Big Lots does not delivered on this “same day delivery”. We went to a location in Columbia SC to make a purchase they did not have what we wanted so they called the Sumter SC who showed the item available in inventory. The Sumter location didn’t t have it although their system showed it in inventory. So the Columbia store found it at the Florence location. We order it online and pay for SAME DAY DELIVERY. The system says to expect delivery between 9am-9pm Sunday… Sunday at 4 pm we call the Florence SC location to get a simple update… they don’t have it in inventory. I can’t make this up. The associate the. Give us the number to their IT Support department.. yes IT Support. We call customer service and they tell us we ordered it from Sumter….who we know as of Friday they do not have it in inventory. We ask for a refund… the rep says no…after bringing her back from her delusions she is now calling the Sumter store and guess what as we told her they do t have it. The. She said they are waiting on it to be delivered….CANCEL.This is the absolute worst experience ever. A company that cannot stand on their on promise to deliver. Big lots… stop with the over promising and get your on hand accuracy together at these locations because you are not taking care of your customers

Went to look at furniture. The lady t&at was assisting us, you could tell had an attitude from the start, like we were bothering her. My husband and I was asking questions and she accused my husband of getting loyd and called another associate saying she wasn't going to deal with us. She was the one getting rude and loud. We asked for a manager and she said she was the manager. I politely asked twice for her name and she completely ignored me. When the other associate came over he advised today was her last day and that she didn't want to deal with anyone, that her name was Aubrey and she was the furniture manager. He apologized right and left for her,, but yet noone did anything with her. I am sorry, if she is running off customers because she doesn't want to be there, send her home. This was at the Marion Indiana store. We will not be back wihich is unfortunate as we have been loyal customers for years.

Big Lots in Franklin Square in Spartanburg SC I would never shop at due to what happened to my elderly mother yesterday. She purchased or should I say attempted to purchase 2 queen size mattresses and a bed frame totaling $924. First I asked manager to help her he goes and gets a man who is stocking cleaning products to help her. This man has to go back to the manager to help.The purchase it rang up she inserts her debit card and display on register said approved however the amount displayed on screen was for $500.00 even. I asked him with the manager who is standing right beside the man ringing us up the whole time whose name is Steve is that for everything because that was not the correct amount. After I asked this question they both looked at each other weird. So they said they was going to cancel first charge and enter correct amount of $924.00 first how does this happen items supposed to have been scanned and only $500 taken out of my mother's account she asked for a receipt several times showing the $500.00 was credited back to her account and manager and employee refused now they ring up correct total she runs her card and it said declined! She has enough money to buy everything in the store this made no sense and again she asked for receipt showing it was declined Never would they give her a receipt the manager Steve was rude and sarcastic to her the entire time. We go to the front register and she told them she would write a check and insisted she leave check blank she said no and wrote a check and it was declined as well again this Steve manager was up there running her check she asked for receipt of purchase declined and Steve manager still would not give her a receipt and insisted no money was taken from her account. First when you go to a store either the total amount is taken from your account not part of it and an even $500.00 red flags flieing all over this transaction this was a scam if I ever saw one. My mother and myself went straight back to her house called bank and Yes $500.00 was taken from her account and not credited back to her. We go back to store and confront the manager Steve and all he would say was I be credited back to her account we and to raise our voice and insist on a receipt for this transaction which Steve manager first said he couldn't do after telling him we was calling police he pulled up the transaction on the register printed out and it showed the $500.00 was suspended. After he did alot of typing. Funny thing time stamp on receipt for transaction being suspended was the same time we was standing there. Please never shop there and make a scene if you have to buy Always get a receipt I feel confident this was a scam and attempt to steal $500.00 from my mother. You don't go buy groceries and display amount is manual entered for a different amount than purchase. Thank goodness she has fraud alert on her account because her card detected it and that's why her account froze to stop the activity happing right in front of us they thought they got the $500.00 and who knows how much more they was going to attempt to take especially asking for a blank check. I know some stores do that but mom is old school and shestill fills a check in thank goodness. Beware of theives they come at you in all shapes including the Manager.

If you like shopping at big lots, avoid Morse rd where Sean Cameron is the manager. I had made a small purchase which included gum and candy. When I left the store I could not find those items in the bag. I returned to the store seeking assistance and the manager indicated he would check the camera to confirm the items were in the bag when I left. He confirmed the items were in the bag when I left the store. However, I could not locate the items in my car having believed they had fallen out. Rather than assist in finding the missing items, Sean Cameron,the manager, took a defensive stance and insinuated that I, the customer, was attempting to defraud the location and steal said items. I was immediately insulted by this and spared no mercy in letting Sean Cameron know of my disapproval of his accusation. He proceeded to tell me I was “tripping” and the items were probably in my car or in my trunk again leaning toward accusing me of being a thief and trying to get something for nothing. He proceeded to the parking lot after many words were exchanged and found the items still in the cart all while insulting me. He then yelled, “oh look at this! Look at this” after having discovered the items in the cart and proceeded to toss said items through the window of my vehicle along with yelling “grow up!” This whole issue could have been avoided had Sean Cameron, the manager at the Morse Rd Big Lots, taken a stance of helpfulness rather than assuming I was a thief trying to get him to replace the items without paying for them. Had he said something along the lines of “Oh! Sorry you can’t find them! I’ll help you look for them” we both could have laughed off the absentminded mistake and parted ways peacefully. It is unfortunate he decided to insult me instead which brought about very angry words from me toward him. Over the years I have spent my fair share of money with the Big Lots company. It is sad to say, today is the last day I will. I will be sure to warn my friends and family to stay away from the Morse Rd location where Sean Cameron is the manager.

