Frontgate is a bad risk to purchase from: about a year ago, a new bath towel selvedge started to fray and when I called & I asked them if I needed to send proof of defect they said no and replaced the item right away. Great. But the big expensive stuff like umbrella parts....not so good. Most of the time, the CS reps just don't want to deal with anything complex, so they fluff it off. Today, I spoke with Cana, a very helpful CS rep who spent the time to research the purchase and I've been promised a return call from parts. We shall see if I actually hear from them. Frontgate's problem is they don't make ANYTHING, they are just a big expensive reseller that boasts of quality and uniqueness but doesn't back it up. One should carefully consider the aggravation issue when ordering from Frontgate. Caveat Emptor.....Later the promised FG CS dept emailed me that "due to confidentiality agreements, they won't give out the umbrella manufacturer's info" and they won't sell to the public - of course FG won't provide the parts either. So, buying anything from FG is a poor risk.

I bought (2) 1500.00 framed prints. One was delivered w a damaged frame. I called customer service to replace the damaged item. I am on my (6th) exchange for the same print! YES I WROTE 6! ALL DAMAGEDI asked them to give up at 5 but another came. I was given a discount.. not enough, I am a 5’2 woman with a 4 plus foot box to deal with each time. Unpacking /lRepacking, pulling it to my porch, no one showing up to pick up the return, pulling it back in. Currently I have gone through 4 people, some were “escalated” departments and almost two months in…I still have a huge box that I can’t get them to come pick up. Is there really not a service that you can hire to pick up a box in my neighborhood in the DFW area in a two month time frame? UPS passes my house probably 5 times a day? I’ve made 10 calls today to try and reach corporate or Paul Tarvin. Maybe he can get my box picked up?

I placed orders for 3 items on different dates. The shipping time line is ridiculous! Each time it was delayed several times. A month for a doormat is not acceptable. Still waiting by the way. And getting a person to speak to about the status takes several calls. I am going to ask them to take my name off the mailing list. Why bother. They can't seem to deliver their merchandise.

I ordered a set of Christmas Ornaments online on 11/21. I checked order status daily until 12/1 when the status changed from \\\"processing\\\" to \\\"backordered. Won't be delivered until 12/30.\\\" 10 days to tell me it's on backorder??? I called and they had no solution for me other than cancel my order and try to order something else. Big surprise, no other ornament sets were available. Then this idiot had the nerve to tell me, \\\"it's always a good idea to call a company when purchasing items through their website.\\\" WHAT?!?! Since when? Online shopping isn't some new phenomenon! Have you been living in a cave since the 1980s?! DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS COMPANY! You will be disappointed.

Frontgate, Ballard Designs and Grandin Road have become purveyors of garbage since they were bought by ***. We have ordered from each in the last 12 months and received damaged merchandise, defective merchandise, and the wrong merchandise. Each time a return takes weeks and weeks to allegedly arrive at their warehouse and for a credit to be issued. In the meantime they are making money on my money and I am forced to file a dispute with the credit card company to avoid the accrual of interest. It’s a scam, in my mind, and akin to the schlock credit sales of their parent company. Never again. I’d rather pay more to get what I want and get it the first time than deal with this horrible company ever again.

I have been a long-term customer of Frontgate. However, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of the Customer Service for this company. An example, is a recent experience when a order that I placed in December of last years has now been delayed 4 TIMES. I have called the customer service for Frontgate about this order several times. However, with the most recent email communication sent this month I decided to cancelled the order. I realize that these are difficult times and thus, understood when the delivery date for my order was delayed a couple of times since this past December. However, it is now February and I keep receiving the same boiler plate email communications informing of additional delays. This is only one example of a number of negative experiences that makes me think the quality of service for Frontgate has declined. I dont mind paying more for quality but the customer service has to match the extra costs that customers pay for this catalogue.

We purchased a Frontgate pre-lit Christmas Tree several years ago. But once we had used the eight-or-so replacement bulbs that came with the tree we have never been able to find more replacement bulbs for it (after visiting every box or hardware store in the area, calling Frontgate Customer Service and filling in their form, calling two other phone numbers given with the packing information, making an exhaustive online search and consulting with an electrician). Each section of our tree goes dark when a single bulb is missing or otherwise not working. Be wary of buying any pre-lit item from Frontgate if you will need replacement bulbs to keep it lit.

Ordered a $1,300.00 umbrella and paid $200.00 for shipping for them to drop it at my front door and leave me to do the rest. I could have paid less money and had the company deliver, assemble and remove the boxes from my house. Called the company and got a robot answer. The delivery person said we haven't delivered something like this so all we can do is deliver and leave it for you. Front Gates answer is to spend another $200.00 to return the item. SO I spend $400.00 for an item I do not have anymore! It took three months just to have it delivered. Will NEVER EVER purchase anything from this company again! Total waste of my time and energy.

This Company has given me the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. I had a $10,000 order which they botched again, again and again. I called them about 25 times and called their delivery service about the same number of times, I ordered the merchandise in March 2020 and the delivery service did not show up on FOUR scheduled delivery dates. I was disconnected so many times I cannot remember.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. 3 weeks and still no gift shipped. Spent nearly $200 on a kitchen mat (never again) and I had to call to keep checking on where it was. They don't bother following up on anything and the sales clerk this morning couldn't have been RUDER. WHAT A WASTE IN THIS ECONOMY. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE YOUR BUSINESS AND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IS APPRECIATED.

I stopped by Frontgate for some business. I had some time and I chatted with their security guard Gwen at the front desk. Gwen is a gem for this company! She gives a very good impression of your business.

just like ALL OF THE OTHERS.....terrible service. I just used their return label for a large float. They originally charged $60 for oversized item. I used their prepaid label for 14.95. They ended up charging over $46.00 to return...not the prepaid label which should have been only $14.95... i have bought items from them over the years and they always find a way to cheat the customer...horrible customer service. They just will not make it right! This is the LAST TIME!
