There is a common theme if you look at the positive reviews and the negative reviews. This company excels in taking your investment and makes it an absolute nightmare to take anything out. We were 6 months getting our self directed IRA out of this company. Hours and hours spent waiting on the phone, getting shuffled from department to department, starting all over with each new phone call. It was beyond frustrating. Stay far, far away from these inept idiots.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Shaun Truett, an onboarding specialist at Equity Trust, and I cannot speak highly enough about the exceptional service he provided. Originally, I was paired with another agent who became unavailable for two days during a very critical point in time for escrow. Naturally, this caused some anxiety, but Shaun stepped in and turned the situation around completely.

As soon as I had my first phone call with Briana Patterson I knew we were in good hands. She was calm cool and collected. She assured us that Equity Trust Company was the place to be. She answered all of our questions, calmed our nerves, and corrected my mistakes ( and didn't make me feel stupid ). Equity Trust is a great company to deal with and they have all good people i'm sure. I am just glad we got Briana Patterson to help us take care of our transaction. I highly recommend Equity Trust Co.. LeeAnn Jimenez was very helpful and went the extra step to help this old person that doesn't have a lot of technical skills. Her cheerful demeanor made this experience one to remember. And everytime I messaged LeeAnn with a question she immediately responded, i was never left hanging. I definitely look forward to doing more business with her and them!

Leticia Dezelan was very helpful in assisting me with the conversion of several retirement accounts into a single specialized IRA. Some of the conversions were not straightforward. She was very helpful in assisting me with the various peculiarities of each company to allow this conversion to take place. She kept me informed of the progress of the conversions. She frequently checked with me to see if I needed additional assistance. I am very grateful for her attentiveness, and her persistence to the completion of the task.

The process of rolling over my 401K was very stressful. At one point I needed some assistance and I ended up being helped by LeeAnn over the phone. Not only did she give me information and direction, she gave me peace of mind. STAY FAR AWAY! Big fees. I had to educate customer service on 401k rollover distribution. Also, just to rollover my funds is a $250 account close fee. What? To rollover my own money? Thank God I only have a minuscule amount of my money there. Not to mention it took 32 minutes to get someone on the line. But when you choose new account someone answers right away. NEVER AGAIN