That’s great that corporate does all the ordering for the stores but when you have a big sale order enough to accommodate more then one day of the sale. ie: 12 pack of coke products 3/12.00 4 stores in my area out. This is why I don’t shop Big Lots much anymore.

I purchased laundry detergent with 106 loads but when i got home and sat it next to the old container that's also 106 loads, the new container is much smaller than the old one. How is this possible? Then i checked the oz and guess what? The ounces are different. How is it possible for both containers be 106 loads with different ounces? I'm going to exchange for the bigger container or get my money back. Also the smaller was a $1.00 more. Lol

The Big Lots! interview process and standard operating procedure is clearly and utterly flawed. I had a great conversation with a District Manager for a position in need of someone with my skills and qualifications. The District Manager tells me he wants me as an asset to his store, will do whatever he can to have me on his team, and will fight with HR to get my salary to what he knows my value is. He states that he is going to get with HR immediately and I should be hearing from them with an offer. 2 days later I follow up with him and he states he spoke with HR and I should be hearing from them soon with my job offer. The next business day I receive an email for not being selected for the position. I called and left a voicemail simply asking if that was sent in error due to my conversations with the DM. Later that day I’m told that the DM said he selected someone else and is sorry for the inconvenience. Is it standard operating procedure for a member of leadership to promise a position to someone only to not offer? I turned down another position because of the DM’s promise made but unkept. It’s a very unfortunate position for me and if the DM was sincerely sorry he could have reached out as I text him and we spoke to each other on our cell phones both times. It’s unprofessional to make the statements he made and leave me out to dry. This is not a company of integrity, honesty, or humility; lesson learned.

We stopped in to the Las Vegas Summerlin location on Lake Mead to purchase a king mattress and a queen mattress. The gentleman in the furniture section who helped us was great. He even coordinated for us to pick up a queen mattress they were out of stock in at another location. We picked up the mattress. Everything was going well until 5 days later when the queen mattress was sunken in and lumpy.I contacted the store and spoke with the assistant manager. She was very rude and stated all mattress sink in and it is normal. I explained that the depth of the mattress was sunken in was unacceptable and not normal. I also shared that I have photos. She was not understanding nor empathetic. She explained we could only exchange the mattress, we weren't allowed to return it. I had to pay $90 for the drivers to replace the mattress. After they delivered the second queen mattress this one has sunken in as well in less than 24 hrs from the delivery. I would not ever shop here again after the experience I received from the assistant store manager she was very rude and demeaning. Not customer focused or oriented.The only reason I am giving 1 star was for our initial experience with the gentleman in the furniture section, other than that it would be 0 stars for the quality of their product and my experience with the assistant manager.

I was shopping in your Stockbridge, GA store today and in the market to purchase patio furniture. A few boxed sets were on the floor, but these were not displayed. The cashier directed me to a woman named Zula. She said she was in the middle of something and get back to me. I waited more than 30 minutes. I asked the cashier for her name and she said Zula. She did not know her last name. This would have been a $599.99 ( price on box ) if the set was comparable to others displayed. Zula didn’t even address what I was shopping for. Customer service was a not available! Ms. Evans.

Wow what a horrible company. Not only was my husband attack and beaten in one of your stores( Bluffton SC). Now a wrongful termination. You will definitely be hearing from a lawyer. It is not ok to let an employee be beaten and abused psychology on the sales floor. Now you fire him for something he did not do. What a joke y'all are.

Big lots Logan Utah store. Went to purchase an item in the store and they would not sell it they said they had promised a lady first dibs when it went on sale, item did not have a sold sign nor was it paid for, the associate said the lady would call every day to see if it had gone down in price, very shady business practice, this item had been on hold for over 2 weeks.

No shopping carts in Kingman store? Seriously how does one shop if handicap? Only able bodied people are allowed at Big lots! Screw all others. Bet sales are going down. Only buy what you able to carry? ONE item at a time maybe? Let's be ridiculous like shopping with NO CART?

**NO TO ONLINE ORDERS!!**. Per my experience, if you are first in line with an online order, you must wait in line until all customers have gone through the line before they will go get your order for you. They even called up another cashier to help get customers out of the store before they went to get my order. I actually had to go get a ***3RD*** cashier to go get my order. I probably waited a half an hour …. And i was #1 in LINE!! They also made me sign for the order so I would then be set to stay in the store since they make it so you have picked it up by signing for it. Don’t sign until they deliver it!!

Purchased an item for my father inlaws birthday online (delivery in 3-6 weeks). After almost 3 months their company they use for delivery systems changed delivery almost a dozen times. Then mysteriously item was broken day before delivery. Called cooperate and their resolution was a refund.... After countless hours on the phone between 2 companies and missing my inlaws birthday by over a month..... Don't buy from Big Lots what a joke....
