This is a nice Kroger's layout and location. The store is suffering from staffing and/or HR issues. I honestly don't visit as often and others in my family but going during the day, the deli is closed, signs posted, staffing issues. The Pharmacy is closed (advertised) 1 - 1:30 but arriving before 1 PM the counter gates are pulled down and they are closed early. This is truly a sad situation, either they can't hire or they treat the folks like crap. Another Kroger's @ Springfield does not seem to have these troubles. To complicate matters there are times when those shelves are empty. Again I don't go often and when I do I look for specific brands/products and WOW empty shelves in the middle of the week. Kind of expect that on a Sunday or Monday. Not sure of the best fix to offer them other then I moved the bulk of my shopping to Sautter's Market down on 64.

So we do that online pick up order and it tells us to pick up the groceries at 12 pm so we get here and they tell us our order won't be ready until 1pm and they said didn't our manager call you we said no and they said maybe they left you a voicemail I said no if they didn't call that means they didn't leave a voicemail. Unreal this is the worst Krogers I've ever been to and for now on I'm doing my shopping at Meijer's. Krogers is a joke that uses the lame excuse that they don't have enough people. If you don't have enough people then make sure you call and let people know about the delay so they don't waste their gas and drive there for nothing.

This Kroger is a rip off! They charge higher prices because they are the only game in town. I can drive 4 miles or so and hit another Kroger and it's less expensive than this one. I only come here when I need to grab something quick. They are constantly rearranging the isles, moving things that you know you can go in and grab and they move it again. Ask an employee where they moved an item and they don't even know. The deli department and meat department never have anyone there that can assist you and have an attitude when you do ask for something. I much prefer to drive down the road to Sautter's and pay a little more at a locally owned business.

Kroger has a wonderful service available that allows you to purchase groceries and other store items on line and you can pick them up "contact-free" through their curbside pick-up. This is a good option for me because I am health care provider and I prefer to limit my COVID risk to the workplace if possible. I have steered clear of stores and restaurants for the past 10 months. On occasion, the items you may get are not exactly what you would have picked out if you were in the store...maybe a little too over-ripe or too close to an expiration date or the wrong variety. But overall, they do a great job with this service to allow you to buy groceries in a COVID safe manner. The people that meet you at your vehicle and load the groceries into your car are wonderful...they are quick and friendly. I see sometimes they even bring treats for people that bring their dogs with them in the car. The problem comes when you need to return an item. I purchased an expensive Keurig coffee machine and received the wrong one. I wanted to exchange/ return it, and was told I need to go inside to do this. They needed my receipt, the Keurig and original form of payment. They did not actually require me to be there to sign for anything, yet they required me to bring it in. Although Kroger is great with COVID safety for purchasing from them, they do not have any COVID safe policies for returning items. I hope they evolve their policies with the current times... until then, you may be having to make the choice to either risk your safety to get your money back or keep something expensive that you don't need and could better use the money for food instead.

This Kroger store has started charging a fee to get cash back at checkout. They already demand payment from your account immediately if you have a chip in your bank card. Can't select credit, only debit. Kroger is just profiteering on their customer base. I'm sure it won't matter to them but I'll be taking our business elsewhere. Hoping there are plenty more people who feel the same way and take their money to a less arrogant company.

This is a nice Kroger, with a nice Starbucks inside it! We visited very briefly to use the restrooms, which are clean and located right near the entrance. You can't ask for more from a grocery store pit-stop. This is a great place to stop if you're traveling, because it's right off the highway, and there is a Kroger-affiliated gas station right next to it, so you can use your Kroger points to get cents off per gallon. Get gas, go to the bathroom, get coffee and get back on the road.

3.5 stars. I guess the people who use this Kroger aren't your average Yelp clientele. It's hard to believe I'm only the second one to review. Not sure when it opened, but it had recently gone through an expansion. It is now a bit bigger than when I first visited a couple years ago. I assume it's because the store started getting more foot traffic. It's your average Kroger. I have not much to say about the store in general other than the fact that it's located in a quieter area than some other Krogers around town, and it generally doesn't get busy except for a few expected times like Friday afternoons, or right before a snow storm. It has a Starbucks inside and a pharmacy with a drive-thru that opens till 8pm (or was it 9...?) People are generally friendly and consumers usually are also. Parking is better than the other ones so my wife prefers going to this one, although sometimes the variety of international groceries they carry tend to be a bit shallow compared to some other grocery stores around. Then again, it's understandable since Waterville isn't exactly considered to be a "melting pot" or anything.. I hope this changes since it would be a lot more convenient for me to pick up some Asian specific groceries nearby rather than having to drive 30-90 minutes for a few rare items. I kinda hope this one stays quiet and accessible, but with more houses getting built around the area, I'm sure it's inevitable it gets a bit busier.

I go to Kroger often because I love their scan and go option, however this Kroger is really quite disappointing. I made a simple call to see if they had a particular item in stock before going to a holiday party. I was holding for over 10 mins waiting for someone to answer a call in their apparel department. No one ever answered so I called back. The person in customer service apologized and then redirected me to the department again. Another 10 min hold! I waited on hold for over 20 mins to have not one person answer my call. By that time I had to make a decision on my white elephant present so I took my business to their competitor because they answered my call and helped me with my inquiry. I am extremely disappointed in their service and lack of initiative and urgency for their customer service!
