A Memorable Anniversary Getaway at Shawnee Lodge and conference center.
My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a stay at Shawnee Lodge and conference center.it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a serene atmosphere. The property itself is nestled in beautiful surroundings, offering the perfect mix of natural beauty and comfort.
Our room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. We especially appreciated the thoughtful anniversary touches they added, which made our stay feel even more special. The peaceful ambiance allowed us to fully relax and enjoy quality time together.
We took full advantage of the hiking trails nearby, exploring the scenic landscapes and taking in the stunning views. It was a perfect way to unwind and reconnect with nature. In the evening, we enjoyed a quiet dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a cozy night in, reminiscing about our years together.
Overall, Shawnee Lodge and conference Center provided the ideal backdrop for our anniversary celebration. It’s a perfect destination for couples looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway. We can’t wait to return for future celebrations!

Had a great time with my family the grandkids loved the game room. Every part of Shawnee Lodge is beautiful and very clean. We were all there last week and are ready to book again for a month from now. Can’t wait. The staff was super accommodating and very nice. This is the second year in a row that when we have checked in, we have had Beth and she is awesome. Thank you, Beth!.

We love this place with all our hearts!
Rooms are great, staff is always friendly, pools are perfect for hot summer days, and the view is the best!
One miss, is the lack of phone service and poor Internet connection for those who need to work during the visit

Rude staff, policies that are not online nor enforced by some employees, yet rudely enforced by others.
Room prices are outrageous for essentially no amenities and an unstocked room.
The paths from the lodge to the cabins are not lit at night (even though street lamps are in place), which is simply a dangerous set up.
All the amenities (indoor pool, hot tub, gym) were closed for maintenance/remodeling during our stay, but you better bet you are paying full price still.
Poor customer service. Would never come back.

Stayed here in the cabins but can not recommend. The deck overlooking the pool is literally falling apart, and the cabins are worn out and have mildew in the bathrooms. The indoor pool and hot tub were closed and we were not notified until after we booked, and the discount they were offering due to this was not applied because we booked before the notification went out. Really disappointing and frustrating.

We enjoyed our stay with our friends from college that we see once a year.
The rooms have been updated and smelled fresh and not musty as many older lodges can smell.
The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the servers at the Smokehouse restaurant. We were a group of 12 and received friendly, efficient service for dinner, lunch, and breakfast. Haley took great care of us for two meals, laughing with us and joining in our banter.
The lodge has so many places for groups of people to gather and be together. I wished we had more time to use the chairs around the fire pits.
I would love to give 5 stars, but the internet was truly an issue. We were unable to get a signal most of the time, making it hard to keep in touch with family back home or on the road in an area that does not have cell service. We discussed what a great option this would be for hosting conferences, but when we asked about the conference center internet, we were told that it was the same as the guest wi-fi, which would never work for a conference.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We used the archery range, pool, disk golf course, hiking trail, shuffleboard court, and pool.

Not well cleaned. Cabin not stocked with basic needs like soap. Food below average. But they have lots of cozy nooks around the property for hanging out and good trails.

Visiting Shawnee State Park Lodge during Christmas time was an absolutely delightful experience. The festive atmosphere, with decorations and lights, really added a special touch to the park's natural winter beauty. We stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms, and I must say, the upgrades were impressive. The rooms felt modern yet cozy, perfect for a family stay during the chilly season. Everything from the comfortable bedding to the tasteful decor made our stay very enjoyable. The lodge itself was bustling with holiday spirit, and the staff were as warm and welcoming as the roaring fire in the lobby. It was the perfect winter getaway—peaceful natural surroundings, excellent accommodations, and a festive cheer that made our Christmas vacation memorable.

As a New Englander, this was my first time staying at Shawnee and I had a total blast. It was so fun staying with framily (friend family) in the cabins. The kiddos went horseback riding at a spot about a 15 min drive away. We visited an awesome splash pad also about 15 min drive away. The outdoor pool at the lodge is in good condition; it has a great kid pool near it that is clutch for the little kids that need a dedicated space to crawl and sit. The cabins have excellent air conditioning that kept us cool during the July heat. This location is great for big families to spend time together. It does however have some issues that are worth considering: cell service is spotty and the landlines in the cabins don't work. Bringing walkie talkies to communicate between cabins could be a good option. There is a playground that is positioned on top of a hill with no real path to get to it and it just bakes in the hot sun all day with zero shade. If you bring bikes, there are no bike paths so it can get a bit repetitive. Again, this place is a great option for bigger families there are some conveniences and amenities that definitely could use improvements.
Food and drinks: Eating breakfast at the lodge restaurant was easy and yummy.
