Looks like the store has a new manager and she's getting things turned around. Product is on the shelves and it's coming together. Can't wait to see what she can accomplish. It has been months since I've been in there, so glad I gave them another chance!!!

This store is dirty!!!! Customer service is not the same, it used to be you were greeted upon arrival. What happened to this location? I have never seen the so-called new manager hired to replace the great manager they already had at this location. Matt never has a dirty store

This particular Family Dollar used to be a nice place to shop, but here in the past few months I've noticed the GOOD staff that USED TO work there are all gone. Now the only person I see there is that old man who's always outside the door smoking cigarettes like a chimney and coughing up a lung! He doesn't know what the hell he's doing on that cash register. He overcharged me and didn't even know how to refund my money. There wasn't even a manager there who could solve the problem. Trailer trash at its finest.

I used to work at this spot back when Matt was the manager, coolest manager i could've ever have had the time to work with. But hearing how things have changed with the new staff and management, it sickens me how much of a downward spiral the store took. I had a good time working there, and got fun days out of it!

New management is rude and unprofessional, they got rid of all the good employees and it’s gone downhill. The Vandalia community is very, very upset and corporate should be involved in removing the problem. The major problem is the new manager, she needs to be fired immediately!!!

IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD! This used to be favorite Family Dollar, but since new management I will NEVER STEP FOOT INSIDE EVER AGAIN! The new lady manager is so rude, she makes it seem like an inconvenience to ask her for anything! And the store is almost always closed and I didn’t understand why until I overheard a customer saying it’s closed down so the manager can pick up her kids???? That’s outrageous and so unprofessional!!! My business will go elsewhere from now on, I wish the old manager was still around. He was so great with the customers and treated everyone like family! This location really lost out on a great manager and business…??????

I have always had a nice experience at this store. Matt the store manager has really done a lot over the years to turn this store around from organization and keeping the store clean.Everyone is so welcoming with a BIG Hello from the minute you walk into the store. Matt even went as far as walking my elderly mother to her car and loading her groceries. Kudos to Matt!

Went in, the store was well organized. The cashier says hello upon entry. I purchased my items . The cashier was courteous and thanked me for stopping in. Yes I will revisit this establishment.

Been going to this family dollar for years and i go like every other day. Just had my bad experience with the new assistant manager. Never had a problem. He was very rude and nasty all i asked for was my receipt because i bought a charger that didn't work and wanted to return it. Told me to grab another i wanted the receipt just in case that it didn't work. He very rude with me and told me he couldn't print my old receipt and started going off on me. He was rude to the man before when he asked why they didn't sell choc milk a simple question. He doesn't need his manager position or his job honestly. Never had a problem before this being going for 8+ yrs.Can't get ahold of corporate but Matt the actual manager needs to know about his behavior!!!
