I asked for a quick repair for my minivan, they did it, with high quality and fare price.

Tim & staff now service 4 cars for me, 3 Honda’s and Ford. Got me in on short notice this week for some maintenance on son’s car before he goes back to college. Much appreciated.

I am truly disheartened to provide this low of a review! Tim has done good work for both my teen daughter and I in the past, but today my son and I were treated so poorly that future customers must be warned to enter into a relationship with Tim with serious caution! He is easily provoked, emotionally unstable, and extremely unprofessional.
I referred my 20 year old son to him with confidence it would go well. I was wrong! While my son’s car was at the shop for two new tires, Tim said an unrelated part of the car spontaneously broke. Instead of communicating that to my son with an estimate of the cost for repair, he went ahead and made the repair and charged him for it! When my son expressed disappointment at the significant increase in cost for a repair that he was unaware of and not notified of, Tim immediately became defensive and actually called ME on the phone! During our phone conversation he asked me what the problem was, and I believed he wanted to know so he could make it right. Wrong! I calmly began to explain that my son would have preferred that he was called and given the option of making the repair (it’s an old car, not worth large repair costs, and my son is capable of and enjoys making his own repairs) or at the very least given an estimate of the cost. Tim interrupted and spoke over me, called my son a jerk, and said that he needed “taught a lesson”. I was stunned at the rudeness of his comments, but he wasn’t done! He told me my son and I are no longer welcome back as customers and then he hung up on me. It felt very blown out of proportion. I had barely said anything, and I never raised my voice.
The story gets crazy now as back at the shop Tim told my son he was now trespassing, and then took the car back into the shop stating that he would remove the part to teach my “jerk” son a “lesson” My son multiple times said that he would pay in full if Tim would leave the car as is. Tim demanded cash payment and at the point had the car on the lift while threatening to remove the part. My son agreed to go to the bank and get cash, which he did, and returned to Tim still ranting as the garage staff awkwardly stared at the crazy scene. When my son paid him the cash he had demanded, Tim had lowered the cost to apparently make up for the lack of communication about the unexpected repair. I’m glad that the cost was adjusted (something neither one of us had said he had to do) but the emotional explosion, threatening behavior, and lack of any remorse significantly outweighs any good that came from this experience. I trusted Tim, but I would not recommend him to anyone for fear they would receive this version of Tim. Find another garage.

I brought my car here to get 2 new tires as well as a tire rotation. They replaced the 2 tires but only rotated one side. So on the front I have one old and one new tire, and on the rear I have one old and one new tire.
I would take my car back to fix this simple mistake. However he banned me and my whole family from returning to his shop. I questioned him and he exploded. I would not recommend this shop, especially if you might question Tim.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Tim will happily look you in the eyes and then scam you after you leave, by performing extra work that you did not agree to. He will then make you pay for said work, even if you explicitly told them not to do it. They just seem to decide for themselves what work you need done, then do it without running it by you first! Not to mention the haphazard work you will leave with. Then when you point his shady business practices out, he will harass, yell and swear at you. What a pathetic way to run a business. Tim does not have your best interests in mind, he only sees money. So, I suggest spending your money somewhere else that will do the work better for less, and won’t screw you over with a smile on their face.

