I'm a regular customer for several years at the Dollar General on Liberty Avenue in Vermilion, OH. The employees have always been friendly, pleasant and helpful until recently.
This is the 2nd time in the past week or so I went to the store. Both times I asked the same female employee for help (didn't catch her name).
Today 6/27/24 at 7pm was my 2nd visit. There were only 2 employees working 1 male and 1 female so I'm sure someone can figure out who she is.
On both of those days when asking a question she stared at me as if I was talking to a brick wall. When she finally noticed I was talking she had to turn off her ear piece from listening to music.
I asked if the store had a certain product. She didn't know what the product was. I explained it to her and she abruptly replied "its probably over there". Didnt say weather or not they carried the product, didn't offer to find out or suggest anything else. Turned her ear piece back on and continued what she was doing as if she didn't have time to be bothered. This girl could of cared less. I wish I could explain the tone that went with it.
So, I placed the items I was going to buy back on a shelf and left. Not sure if I'll ever go back.
1 time I can see maybe having a bad day which is why I didn't write the 1st time. 2nd time, you obviously have poor customer service skills. Wish I would of seen the other employee 1st but didn't see him until I was walking out the door.

One of the nicest and most efficiently run Dollar Generals I’ve been to. Shelly went above and beyond with a balloon order that I had at the last minute. I am quite impressed with the restocking and the neatness of this location.

Most mornings management is outside smoking with other employees. Who is watching the store? Self check out only works half the time. Have seen customers leave instead of waiting on the smokers to return to ring them up. Old lady manager is really nice but always outside smoking. Are there no cameras that corporate watches? How much theft occurs while staff is outfront smoking? I've seen things.

There are not many places these days that you can go in and everyone working is friendly and helpful. This specific dollar general is one of the few places left I know I can go in and shop without receiving any attitude or aggressio .

I love shopping at this local Dollar store on Liberty Avenue. Do not shop at the one on route 60 they are rude as happy manager never has a smile

Some Items in the clearance area aren't actually discounted and when I questioned an employee she just blew me off.
