Customer service can improve. Just transferred to this local bank because fifth third closed.
Called to ask a simple question and am a complete bother to the lady that answered the phone. Why do people have to be rude? Without us customers you would have NO job.
Kyle is great though.

we have been with them for 5 years or so. they are excellent the outside tellers are warm and pleasant. they have always meet our needs with a smile. we believe they are solid, polite, and provide excellent service

Huntington Bank is acquiring TCF Bank. This is enough to keep me from patronizing Huntington Bank. TCF Bank is worse than dreadful when it comes to customer service. In fact, just writing "TCF Bank" and "customer service" in the same sentence leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The thought that some of the company culture of TCF Bank could infest the Huntington employees would make me, if I was a Huntington employee, extremely nervous and scared. The most apropos analogy I can imagine is that Huntington Bank is a car going down the highway when it comes upon some roadkill. The driver stops and puts the roadkill in the trunk. It would have been better if the driver had simply kept going without stopping.

I was forced to come in in-person to get help with something while in this area. I wasn't thrilled, but tried to go at an off time to minimize COVID risks. While the gal assisting me was helpful and upbeat, I was palpably uncomfortable and distracted and by all the improper mask wearing around me by the associates. Of 5 employees, 1 was wearing their mask correctly. In a place like a bank where people are coming and going all day, and has high touchpoints with cash and documents, I expected so much better from this location in terms of proper adherence to COVID precautions and science. Even seeing people sitting at a close distance from the associates, with both parties not wearing their masks properly, made me deeply anxious. I do not plan to return to this location during pandemic. I needed better from this Huntington Bank and felt extremely stressed out during and after my visit.

The Huntington Bank branch in Vermilion, Ohio is the BEST!!! Always happy and helpful. Never rude or rushy. Every bank should strive to be like this one!!