On 4/18 I had two tires shipped through Tire Rack to Hometown Automotive as I have done a few times over the last couple of years. For this appointment, I removed the front wheels from my car and took them to Tim. He knew a head of time that this is what I'd be doing and told me to bring them in, so I dropped them off. On 4/19, the tires were completed and the receipt showed I was charged for mounting and balancing. I took them home and began to clean/ wax them before reinstalling. A this point I noticed that the weights on the inside of the rim looked original. I looked over both rims and there is no evidence of any adhesive residue, scraping, polishing, marred surface or faded areas other than the taped off bare aluminum factory area where Ford has laser etched the factory rim part number/ serial number information - Pics enclosed. Every wheel has this, even the back wheels that are still on the car that did not go to Hometown.I decide not to install yet and have Tim check them out on Monday 4/22.
It's Monday and I call Tim at 7:30am and explain this scenario. He agrees to have me run them over for a look. I arrive and Tim follows me to my truck. I found it odd that as we walk to my truck, even before he'd seen these wheels, he states to me that "I stand behind my guys 100%". Ok, well i pull the wheels out and point out my thoughts that perhaps they weren't balanced due to what I've already stated about lack of new weights / old weights evidence. Tim states, "We have the same weights and my son performed the work so I stand behind him!". I asked if he thought it odd that there's literally no evidence of previous weights? He points to the expertly taped, bare aluminum area where Ford prints the factory part number info and says, "they were right there". I replied that this area is not where they were, being factory number info.
At this point Tim just up and begins to walk back to his office - he's done. Three times I asked where he was going and on the third time YELLS at me that I am calling them liars. As I tried to explain that I was not stating that, he just walked in - saying nothing. A few seconds go by and I walk in behind him after being shocked at his behavior. He was not in the office but had beelined to the shop. I opened the door and asked him why his customer service is so poor for merely asking some questions and trying to determine if they had been balanced as I'd paid for. This would have been a great time for Tim to say, "you know what we might have missed it - bring them around and we'll double check them"....NOPE, Tim immediately screams at me to leave his shop. I point out that his reviews are showing similar patterns of this terrible behavior. He broke from the belligerent behavior to kindly make me aware that were were on camera so that was cool, I guess. But then proceeded to scream at me to get the F**K out of his shop and that he's tired of my "special requests" (????). Not sure what is special about this? I told him that if I put them on the front and experienced any vibration, I'd be back. Tim responded with "So sue me". I told him his customer service skills were the worst I'd seen. I got one final "F**K YOU" as he apparently locked the front door.
In the afternoon I took the tires to Mr. Tire on Pulsar Place near Polaris Parkway. I briefly explained my concerns after the tires were mounted. The manager walked the tires back to their balance machine completely within my view and would you believe it, they were approx 1.5oz out of balance. 1 wheel needed 2 sets of weights (inner and outer area of the rim). Get this, this manager refused to even charge me! It took him less than 10 mins to perform this. Tim did not see this as an option what-so-ever.
I can no longer recommend Tim as an option. As I, and others, in these reviews have shown - you aren't able to trust Tim and if you so much

Long story short, this shop is dishonest and will revert to underhanded tactics to force you to pay for unauthorized work.
After taking our minivan in for a diagnostic ($145) and being sent a quote for nearly $3,000, I declined the quoted service and said I’d be in the next morning to pick it up.
However, the next day they began to perform the unauthorized work on the van, and when I confronted them about it, Tim (owner) began berating me (not an exaggeration). When I offered to show him the email where I denied the quoted service, he said he didn’t care about an email and that he wasn’t giving me my keys back until I paid for his time.
I called the police, and the officer was very courteous and helpful, but legally they can’t do anything about it because it’s a civil case. The owner was prepared for that, knowing we wouldn’t want to take it to court due to legal fees.
Tim (owner) said the only way he was releasing my keys was if I paid the bill in full. So, I paid nearly $400 to get my keys back... despite having a clear email chain declining the service the day before they began work on it.
And to be clear, when I received the vehicle back, no work had been done to it. I was simply forced to pay for their time taking the engine apart and putting it back together… all of which was done without authorization.
Read BBB complaints, Facebook reviews, other Google reviews, call the city and request the public records... in each you'll see that there's an established pattern of the owner charging customers for work that was not quoted or approved (a violation of "Ohio Administrative Code, Rule 109:4-3-13").
When questioned about it, he claims that the customer is the problem.
I'd recommend finding somewhere else.

Great service! Although the problem wasn't solved ( far from their fault), I highly appreciate the excellent price and replacement of parts on my vehicle for free. It's definitely in my top three auto shops.
