I used to go to Walgreens, until my wife was going on and on about how much more convenient Versailles is. So, I gave it a try, and it's night and day. I'll never go back to a big pharmacy. Pleasant, quick, and it's nice to actually get to know your pharmacists on a first name basis.

My wife was in a lot of pain from an allergic reaction. We saw an ENT specialist who prescribed a medication and sent it to one of the big boy pharmacies. Upon arrival at the big boy's, my wife was told that they do not have access to that medication. I called Versailles Pharmacy. Phillip answered. I told him the medication and asked if he had access to it. He checked his sources and said, yes, he could get it. THEN, he ordered it for us BEFORE he had the prescription to save us a day waiting. We got the prescription transferred to Versailles the next day. My wife picked up the medication that same day and is well on her way to feeling better.Thanks, Phillip - that was really beyond the call of duty!

Versailles Pharmacy is an AMAZING pharmacy! I can't say enough good things about the stellar CUSTOMER SERVICE that goes with using their services. I had a problem with the pharmacy I was trading with several years ago, and spoke with a pharmacist at Walgreen's about moving my Rx's to them; i was assured I'd not have a problem with a couple of my Rx's. Two days later, man were there problems. Needing my medicine, I stopped in here. I was treated like a Prince! I've never looked back. Phillip and Maryellen are some of the best people you'll ever have the privilege of working with. The folks on the Hardware side of the business are also friendly, knowledgeable and just nice people. Oh, did I mention that both of these businesses are independents? They are. As the son of a pharmacist and drug store owner, I truly appreciate not having to spend my money with a big corporation establishment, and just being a number. You know the corporations that took down most every small drugstore in towns across the country in the span of about 10 years? The same way Agent Orange did the same damned thing with all of the independent hardware store. If I could, I'd give Versailles Pharmacy a hundred stars. Now, this is how you treat customers! I actually like coming here a couple of times a month and seeing people I consider friends.

Great pharmacy!!! Great people!!! Totally agree with other reviewers -- Ditch CVS and Walgreens and go to Versaille Pharmacy and get treated like a neighbor and not a number.

This is an amazing pharmacy. Friendly, efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable. This is the only locally owned pharmacy in Alameda. After finding them, I will never do business with CVS or Walgreens again. As one review said it has old, small town ethics. Mary was awesome to speak to on the phone and she took care of everything.

ALWAYS friendly, ALWAYS efficient! The absolute best pharmacy we have ever been too. This pharmacy is great! They are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and it feels so much more personal than a chain pharmacy. Warm, welcoming, and they know you by name. I absolutely recommend!

If you're looking for pharmacy with an extremely knowledgeable pharmacist and caring staff look no further Versailles Pharmacy is Alamedas' only family-owned pharmacy in and it's been in operation for close to 30 years.Phil Jaber and his family were raised in Alameda and and are an intricate part of our community. Recently I was on a trip and had to go to a chain pharmacy. I was shocked on how uncaring the pharmacist and staff were. I felt like a number in a sea of people. Phillip Jaber The pharmacist at Versailles Pharmacy will take his time to explain your medication and he keeps a history should you try a new medication problem that could cause a problem he will alert you. If Alameda were Mayberry RFD Versailles Pharmacy would be on Main Street. Thank you

Outstanding caring service, and free delivery in town, this is as great as it will ever get! I can't say much more now but am sure glad I discovered them, as it saves me time and pain waiting in line for meds. Thanks Versailles, you rock the island and serve us well!!

I found Versailles Pharmacy after experiencing the poor customer service and non-responsiveness of the chain pharmacies. Here is a gem of a place. Where the phone is answered, you are greeted by name and your prescriptions perfectly handled and filled. They provide CUSTOMER SERVICE the way that it should and used to be done and even free delivery. I wish that I could give them 10 stars.

I used to live across the street and it was very convenient. Now I moved and there are other pharmacies that are closer but I keep refilling my prescriptions at Versailles Pharmacy. I love the individualized attention and the owner, Phillip is very helpful. Moreover, it feels good to support a local business.

There is absolutely no reason to go to Walgreens or CVS when you've got an honest-to-god hometown, independent pharmacy where they know you, and you know them, and they deliver. Period.
