I just had my first experience with The Hound Playground and am very disheartened. The weekend before I dropped my beloved fur baby off to stay while I was out of town I went as requested to fill out the paperwork and give them her shot records. This is the very first time that I have ever been without my pup for more than a day so I was very nervous. I got her all signed up and that following Wednesday had a friend drop her off so I could go. They began asking my friend questions when she was dropped off so she called me and I called them. Confirming that I provided them with everything they needed. I was recommended to them by another friend because they were more affordable. That should have been my first clue. $24/ day for boarding is cheap!! When I went to pick her up my bill was $185 and change. I asked what the extra charges were for and he got angry with me stating that she was in doggie daycare everyday and that is an additional $12/ day. Not I nor my paperwork asked for additional charges to be accepted. As I told him that, he told me that his staff has been there for years and would not have made such an oversight. He then told me that he would refund it but my dog could NEVER come back. Now that I of course evaluated my dog she has cuts scrapes on her nose, neck and ears. I don’t have kids! This is my child and I feel like after not seeing her for a week, I was the one robbed. Especially of my first moments of joy after not seeing her for 5 days?

Fast and courteous - not the cleanest but they do stick to their appointments and get you in and out which is why we go here. Abby is fantastic and my dog loves her

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. We took our stinky and muddy dog in for grooming after she rolled in something gross. One hour later, she was beautiful. Thanks so much!

They took good care of our 2 dogs while we went out of town for a couple of days. The place is clean and their rates are really reasonable.

We have been using them to have our Standard Poodle groomed for around 6 years. The first three years we were there, the groomer was AMAZING. A couple of years ago we noticed there was a new groomer and they still did a pretty decent job. The last few times we have not been very happy with how he was groomed. Large patches of hair were left fluffy and his ears didn’t get cleaned. They also claimed to have called and left a message he was done but neither myself or my wife received a call and our poor boy was at the groomers waiting on us for almost two hours. We will be looking for a new place to get our dog groomed.

I love this place! I have been going since I got my dog over a year and a half ago. They always do such a good job and they are always able to get him in a timely manner. They also don’t keep him all day they have him back to me quickly! If you are looking for a local place I recommend!

I can't give them any stars, but I had to give one. I explained to them that she's skittish being in anew environment also that she needed mussel and short leash on the table for trimming her nails. he said fine, he grabbed her leash and she slipped out of her collar and instead of him giving me a chance to put her collar back and ease her he grabbed on the side of her neck and a hand full of skin and tried to drag her across the floor. Horrible service , my advice if you have a dog like mine that's not the place to take them
