I have worked with Jon, the owner, over the past 2 years for several complex clocks. His knowledge of clocks is amazing. He is always professional and personable. He is punctual and detail-oriented. He does a wonderful job, and his prices are reasonable. I rarely write reviews, but I believe Jon deserves a great one!

***an update to the last update.... I've taken care of this clock NO differently than in the previous 45 years that I've had it. At this point, I can't even keep it running! The time is off, and the chime sounds horrible. So sad!

My wife dropped off our steeple clock to the Grandfather Clock Company in Westerville Ohio due to the clock only chiming 2 times at 3 o’clock. They contacted us for pick up advising the clock was repaired. Upon arriving home after pick up we find the chime is very distorted, like there is a rattle or some other issue. However, there are also new issues. When the clock chimes it does so at a rapid rate and also now chimes at 3 minutes past the hour and not on the hour. My wife called and the technician asked to hear the rapid chime and they admitted the governor in the clock would need adjustments. After giving this company $200 and receiving the clock back with additional issues we decided to post a review of our experience. Within minutes of the review post the owner of the Grandfather Clock Company called my wife and preceded to berate and yell at her about the post. When she tried to discuss her clock concerns he talked over her and interrupted her. Additionally, he told her that we need to remove our post OR pay to have the clock “fixed” again. He also states that we probably “stuck our finger in there and caused the other issues after picking it up”. Why would we pay $200 to have a clock repaired only to bring it home and intentionally damage it?? That does not even make sense. Please read other reviews before trusting this company to work on, maintenance or repair your cherished clocks. Our steeple clock has been in our family for many decades. We love it and care for it greatly.Updated information based on the owners response to our review. Please see attached for paperwork proving that the Grandfather Clock Company collected payment for repairs to our steeple clock. I find it interesting that the owner claims they did not complete repairs to our clock in their response. If they did not complete repairs to our clock I am not sure what they collected payment for. Seems as if we have debunked the owners claims.

I took my steeple clock to this business because it only chimed twice when the hands were on 3:00. They called to say the “repair” was finished and I could pick it up. I showed up during business hours and they had closed early. I picked the clock up today and just put the pendulum in. The clock is a mess!! It doesn’t chime on the hour or the 1/2 hour. It chimes 3 minutes past!And it chimes ridiculously fast. I called and talked to Bernie. He assured me that since the clock had been serviced and oiled that it was working properly. Ummm, no Bernie, it has never chimed that fast in the 45 years I’ve had it!! It sounds like it’s on speed dial! He THEN said the governor must be loose. So, 1st it was my lack of maintenance, then he admits it was something he could “fix”. He said just bring it back in and I’ll fix it. That’s what I thought was supposed to happen on the 1st place! Read on for several negative review on this company. I’m also sure the company will reply and “debunk” my statements. When something this disturbing happens with my property I feel it is the right thing to do to share my misfortune.

My 1st experience with Grandfather Clock Co. A very very nice store. Beautiful clocks for sale. John is quite knowledgeable in the clock business. They do repairs there as well.

Set up house call to fix and service my grandfather clock, easy setup for appt. Looking forward to getting it back up and running! I can't give 5 stars until they've done the job, but getting on their schedule was painless!

Had to repair our clock. They told us the time frame. In our case three months. Called us Nov 1st. It was ready. Did what they promised in the time they required. Would recommend.
