This location needs a redo or replacement. It is so busy and laid out so poorly, there is congestion everywhere you turn. Aisles are unusually narrow. When it is busy, the checkout register lines go way down into the aisles and it's impossible to shop in those aisles. The parking lot is a physical disaster, bumps potholes etc and after sundown it is generally not safe. Kroger was going to move across the street but post-Covid i guess that is a no-go. We need this fixed!!

I don't know how many times I have came to this pharmacy at 8:30 in the morning and their drive thru isn't open. Seriously?? Your not slammed at this time of day so why not have it open. What's the difference if someone is sitting at your window or standing at your counter. For a lot of people, especially elderly people, having to go all the way inside just to get their meds isn't an easy task smh

No I don't recommend this business due to every time you go in there's always drama theft or someone yelling at another person. Poor management

Used to be a decent store but had taken a nose dive in recent months. Went in tonight to the liquor store and paid cash. I was told that there was no change so he shortchanged me about forty cents. My problem is, you do that enough times and Krogers has made a nice little profit for the day. The clerk was very rude and I just paid and walked out. I called the customer service department and was told that there was not enough change in the store. I guess no one was available to go to the bank to get enough change. I'm done with this store. Shopping used to be a happy experience but this store turns it into a nightmare.

I would like to start by saying this negative customer experience had nothing to do with any COVID related precautions in place. My friend and I were checking out. I can't recall the cashier's name. I know it started with a C. This happened on July 26, 2020 at approximately 6:15PM. I was purchasing alcohol and the cashier wasn't old enough to sell. We tried making some friendly conversation during our wait. Our idle chatter was completely ignored. At this point- the cashier and the young lady bagging had not even acknowledged our presence. I also took this time to try and make sure my reward card was added to my transaction. The cashier decided this would be the time to jump on her phone and start texting rather than ensuring my reward number was added. Also during this time- the bagger was complaining to the cashier about having to work with Miss Cheryl more and how she was not happy about it. This prompted the cashier to also start complaining about her job. After all of this. I over paid and my rewards card was never added. I can't even imagine complaining about your job during a time when so many aren't able to find employment. My recommendation to both of these ladies would be to put in their two week notice. There are plenty of people who would be thankful to have the job. Kroger- You can do better.

This Kroger is two blocks right down the street from me, but I am getting tired of coming here and having to go from my car to the door. The last four times I have gone, I have had to deal with people in the parking lot looking for some form of a hand out. From what ever change I have to a woman actually hitting me up for $15 for a bus ticket. The funny thing is I talked to my neighbor later and she had been stopped by the same woman three days later. I guess that lady will never catch her bus. It's bad enough that the store is cramped and crowded, it has been since the Big Bear stores went out. There was hope for a larger store on the north side of road street, but it seems they keep postponing building it.

This is a special shout out to the employees here in Whitehall. This is not the closest location to my house so why would i come here?? Its the costumer service, the sales and the great people who shop here jus like im doin. I know a few employees who work there and the always do there job with a positive attitude with a smile on there face. Its like goin to a bar and the bartender is smilin while their makin your drink.....that goes a long way. Anyway to Paula, Shana, Ray, and James....keep up the OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I have to share this also. About 2 yrs ago I'm in the checkout line and its time to pay up, well i left my wallet in the car so i run out to get it. By the time i got back, all my groceries were paid for and bagged up. The very nice lady who did that was on her way out the door so i catch up to her and thank her from the bottom of my heart. She said she felt like doin somethin good for someone. That goes to show that there are still great people around and its a blessing to run into them.

This Kroger needs a lot of work. The staff is not attentive at all. I went Friday night at 8pm and the security gate by produce was closed, the store was packed and you had to enter all the way down through the uscan. That's a bunch of crap!! Being the beginning of the month is not when a grocery store should be locking doors. It's also a major safety hazard. Mind you. There were at least 8 employees standing around, including service desk people and not alleviating the backed up lines of guests wanting to check out. Poor management. The entire store needs replaced!

Store is clean and normally well stocked. The woman in the Kosher department is incredibly helpful. In fact, everyone I've encountered there has been quite friendly. Added bonus, there's a gorgeous guy who works in the Produce Dept.

Kudos to Amani in the liqour store at this location. This location is closest to my home so I frequently shop there. They have been out of what I wanted for two weeks. Today I asked Amani if they were going to get any of this item in any time soon. Amani took the time to look to see if the item I wanted came in on the truck and then went to the back, searched 3 pallets and brought me what I needed - all with a positive attitude and brilliant customer service. I wish all the employees there had his disposition. Thanks Amani!

This seems like an older Krogers. Limited selection, small store & very crowded. The staff is typically what you'd expect...Nothing to rave about. Good place to stop & pick up that something that you're needing. I usually don't go here as it's slammed full of people. This store is okay, but not a shopping destination.

this was the "nice" kroger in our neighborhood and boy the last time I went was the last. just over a month ago, the cashier was having a conversation with a co-worker as we showed up and loaded up the belt. The off-the-clock co-worker took her time to find her change as they were chitchatting and as she was leaving, another co-worker came over to get her attention. she started ringing us up and never said a word to us. As the order is complete, she told me the total and I handed her my kroger card and coupons. She made this annoyed *sigh* and started ringing them in. here is where it gets good the dummy wasn't paying any attention and forced us to suspend our order to have a bagger Price check something for a coupon and a pizza that rang up wrong. after 3 more people made it through line she got back to us after I had to explain the situation to someone getting mad (thinking i was cutting) the cashier acted like such an a$$ after I came back and in the end, the supervisor had to be called because she raised her voice at me. I told the Supervisor everything that happened and how out of the 4 working people around us NOT A SINGLE PERSON asked if they could help my wife or me. I am handicapped and felt completely disrespected by that vicious, old, mean cashier

Like most places that are ghetto, you just need to get here in the morning before all the dipshits wake up and clog the store. They have a good selection and a liquor store too. The staff is friendly And overall knowledgeable, but as the day wears on, you can tell they get sick of the ghetto bullshit. And they stop caring. I don't blame them. If it's after 5pm, you are better off driving the few extra miles to the nice Meijer or Kroger it giant eagle up the road. Also, if you want to get some liquor on a Friday or Saturday, go elsewhere, this place is so ghetto hey only let two people at a time in... No kidding.

I appreciate the friendly and polite manner of both the self checkout clerk and the staff member. The staff member had to do a price check and the clerk had to do a somewhat lengthy corrective process, but was patient and polite. She thanked me for being patient, but it was her that went through the trouble to help me! Thank you!

I was very blessed by the "above and beyond" Service that I received from the ladies in the deli and bakery. we were in a bind, and on a very busy day these ladies went way out of their way to help us fill a large order. And they did it with grace.
