's absolutely worth it. 4. Staff - The staff here run around like crazy. I have never had a rude cashier, in fact I had a very nice cashier who marked down a winter coat because it was summer when I bought it. Smile and compliment them, and hey maybe you will get an added discount yourself! *Also I saw a comment about the God music - I'm not a fan, but hey just tune it out or wear headphones, it's really not that bad.

The worst store EVER! Salvation Army has lost their minds. This store is full of really nice stuff only because it is so overpriced that no one is buying it. This organization will never see a donation or shopping from me at any of their stores. Also, this store is full of rude staff that do not care to greet you or help you. Again, the worst store ever!

RUDE! I could NOT believe this is Salvation Army! First, I'll start with a few positives. The area is nice and since the building is on a recently constructed road, the whole building and area from the outside is extremely clean and aesthetically pleasing. Not to mention several other shopping centers, retail stores and restaurants are all within a mile. GREAT area. Once you park and walk into the store it looks very clean. Clothes are organized in two parts. FIRST, by size. Then within each size they are organized into sections by colors. Basically, arranged small to large sizes and grouped within the sizes by color; orange, red, yellow, green, blue, etc. After all this organization though, I have to ask one BIG question?? WHY? WHY DOES THE SALVATION ARMY FEEL THE NEED TO STAPLE PRICE TAGS ON CLOTHES!! You risk damaging the clothes using staples and risk further damaging clothes by removing the staples. Nonetheless, I waded through the clothes because when I go thrift shopping, I'm looking for something in particular that I feel I need in my wardrobe. As I was looking one of the RUDEST workers comes up right behind me, does not say ANYTHING, and places a shirt on the rack about a foot away from me! I didn't hear anything until I heard the click of the metal hanger on the rack and I spun around to see what that sound was! I replied sarcastically, "Sorry, was I in the way?" She doesn't even look at me and says, "No, you're fine." Thanks for the warning. RUDE! I was looking for a black, thin fleece like jacket. I finally found one BUT there was no price tag. Well, a missing price tag has never been an issue for me in ANY thrift store....until today. I take the jacket to the front and I asked the clerk (after I nearly stood there for a minute and 3 ladies had their heads under the cash register working on one, just ONE of the two registers that were open at the front) and I asked, "What's the price of this jacket, I could not find the price tag?" The female cashier was very abrupt and said, "Oh, well, we don't price them here. If there isn't a price tag then we have to send it the back warehouse to be priced." She then took the jacket away from me. Once again, that was completely unnecessary and uncalled for towards a customer. I was so shocked at this LACK of customer appreciation that I didn't think to press her. I was with my roommate at the time and she "knocked" some sense back into me (what are BEST friends for?) after telling her the story and said, "You BETTER go back up there and get someone to price it!" After approaching one of the OTHER 3 ladies still working at the front, I was able to get her to deliver the jacket to the back warehouse and she came back with a price. Even though it wasn't the color of the day, I still wanted it at $5.99. That brings me to my next comparison. $5.99 is actually pretty high for some of the thrift shopping I've done where I've purchased similar jackets for $2-3 WITHOUT a discount. So, this Salvation Army has MUCH HIGHER prices than some other thrift stores like Goodwill and Thrift Nation. If I find something I like, it's not an issue paying that price, especially for a good cause. I'm just saying there are cheaper prices around for thrift shopping. What does separate this Salvation Army from others is there are unique selections of clothing in this store from such as "Vintage Clothing" and "Brand Name" sections which not every thrift store have. Overall, GREAT selection and browsing opportunities with prices above normal for thrift stores (but there are good deals with the color of the day) but with the lack of appreciation and consideration from the workers I will NOT be returning here! I hope no one has an experience like this in any type of thrift store working towards a good cause. By the way, they DO a

I come here weekly looking for good deals. Some of the prices are on a high side at times, but if you watch out there are sometimes some great deals here, just like any other thrift store. Workers are fairly nice and helpful, and do greet you most of the time. It is also fairly clean. So I don't have really any complaints. Four stars is that sometimes they really do ask too much for some items that just are not worth that much.

Large, clean store. Lots of stock; just wish clothing was sorted by size not color. Prices a bit on the high side.

So, I'm an avid thriftier. Being a student, I am on a pretty tight budget so every thrift store I see I HAVE to go in. And yes, I know it may sound a little sad, but not all thrift stores are created equally. Some are just too expensive for used items, some allow heavily worn or dirty items to the racks, and some are just little treasure chests full of great stuff. As for the Salvation Army, I give two stars because "Meh. I've experienced better." Firstly, most of their clothes are on the higher end of the prices normally seen at thrift stores. The ONLY time I go is on Wednesdays, where everything but one color is half off. Secondly, being a Christian organization they play the local radio station , The Fish. I can only take so many hours of horribly untalented and cheesy Christian rock. I mean, for Christ's sake (no pun intended), play some classic rock or even oldies. Also, there was the whole anti-gay statement that is tantamount to the values of Salvation Army, and bigotry annoys me.
