It was my first time to go to this dog salon and I am glad I did. Ashley did an amazing job on Boomer. His haircut was great! I didn't have to make any corrections when he got home. Well worth the money. Even my husband can't keep on commenting how good he looks. I am very happy and definitely will book with Ashley again!

I must admit they did this in about three hours and I had been in the hospital during the day and the day after she was there when I got home I was a bit stunned. it was the worst cut my golden doodle ever had. so I then researched the background of this place and was absolutely shocked at some of the comments, especially the poor lady and her dog, that they cut the pad off its paw and virtually ignored responsibility for what the woman had to go through in the pain and several weeks of nursing the dog back to Health? That was so wrong. I just wish I had seen it before I took my dog there. Yes, they have a great location and a snazzy storefront and website, but all I can do is say to people be careful

My 13 pound dog was being groomed by Becca at the Westerville location on May 15th, 2024. I get a call that Becca cut his paw during the groom, so they bandaged him up and recommended bringing him to the vet. When I pick him up, I asked for a discount on the groom given the injury and they said no but will pay for vet bills. We get to the vet the same night, and they say the cut is deep and they anticipate stitches. My dog had to undergo surgery where the vet said the paw pad almost fully lacerated through, so they made the decision to remove the entire paw pad. Now, my dog has a bandage that cannot get wet that needs to be changed every 5 days for at least 3 weeks, and is on three different medications for pain and infection. Designer Paws is paying for all of this through their insurance (which I can confirm because their insurance contacted me). I received a phone call on May 16th from the Designer Paws CEO, Misty. She explained that my dog was well-behaved, and the injury happened because Becca was cutting too fast. I once again asked if I can receive refund for the groom given the severe injury, but Misty declined, saying the cost goes towards "funding the vet bills". When I responded that my money shouldn't be going towards the vet bills, she backtracked and said, "it's to pay the groomer." On May 17th, I drafted a demand letter highlighting the specific hardships this experience has caused my family. In the letter, I wrote that I want full reimbursement for the cost of the groom given this service was negligently completed and resulted in permanent injury. The letter also listed actions I would take (writing reviews, filing complaints, etc) if I am not compensated by May 27th. The letter was reviewed by multiple parties to ensure no rules were broken. Later on May 17th, the police called me and said that Designer Paws management feels threatened by me and my letter, and I cannot contact them again. I asked the police officer (who had read my letter) if anything in my letter was illegal or harassment, and they told me everything in the letter was legal, falls under 1st amendment rights, and management "just feels threatened." Further, the police officer explained that Designer Paws informed them that if I want my money back I will need to go through the legal system. So while Designer Paws claims to have paid my vet bills and cites that as the reason they won't refund me, their insurance is actually paying the vet bill. Meanwhile my dog is still in a cone and bandage weeks later. Please consider that if you bring your pets here, the groom may be very well done but if there are any accidents you will be treated poorly. Reviewing other reviews it looks like my dog is not the first to get hurt here.

Winston is always excited to go into the salon and is a happy camper to see me when he's done. He shows no trepidation or depression. He looks wonderful. The staff listen to what I ask for, and the communication is always good when he's about ready to be picked up. Winston gets hand-stripped, a talent that's hard to find. Thanks so much, Designer Paws!!!

Great job by Becca today! Sebastian suffers from occasional seizures and we always feel fine leaving him in capitable hands. He never seems stressed or upset. So happy we found a safe environment for his grooming.

I have been loyal to this groomer for 12 years and recently there has been an unfortunate shift in the way their staff has treated me and my husband. The last time I dropped my dog off to her appointment my pickup time was extended by an extra hour without any communication to me. This would have been fine had the manger been understanding and kind when I had arrived to pick my dog up. Instead she cut me off several times when I attempted to ask questions and was very dismissive. This upset me because she wasn’t listening to what I was trying to say to her and took me off guard because she was reacting harshly when I was speaking very calmly to her. My husband went in shortly after just to get an understanding as to why our pick up time was later than what we were told and she acted the same way towards him. A few hours later when we had arrived home with our pup. We got a text that we had been removed from booking with her company indefinitely. This was very unexpected and left us stranded without a groomer in the middle of a holiday season when it is extremely difficult to find an opening anywhere. I think this is important for everyone to consider before booking their dog at this groomer. It is a shame they have taken such a turn for the worst because they have always done a great job cutting my dog, however the attitude and disregard of the customers from the staff has unfortunately forced me to find a different groomer.

Jamie is the best! We have a 7 month old soft coated Wheaton terrier named Muppet. He is like a toddler in a fur suit, an absolute clown. I don’t know how she does it, but every time we pick him up he looks like he just stepped out of the show ring. And the best part is that he loves to go to the salon, he kisses her every time before she takes him off the table. Thank you Jamie! xoxo

I would suggest evaluating the company's approach in addressing customer concerns, particularly when dealing with dissatisfied individuals. There appears to be a prevailing tendency to dismiss customer feedback, creating an environment where the customer is consistently deemed at fault. Furthermore, it seems that the company lacks a systematic process of reviewing client records before each grooming session, resulting in potential oversights. Additionally, it is worth noting that there are instances of undisclosed fees that customers may encounter— it’s not uncommon to pay more than $200 for service.Over the years, I've come to accept that this company's customer service leaves much to be desired. But, I stuck around because their grooming used to be top-notch. Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worse. The quality of their service has become lackluster and just not up to par anymore. It's a shame, but it's clear that it's time to find a new groomer who can deliver both great grooming and excellent customer service. Where did the former owner and staff go?
