Rife's Auto Body (and specifically Macy) was incredibly helpful assisting my parents with their destroyed Mercedes Sprinter. Unfortunately, the vehicle was beyond repair, but Macy went above and beyond throughout the process and even took some of her own personal time to research replacement options for my parents needs. I highly recommend giving Rife's Auto Body a chance should the need arise.

Great service and their repairs are top notch. They are very methodical about their process to make sure your car gets fixed properly to OEM spec. I believe they are the only Tesla authorized repair center in Columbus, don't hesitate to use them!

Just had my husband’s Honda Ridgeline repaired. First off they underpromised and OVER delivered on the timeline. Had it ready in 4 weeks instead of the 6-8 we were expecting.
What was most impressive is they clearly have a set of core processes that they use every time with every customer. From how they check you in to the check out process-we felt informed and in safe hands. The customer service team are friendly, service focused women who genuinely care that you leave happy. True story…when we picked up the car yesterday, one of the gals was skipping…SKIPPING! Who is that happy at work these days? That tells me that Rifes Autobody is a great place to work and they care about their team. As a small business owner I will always choose to do business with companies that share my values and a team first mentality is a big one for me!
Final brag…today I scratched my husbands newly repaired truck by driving down an overgrown alley. I called them in a panic and they are now buffing out the scratches and cheering me up with way worse stories…
We will be Rifes customers for life…although hoping we don’t need them often?

I used to like Rife's. They do quality work, they don’t cut corners, and their customer service had always been excellent. So when my Subaru was rear-ended in a minor fender bender earlier this year, I took it to them for repairs. Unfortunately, the experience was nowhere near what I had come to expect from them.
A couple weeks into the repair work they contacted me with concerns about the quality of a previous repair that could impact their ability to guarantee their own work. For context, this previous repair was some moderate body work that was done to the rear of my vehicle after a rear-end collision over 8 years ago. The vehicle at the time was brand new (< 5k miles) and I took it to a different body shop recommended to me by the dealer to have those repairs done. Those repairs appeared at the time to have been satisfactory and in the last 8 years, the car has driven fine with no issues.
Fast forward back to the work that Rife’s is doing, they have now uncovered more shoddy repairs that were done by the previous body shop (inadequate welds, rust forming on parts of the body, etc.). At this point Rife’s is telling me that they can no longer work on my vehicle. For liability reasons, they refused to continue any repairs and recommended that I contact the body shop that did the poor work 8 years ago.
I get it. Rife’s doesn’t want to work on my car because they don’t know the extent of the damage caused by the previous repairs. I totally understand that. So I contacted the previous body shop and not too surprisingly they wanted to have nothing to do with me. They don’t guarantee their work from 8 years ago and they were reluctant to even entertain the idea of repairing my car, even if I were to pay out of pocket.
So I go back to Rife’s and fill them in. At this point they are telling me that my best option is to just replace the car! Either that or try and call around town to find a body shop that is willing to work on it. Really!? It’s a Subaru with 60k miles on it. At this point, I’m a bit frustrated and I just want to get my car back while I contemplate my options. They tell me that the car is not drivable because they have not reassembled it and that I will need to have it towed. I asked them if they could restore it to the condition it was in when I brought it in, and they refused to do this. I offered to pay for the labor and they said it wasn’t a matter of cost, but rather liability. Keep in mind, when I brought my car to them, it had some minor damage to the rear bumper and liftgate, but it was completely drivable. Heck, I even contemplated not having it repaired at all since the damage appeared to be cosmetic.
At this point, I’ve given up fighting with them and decided to just have the car towed home. It was a mess (see pics). Basically, they put the sunroof back on (not sure why they had to take it off anyway?) to keep water from getting in, and that was it. The interior paneling had all been ripped off and stuffed in pieces in the back seat along with other parts. Cabling disconnected/exposed. After calling a couple body shops, both of which refused to work on my car, I made the decision to donate it and get a new one.
As soon as Rife’s made the decision to stop work on my car, they hung me out to dry. They wanted to have nothing to do with me and just wanted me to come get my 4,000 lb. paperweight. All I was asking was for them to return my vehicle to me in a condition that at least closely resembles that of when I brought it in. But they refused to do this.
Having to replace an 8 year-old Outback with 60k miles because of a fender bender and a body shop that cares more about covering their own hind then they do about helping out their customers is not a good experience. I really do believe that Rife’s does good quality work, but the customer experience that I received was just downright appalling. I realize my situation was a bit unique and complicated, but I really hope that if Rife’s finds themselves in a similar situation with ano

I have used Rife for many years and received great service. However, my last 2 visits have been challenging to very challenging. Currently, we took our vehicle in for a mirror and passenger side window replacement. 40 days later, our car now needs additional work just to make it driveable. Cost for a mirror and window is 8k and just to make it drivable again, $2500. How do you take a perfectly operating vehicle in for a mirror and window and they till you that you owe 2500+ to be able to drive it off the lot? Worst possible experience from a past great company is disappointing. My understanding is that they recently sold and under new leadership. This is a long standing customer very disappointed in my experience of bait and switch on pricing and damaging my vehicle to the point that I have to tow it from your shop to another for for additional repairs. Was there for a mirror and window and 40+ days later here I am. I would avoid and if not, I hope your experience is better.

