Store was difficult to locate, because the name Tartan Turtle was not on any store front signs, or anywhere in store either. (including receipts) other than that, large selection of many things, and found what we were looking for.

Cute boutique located inside one of the anchor antique shops in Waynesville. The owner is usually around and will tell you the story of all of her products and why she offers them in her shop. Lots of kitschy decor for your house. She's a big animal lover (her shop is named after her dogs Etsy and Elle I believe) so she also sells items for your pets. I love coming in to check out the clothing she offers that you can't find in the big box stores. Last year I stocked up on scarves and gave them as gifts during the Christmas season. There's always something new in the shop that I didn't know I needed until that very moment. Definitely worth checking out if you're in search of a gift.

I was finally able to stop by this weekend to The Tartan Turtle and what a great store! There are so many unique pieces scattered throughout the store. Everything catches your eye! I especially loved the Gypsy and the Hatter section, which is the perfect balance of vintage pieces and handmade items. Also, the Immortelle Bijouterie jewelry is on point and absolutely perfect. The owner was super helpful and very kind. I will definitely be back!

My first visit to The Tartan Turtle was one I will never forget. I first met Charlotte when I asked, "Do you think this table can come apart and fit in my car?" An hour later, the table was packed in my car, and I felt like I made a new friend. Charlotte wasn't taking no for an answer from that table! I truly had the best visit and am so excited about my new table for the holidays!!! Charlotte, it was great to meet you and I look forward to the next time I stop by!
