met with mike snodgrass (great guy! highly recommend!) today and got a full bag fitting minus the putter.
mike went through everything about my g710's i had bought on facebook marketplace and found they were not what we thought they were.
the level of care and attention that mike paid me was well worth the money just to understand more about my swing and found that the clubs were not my spec (surprise...not really). i had be struggling with a toe strike and found i needed more upright clubs and once i did the center of the face was basically the only area i was hitting the club.
i had my eye on the new ping i530 but went in with no expectations except i was not sure i was good enough to play them since i was always hitting in the toe...after the fitting and seeing how much better i was striking the ball after finding a properly fit golf shaft and trying a bunch of differnet iron heads (pxg 0311 gen6, p790, ext.) the i530 won out!
we spent some time on my ping fairway woods that i already own (3 and 5 wood) and found a golf shaft that worked for both but decied to only do the 3 wood for now as the 5 wood is pretty new and was hitting it very well for now...may upgrade in the future.
the driver...was a bit tricky...was pretty tired by this point but will have another session in the future when i am fresh.
when everything was done, mike showed me the build list and everything that we had decied on. over all the price was a bit higher then what you would pay for a set on the rack at your big box store but this set was not outside what i was expecting. the level of care that i got and the knowledge mike helped me gain from my fitting opened my eyes that i can definitly play better golf then what i have been playing and that i am better then i thought i am! (so happy!!!!!!!). i decided to pay for everything as mike went above and beyond what someone in this kinda industry would do. he even modified my current set of irons slightly so i can hopefully see some gains until the new clubs are ready.
all this to say, is getting custum clubs expensive?...yes but if your serious about the game and love it, paying a bit extra for that level of service is a small price to pay. just do your research and dont expect that you know everything, there is always things to learn!
i will be going back in the future for another look at the driver and putter at some point but am VERY happy for now.
small update: ordered clubs 5/18/2024, all componets are in and are in-line for the build shop, projected time to receive order is 6/23/2024 to 6/26/2024...i still feel like the fitting was great but the time to get this level of clubs i feel is way too long. i was told it would be 6 weeks with the hope of sooner. very disappointed and would like a more transparent and targeted build date for the price i paid which was over retail of a new set of clubs.
i would do another fitting in a heartbeat but will do my research on my specs that they give me and just order them straight from the manufature next time or look for a used set that is close.

I've been out of the game for a couple years due to a back injury but thought I'd take advantage of the sake price on the full bag fitting. Met with Michael who stayed with me for over the hours walking me through various setups. I walked out with my perfect club selections for my swing and feeling confident I will get back into the game better than when I left. Highly recommend Club Champion and especially Michael Snodgrass as he is an expert at his craft. You won't find the cookie cutter approach or a salesman pushing you toward a certain high commission product like you find at other locations. Definitely worth the drive!

The club fitting process at Club Champion is awesome! The issue that I have is the level of customer service after you've purchased a product. I've been fitted twice there. Each time the fitting has been great. After paying for my clubs and being given an estimated arrival date, I never received any communication (phone or email) regarding the arrival of my clubs. I had to call customer service to inquire about the arrival of my clubs. Each time the store already had the clubs in their possession. Recently I dropped a club off to have the shaft repaired. I dropped it off on a Tuesday and asked to be notifed whether are not it would be covered under warranty. On Thursday, I hadn't heard anything, so I called twice to inquire about the club. The first call was in the morning and I was informed by the customer service rep that they (the store) would call me back. I didn't receive a call back from them, so I called again in the afternoon on the same day. The customer service rep stated that she could not reach them, but she sent an email informing them that I was inquiring about the club. By Friday afternoon I still had not received a call back, so I went to the store and picked up the club to take elsewhere for service. Good customer service goes a long way in my book. I don't think I'll be utilizing there services in the future.

I went for a driver fitting with Michael. Michael was very knowledgable and patient with me as I worked through a lot of shots. He utilized my feedback and made adjustments/changes to the club head and shaft throughout the fitting. We tried numerous combinations of shaft, head type, weight, loft, etc until we found the best results. Would definitely recommend this store, and Michael specifically, for anyone needing a new club. I would imagine a full bag or any other fitting they offer would be just as beneficial of an experience. Now I just have to wait until my new driver comes in!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Club Champion in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, for a driver shaft fitting, and it turned out to be an extraordinary experience. This was my first time using Club Champion's services, and I must say, it surpassed all my expectations.
The highlight of my visit was working with my master fitter, Michael Snodgrass. His expertise and approach to fitting were nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I walked in, Michael exhibited a deep understanding of what I needed. He was attentive and genuinely interested in addressing the concerns I had with my current shaft. It was evident that he wasn't just looking to make a sale; he was committed to finding the best fit for me.
What impressed me the most was the level of detail Michael put into the fitting process. He didn't rush through any part of it. Instead, he meticulously analyzed various aspects to ensure that the shaft he recommended would complement my playing style. This level of personalized attention and precision is something I hadn't experienced in my previous fittings elsewhere.
Michael's patience and willingness to listen to my feedback throughout the session made a significant difference. He was responsive to my queries and provided insights that helped me understand the nuances of what makes a great driver shaft. His recommendations were tailored to my specific needs, which I greatly appreciated.
The facility itself was top-notch, equipped with the latest technology, which further enhanced the fitting experience. It's clear that Club Champion is dedicated to providing golfers with the best possible equipment and service.
Overall, my experience at Club Champion in Warrensville Heights was exceptional, thanks to Michael Snodgrass. His professionalism, expertise, and customer-centric approach have made me a loyal customer. I am looking forward to returning for all my future fitting needs. For anyone looking to improve their game with custom-fitted clubs, I highly recommend Club Champion, and particularly, Michael Snodgrass. You won't be disappointed!

I have been fit for many different clubs over the years. In this case I was being fit for a putter. They used SAM which was great on my old putter, but never again, so there is no way to know if the changes we made actually worked and if the new putter had better path. Their prices for putters are more expensive than retail (eg the BGT Shaft is $65 from the manufacturer). I get that they need to make money, but they charge $125 for the putter fitting AND charge more for the clubs. The thing that irked me the most is the website lists that they have PXG which was the main reason I was going to be fit. They don't. They have a few older models, but none of the new ones. I had to go to a real PXG fitting to get fit for the actual putter (free fitting BTW) and had to pay the $125 for really nothing.

Went through the putter fitting with Michael, was a great experience! Received in depth swing analysis and was given plenty of time and options to find what I liked and what worked the best. Highly recommend the process for any golfer looking to improve on the greens!

This was my third session with Club Champion working with Mike. I am a senior player and schedule a visit every five years as my swing speed declines over time. Mike is great to work with and understands my expectations to the fullest. You cannot get this kind of dedication and expertise at a golf retailer or find the incredible variation of heads and shafts on hand that are available at Club Champion. This process is not the cheapest way to go, but I see it as an investment in my game so I can continue to enjoy the game for as long as possible. Kris W

I just finished a putter fitting with Maxwell. He was very informative and very easy to work with. I went in expecting to spend more than I did (actually, I spent half), and for that, I will be back. Thanks, Maxwell