Rife’s auto body is outstanding. They assist you with dealing with the insurance company as well. Macy was a pleasure to work with . They also made sure my daughter’s car was safe and perfectly fixed before she got back into it.

I have been a customer of Rife's since the late 1990s, having lived in and grown up in Grandview, it was a no-brainer for me then. Having moved out, there was only one solution when my Jeep was hit by a truck driver - I was going to go back to Rife's. While there, I was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable estimator, Macy Martin. She followed-up with me at each step of my vehicle's repair process, handled all the insurance related issues, and even opened up on a Saturday when my vehicle was ready to be picked up. Macy was truly a rockstar along with the expert technicians in getting my vehicle back to OEM specifications. Don't hesitate to have them do a write-up for your vehicle's repair needs, you will be amazed at how easy and transparent the process will be!

Where do I begin? Macy Martin... She was the absolute BEST person I could have had the pleasure of working with at Rife's Autobody. Being in an accident and being without your car is difficult enough, but Macy made it bearable and wonderful. She stayed in contact with me every step of the way through emails. texts and phone calls. I was always part of the process and felt at ease. I was made to feel as if I were her priority and her only customer. She advocated for me with the insurance company ensuring that the expenses were covered and, true to Rife's way, put OEM parts back on my Infiniti. It came back looking like new. If you have the pleasure and opportunity to use Rife's Autobody shop, ask for Macy Martin. She is professional, knowledgeable, attentive and will leave you and your vehicle 100% satisfied!

Huge thanks to Rife's Auto Body Grandview for getting my wife’s jeep ready to be turned in. Our lease is ending on our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and my wife had a few minor dents, dings and some paint chips. Rife’s did an amazing job and made it look brand new. Both inside and outside! Highly recommended Rife’s!

Excellent work recently on my Tesla Model 3. The car was hit on the charge port panel so it was a skilled fix to make her perfect again. Rife’s did a great job with communication on the progress, connecting with the other person’s insurance and expertly doing the body and paint work. The car looked better than new when I got her back. Thank you!

Great Service and I didn't even get body work done. On July 2 a hit and run driver going at high speed, smashed into the rear of my VW Tiguan. While I was OK, the car was not. My dealer recommended that it be towed to Rife's in Grandview. There I was met with extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. They helped me fill out the forms they needed to conduct an evaluation and they even contacted Enterprise Rental Car so I could be picked up to get a car to drive. When the estimator (Macy?) took an initial look at the car she indicated that it might actually need to be "totaled". That is while I was OK, the car had absorbed significant damage. So it was likely that they would not be doing any work on the car. However this did not affect the way I was treated. To me this is what customer "service" is all about. If I ever do need body work, this is definitely where I will go. Thank you so much for your service!!!

In a parking lot, someone's car door flew open in the wind and hit our car door, and left a major dent and paint scratch -- they thankfully left their insurance information. I brought the car to Rife's because our car dealership recommended them.
Rife's was quick with an estimate and quick to schedule in for the repair. They negotiated with the insurance company (Progressive). They warned me there might ultimately be a discrepancy between what the insurance company would pay and what they were charging -- in my case, they were able to waive the discrepancy at the end.
I worked with Macy and Carly. They kept me up to date with the status of the car and the negotiation with the insurance company.
The work was very good, and the car in fact came back to us in better shape than before the accident -- they ultimately repainted a large section in order to blend the paint, and as a result a few tiny scratches and dents unrelated to the accident were repainted. I cannot tell where the repainted section stops and the original paint begins.
It does take a long time. It took just over a month -- which they warned me would likely happen, but I didn't really believe. But in addition to the direct repair and repainting work, they spend time negotiating with insurance, and they make sure that all the systems in the car are working appropriately (e.g., the safety sensors) so I think it is in part a function of how sophisticated modern cars are.
I would bring my car to them again.

The repairs were done meticulously to OEM standards, the techs took great pains to keep repairs below insurance budget, and Macy very communicative and patient with my specific needs. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs collision repairs.
