Horrible work environment with upper management that hates their employees. short list of the things wrong with this cesspool: -Most bedding isn't changed as long as there are no stains -Consistent calls for bed bugs -Can't get in trouble as long as you suck up to management -Employee problems not taken seriously by upper management and GM Kelli -Housekeeping manager Jenn makes employees feel worthless

Great atmosphere!! The pool setting was beautiful and the atrium dining hall was very nice. I got the hamburger which was very good. Others ordered salads. Overall, a great experience.

I went here for a late evening drink, was warmly welcomed and promptly served a pretty good old fashioned. I made my way to the cigar lounge to watch the NBA playoffs and had was honestly shocked by how upscale and welcoming the environment was. The chairs are plush and comfortable, the selection of cigars was modest but impressive, and the scenery was top notch. I could easily spend several hours here. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. I plan on coming back and spending a weekend at the hotel!

Had a wonderful few days there this week. Reception, spa, housekeeping were excellent and friendly. Pool staff, Jack and Nikki, assisted us and were amazing assisting with my handicapped sister. Thanks all.

We stayed here on a Sun thru Tues. Room was nice. There is no elevator so we had to rely on a staff member to get our luggage and accessories to our room. We would have liked a microwave in the room instead of having to go down the hall to use the communal one. The bar/fridge area were very nice. We wanted to eat at Gatsby's for dinner but were told they were closed on Sundays. Also, wanted to go to the wine bar and was told it was also closed on Sundays. We ate at the lobby bar, bartender was very nice, bar food we ordered was good and large portions. Mon. morning we were notified by text that the water would be off from 9 am to 3 pm and we could use the locker room bathrooms on the first floor. Extremely unhappy about that. Called the front desk to ask what time the wine bar opened and we were told 11 am. We went downstairs to the wine bar and no one was there. Inquired and were told it opened at 4pm! We waited around at the lobby bar and had a drink there. Wine bar and bartender were fantastic! We then went to the concierge to ask what time the Gatsby restaurant opened. We were told it didn't open until Wednesday! I scoured the internet and resort website trying to find info on their restaurants and menus and had no luck. We ate at the Atrium restaurant for dinner and breakfast the next day and the food was good. If you use the Roman Bath do not expect it to be warm, the highest temperature it can reach is 90 degrees, we were expecting it to feel like a hot tub, but we were wrong and cold.If you go contact the place personally and see if you can find someone who knows their hours, maintenance schedule, etc. before you go so you are not disappointed like we were.

Enjoyed our meal and here the service was excellent. The Mediterranean Board was delicious with plenty to share. My only complaint it that it a little dark and dated but overall it was a very positive experience.

Great stories by the bartender and he has excellent knowledge (Alex) on wine and cocktails. However, he had to be prompted to wear his face shield and then ironically lifted it every time he spoke.

The Resort is beautiful however the rooms were small and the water pressure was awful. We were going to stay longer than one night but because Of the noise the refrigerator made, the light coming through the windows, the noise from hallway it wasn't worth another night of no rest. social distance was not being practiced, we went to restaurant and the server had a mask but was not wearing it to cover her mouth/nose which made us extremely uncomfortable. The resort was still under construction

I don't really understand the hype of this place. We stayed here twice within the last couple months - both times booking 2 rooms. The first time I thought it odd that both bathrooms had spiderwebs (complete with spiders) and that they didn't seem particularly clean. I chalked it up to things being overlooked because of the pandemic. The bedding in one of our rooms smelled horribly like a wet dog. It was a short stay, so we didn't make a fuss. Our most recent stay was worse though. The internet wouldn't work properly for days. (Which was crucial due to work obligations.) Both bathrooms had spiderwebs in corners, and there was even what appeared to be a large pubic hair on the shower ledge. The bedding didn't smell as bad as last time, but it definitely didn't smell clean. One of our rooms didn't have a refrigerator, and the other room had no washcloths. We needed to be in the area for 2 more days, but the morning we planned to extend our stay, there was a smell coming into both our rooms that was so unbearable we didn't even bother. We checked out and found a Hampton Inn.

We had a wonderful dinner sitting in the vista, listening to live music, watching the sunset, and drinking bubbly . Our server Jacqui was delightful very friendly and attentive.

will not refund/extend anyone for the 3 months their gym will be closed due to COVID-19. Like its our fault we couldnt use the gym & lost $100s of our membership. Avalons response---if you dont pay the full membership cost, you cant come back for a year. Sounds reasonable in these tough times, right? My response--plenty of other gyms around here. wasnt planning on EVER coming back here after the membership expires anyway
