We have been taking our 5 cats and 2 dogs to Lakota for years. They always are extremely friendly, care deeply for our animals, and treat each animal's individual needs with attention and detail. We've done routine care, long-term illness care, sick visits, and new puppy/kitten care. I'll never take my animals anywhere else!

All of the staff are patient and kind. The facility is clean, and we are typically able to get appointments quickly. My issue is padding treatment/tests unnecessarily and increasing costs. My pet had lab work done previously to rule out an issue, but when my spouse took my pet in at a later date, they retested. Overall, our bill was approximately $408 higher due to this and other tests. I love my pet dearly, however, I am disappointed that the veterinarian would mislead pet owners into spending more than what is medically necessary.

Dr. Kelly is awesome! She's a true pet lover and amazing vet. In addition, Ryan Stock is a great vet tech and the only one you want to draw blood from your cat or dog!

I had taken my dog here for our first visit today. The staff is super friendly and I wanted to mention Dr. Erin and Jasmine! They were both amazing with my girl and putting her at ease for her wellness exam. Dr. Erin takes her time to sit down and talk with you. I didn’t feel rushed at all and felt like I could ask all the questions I needed. You can definitely tell they love what they do.Thank you!

Horrible experience with reception, really rude and aggressive. The hospital manager Mindy is kind and I believe resolved the issue as I was told one receptionist was let go and the other disciplined.

Though the reviews made me call this place, I am very wary of bothering with this place. Pet expenses can be quite expensive and my family did not prioritize veterinary care. Now that I have a better job I am investing in getting my cat looked at. I initially had a morning appointment yesterday, but had to cancel because the person taking her couldn't even get her in the crate. So I rescheduled for this Friday 4/21 at 5:30pm via the app. I was called later that day by Jenny stating that due to the nature of my visit they couldn't accommodate at 5:30 appointment as they close at 6. The appointment would be 45 minutes. Why did the app offer 5:30 as an option if they could not accommodate it? That's a good question I don't think we will have an answer to. I suggest they add some stipulation there or get rid of that option all together. Anyway, Jenny suggested I make the appointment earlier and to check with my job if I can come in at 5. So I did and called back but got a different receptionist who I believe to be Theresa. Theresa explained there are no Friday appointments so I asked if I can just get one thing addressed at my 5:30 appointment on Friday. She proceeded to repeat that there are no Friday appointments and I informed her I have an appointment Friday already. She rudely scoffed and told me the appointment was cancelled because they could not accommodate it. I meekly replied "oh they cancelled it i didn't know that" and she said responded quite rude. The other receptionist she passed me along to was also rude. She used fear mongering language to say my cat could have heart disease because she's wheezing and was appalled that she had never been to the vet before. While I understand the sentiment, there's probably a better way they could've handled the situation all together. There's definitely a better way they could've spoken to me. Needless to say I thanked them and told them I would search somewhere else. You never know what other people are going through, and you don't know other peoples situations. Perhaps speaking with tact and kindness should be part of the training at VCA. I found another place to take my cat and they were kind despite my situation. I hope other people have better luck than I did here.

Vet and vet tech were very informative and kind. Older receptionist at front got upset or didn't know the answers when I was asking the cost of a future appt.

They are so good to my baby Kendall. ❤️ I can’t say enough good things about how they go above and beyond for their patients to make sure they get the best care.
