About the most useless and incompetent post office in the state. They've lost a dozen pieces of mail thanks to them jumping on the address on a change of address form. No one knows where the items have gone.

Ruth was very helpful and professional. I needed to mail internationally, which has more obscure regulations, but she handled it easily. She double checked all the forms, was courteous and got me exactly what I needed. Thanks!

Had a package that was supposed to be delivered yesterday checked on it last night said customer requested hold at post office. I’m on crutches and am unable to drive, I have to rely on other people to help me do things. So why would I request it to be held at the post office. Tried calling this morning after they opened waited 15 minutes just to give them some time to get situated and no one will answer .

So I have this sign 36"H x 31"W roughly 40lbs net weight and was told they can't ship it nor give me an estimate anything over 70" can't be shipped over the phone this isn't 70" was told I have to sum up 36+31 which still isn't 70" but I asked if I make a cardboard box the same measurements and mark 40lbs net weight and bring it in they can give me an estimate she said yes that will work but what happened to your 70" can't be shipped nor give me an estimate. Their website is ignorant and errors out, doesn't work correctly not to mention how many times I had to call not answer because they see my number but answer after 9 times because I blocked my number. This place needs investigated or retrained about we the peoples rights and let them know they serve us we pay them.

They can't seem to deliver a simple package. Whenever we have a substitute mail carrier, we end up with our mail scattered throughout the neighborhood. When they deliver packages they just drop them off at the wrong houses.

Delivery is slow. The mailman that are walking cut across the road so that when you’re backing out you don’t see them. Then they yell at you like it’s your fault they cross the road in your Blindspot‘s. We never get any of our packages that go through them on time and half the time they lose them.

They won’t answer the phone and have no idea where a package is. I’ve tried calling for days.

Does anyone know if anyone actually works at the post office??? I've called multiple times and no one answers.... I was wondering if they are going to send a paycheck since all of my neighbors, including my self re- deliver mail on a normal basis! Cmon USPS it's a small town.

I was told that they “attempted” to deliver my package at 10:01 pm when it was 7:30 pm. When I had called earlier to check the status the lady was very curt and snarky on the phone telling me that it wouldn’t get delivered until later, as if I was supposed to know my mail ( which is usually delivered around 2 pm) was supposed to be dropped off in the EVENING.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! Rarely do they answer a phone call. Packages and mail that can't get delivered properly. They don't care. They could care less if you get your mail. So sick and tired of the USPS.

Moving is a pain, especially when I have never moved across the country before. One of the questions I had was, how do I get mail now? I won't have a house for at least a month, I don't want it sent to the hotel I am staying at. Because of that, I decided to rent a P.O. Box from the Van Wert Post Office. Upon arriving to Van Wert, I went to the post office to finalize the rental. I started it online but I in order to finalize it I had to sign some paperwork at the local post office. Unfortunately when I got to the post office, I realized I completely forgot my paperwork back at the hotel. I didn't want to have to drive back there, so I talked to the postal employee. She was super friendly. She listened to me as I described my problem, and she asked me why I needed the P.O. Box? She asked me questions on how much mail I normally get and what type and she said, I would just be spending my money needlessly that I can just have my mail be sent to the general mailbox for the post office and all I have to do is come regularly and give my name and they would give it to me. I was floored. That saved me $88. It may not be a lot but I always look to save money and when your moving across the country every bit helps. My family had a bad experience with the mail service back in Homestead, Florida... and even some negative experiences back in Hialeah, Florida. Goes to show you that even government services are different when your dealing with genuinely good people from this wonderful small town than Miami. I have since come a few times to pick up my mail. I wait at most 10 minutes in line, that's not bad. One thing I noticed that I never realized is that the post office has boxes to ship gifts that are holiday themed, this time it was themed for Valentine's Day. I thought... wow cool... I didn't know that. I have sent gifts to friends before and I have always used either UPS or Fed Ex. If I had known USPS did that, I would have shipped with them. In gift giving, every detail counts and I like to spoil the people I care about or love. I will use this local post office in the future.
