This is not a care facility it’s a prison. My dad didn't make it one day there. They didnt feed him, they didnt give him any of his life saving medications, they wouldnt even provide him toilet paper. He fell trying to get to his personal belongings where he had some personal toilet paper stashed because there was none in the bathroom. He called me crying cause he could not get food or water and he said his vision was blurry. His blood sugar was crash level when we got to the ER by the way but they never checked it. First they wouldnt let me in the building they locked the doors amd wouldnt answer the call buttons or the phone number posted. Once they finally let me in after i walked around the building Nd found his room and yelled at a nurse through the window, the head Nurse tried to stand between me and the door and would not let me leave with him as he was in emergency need of medical care.Do not be fooled by how nice this place looks, these people are not qualified to administer bandaids much less care for someone entering rehab. Im going to fimd someone to call, people need to be fired over what they did to my dad. He is getting xrays on his shoulder right now they suspect its fractured. They werent going to do anything about it at this nursimg home they just put him in a chair and left and would not answer his call light.

If I could give zero I would. Letting elderly patients sit after open heart surgery with zero medication for over 10 hours. Shame on you

Needs to have more staff!! Makes stnas work with many patients at once. Aides leave before shift change an don’t care for people leaving light shift with a mess. Patients were soaking wet still fully dressed and up. So night shift is expected to lay people down do complete bed changes because some haven’t been touched all day and then we have to get them up? No way!

Always short staffed. Makes stna’s work short and have a plethora of patients to care for making it impossible to properly care for.

Most of the staff does their job very well!A Cna/nurse/helper name “Patricia”does not!Either is judgemental or don’t care.Something needs to be done about her attitude and work ethic. Even found out a couple other employees have complained about her and spoke of her needing to be written up/ reprimanded or let go.I will try to update in future of some instances that she has not performed her job duties or description. One is her lying about situations.Want to make sure I have correct info before I go into more details.Beware of this employee!

I am a Private Duty HHA that assisted a Client during their time at Ashley Place, Advanced Therapy and in Long Term Care. I've assisted many Clients in many different care settings and different facilities over the course of my care career. I have truly seen the best, the worst and allll the "in betweens" when it comes to care facilities or senior residences and I'd like to post an honest review!I was very impressed with Ashley Place specifically. IF your loved one is still fairly Independent and the type of person who enjoys/requires a lot of engagement/activities.. The Ashley at Chesterwood does not lack in this department! My Client participated in at least 2 chair yoga classes weekly as well as chair volleyball. There were also art programs, workout programs, seasonal events, worship hours in the afternoon, many different entertainers would pop in, crafts, ice cream socials.. you name it, it's available. (I personally really miss participating and assisting with the yoga and vball!). I found The Ashley to have a very personable and caring staff. I was present for the Halloween Costume event last season, as well as for Christmas and I could not get over the familial bond the staff has, kitchen crew especially, and the amount of care and detail they put into organizing and running these events for their Residents!I found The Ashley, AT and LTC to ALL be clean, well maintained. There is a maintenance team present daily if any issues arise. Very caring staff overall. There were several Nurses, Aides, kitchen, dining staff and Physical Therapy team members that are truly "worth their weight in gold" as they say. With all of the strengths and positives mentioned, what makes this a 4/5 instead of 5/5 is something that really is more of an industry issue rather than just a Chesterwood issue exclusively (as I've seen this everywhere I've been). There are times Agency Nurses have been brought in to fill gaps in staffing and this CAN create care deficiencies for Residents, particularly when it comes to timely med passes. Unfortunately this is common everywhere. Communication from direct staff to Agency Assistance seems lacking. To be very fair, this is a hard field to staff full-time and just like with every other care facility I've ever been in, this can effect operations on occasion when fill-ins have to be called in.Overall I would absolutely recommend Chesterwood for a loved one IF Independent or Assisted care living is what you are looking into. The staff across the board were top of the line. The Aides that I worked with were some of the most empathetic and proffessional Aides out there. The amount of activities and social engagement for Residents is unmatched by anywhere else. Chesterwood is definitely worth checking into!

I’ve worked here for a while! It’s a great place to work. The residence are wonderful. We all have busy days but at the end of the day this place is really great to work! The staff here are wonderful. The director Danielle is Awesome the best!!!!!the residence are amazing. The nurses are amazing! As long as you put in your work and your time with the people here I think over all it’s a great place to work and gain experience!

As a former employee as a CNA at Chesterwood Village this is one of the worst jobs I have ever had and experienced. If you are looking to become a CNA for the first time like I was, don't work for this company! It will definitely make you not want to be a CNA ever again. Honestly very sad because that was always my dream! The management is absolutely terrible! Not only are you the CNA but you will also be working in the dining room, doing laundry 24/7, taking turns being a housekeeper and answering call lights on a floor of 45 residents by YOURSELF! Crazy right? Also when short staffed you will be asked to run not only your floor but also another floor by YOURSELF! When you ask for help from either another aide , nurse, or supervisor good luck because you won't get the help you need. It will physically and mentally wear you out and the pay of $14/hr. is definitely not worth it! Honestly the only thing I loved and miss about this company is the residents.

When i walked over she sat up and said ",what" REALLY? This place shouldnt be in business. My uncle asked for a pain med at 6 am and had yet to receive one 9 hrs later. People are stuck in rooms and forgoten about. Very sad

My mom ended back at Chesterwood 2 weeks ago (it was not our families choice, but hers) updating my review to say that the quality of care still leaves much to be desired- I will leave my specifics for this visit off of my review-- the other 1 star reviews besides mine speak for themselves, these are not coincidences.Beautiful facility but be weary of the establishment as a whole. Communication amongst departments and family members is lacking. Nursing staff failed to address an ant infestation in a timely manner resulting in my family member being covered in ants. Took reaching out to Chesterwood 3 times before my call was returned. Do not suggest this establishment for your loved ones.
