As a lover (and former 7 year employee) of Ulta, I was shocked at the store condition on Saturday early evening. The store was extremely busy (which is GREAT) but of the 4 or 5 employees working only two acted like they enjoyed themselves. One manager couldn’t be bothered and was busy starting the 10 hour ad for the next morning (sign boxes everywhere, promo planner pages laying out, etc) and was extremely annoyed that we were shopping fragrance. There was zero active guest engagement, I legit walked around with an airwrap in my arms for 15 minutes and no one said a peep to me. Loyalty and credit programs weren’t mentioned, plus one selling wasn’t a focus. I legitimately was appalled. I don’t know who the GM is for specific location however your team needs refocused, the mission/vision isn’t being fulfilled and your metrics are suffering.

This is a nice sized store in a good location but my daughter and I were followed closely the whole time we shopped. It wasn’t even subtle. I’m a platinum member but I guess I don’t meet the criteria for how their clientele should look. I can take my money elsewhere.

Every time I go in there I feel like the employees stalk me as if I'm going to shop lift. I don't dress to the nines, but I'm not wearing rags either. My wife spends over $1k/yr there. You'd think they would be a little more trusting. If theft is that big a deal, maybe lower the prices a little. Or hire security.

My daughter loves this store and just about every girl/woman. They have so many different products to choose from. Skin care, make-up, lipstick, nail polish, styling tools, salon hair care, and much more. They have station's where you can try on make-up to make sure you like it and it matches the look you want. They have people who will help apply make-up to get the look and color you want. They even have a Salon in store where you can get your hair, make-up and nails done. It's like the women's version of tool stores for men.

Had an appointment at noon for something they knew would up a decent amount of time. Lady said noon is good she had nothing until way later. Show up to my appointment and the stylist girl is like oh I can't today its a lot of work and I have a 2pm. Wtfffff did I schedule an appointment for they knew what I needed done!

Hello I went to the beauty salon in the Ulta at Niles. I went to the counter and asked if there was anyone that was experienced and comfortable to work on someone with a disease that causes hair loss. I also told them I would need a consultation and someone that's really good at an angled sharp layered Bob. One girl said oh yes the girl that's taking you I saw work on a mannequin and she's really good. First red flag an experienced stylus should not be working on a mannequin. Anyway the girl in question that was going to do my hair came out. She seems shy and brand new she did not introduce herself and she brought me straight to the shampoo bowl. I asked her aren't you going to give me a consultation and she said yes after I wash your hair. Second red flag never give a consultation on wet hair. She took me to a chair across from the shampoo bowl annoyed. I started to explain exactly what I would need to walk her through the haircut because like I said very thinning hard to cut hair. I asked if she could do an inverted bob. She said yes it's an easy haircut. Third red flag! She was being so unprofessional and acting brand new and I asked how long she's been doing this as I did ask the front desk how long the girl had been doing this the only answer I kept getting was "for a long time" that is NOT an answer. I already have the haircut but it needed shaping and restacked. She had zero idea how to attempt what I was asking for. I showed her a picture and she said do you have a picture that is straight? No they are all styled. For a $45 trim I was rushed treated completely unprofessional and I'm very upset that they gave me a brand new stylist! I said that's okay I'm very uncomfortable I can see that you're not going to be able to do what I'm asking and she said I am able to do it but I'm not going to deal with rudeness. I'm so glad I got up and left.
