Pioneer sent out blood for testing to an outside lab that was not in our insurance network and incorrectly coded it, which caused our insurance to reject it. Even after being told by our insurance how to properly resubmit it, Pioneer failed to do so, which ultimately required us to pay the entire lab bill. Pioneer admitted their error several times, but failed to even to attempt to correct the problem despite saying they would. Pioneer either would not communicate with us or it would take them several days to return a phone call, then leave a vague and irrelevant voice mail, which failed to address the issue. Their practice administrator, Kathleen Kostelnick, failed to respond to voice mail or email, which is baffling. When you call, you cannot reach a live person who can actually provide assistance and they are terrible about returning phone calls. This is the problem with an independent practice. They lack the experience to properly handle a problem, are not accountable to anyone, and can basically ignore a client without recourse. It's better to stay with a medical provider like the Cleveland Clinic or University Hospitals, who has the knowledge and values to offer quality healthcare and the infrastructure to conduct tests without having to outsource to another entity.

20 years with my doctor. He's been the best. The problem is their referral department. Laying here in pain waiting 2 weeks for a referral is unacceptable. I've missed 3 days of work and can't sleep at nights. It used to only take 2 or 3 days for a referral. Thanks for the suffering you heartless SOBs. ?

I have tried to follow my doctor who came to this network. I have placed calls and only left one message as they rudely say, and no one has ever returned a call. Whenever you call them. There is NEVER a live person to speak with.Hopeless issue, trying to get another doctor before my prescription runs out.

Pioneer Physicians has put my family through absolute hell over the past couple of months. They used to be a wonderful organization that was Godly and did right by their patients. They used to treat everyone like family. (Man, do I miss Dr. Wages.) I have had some physical health issues for over a year that we have been navigating. I’ve been on a seemingly endless quest for a diagnosis. Their new office manager is the downfall of the organization. Carey (I don’t know the spelling), literally refused me access to my own medical records yesterday. A wonderful physician from Hearthstone placed an order for an MRI. (This would have been my 7th imaging done in 11 months). I fasted for hours and drove over 40 minutes, in the rain, to a separate entity to have it completed. The Cleveland Clinic tried for over a week to get the order for this MRI from Pioneer Physicians. They didn’t even return their call. They don’t return phone calls from my husband or myself either. I arrived for my MRI, two different departments called and spoke with Pioneer and they REFUSED to fax the order or send it to myself so that I could have the procedure completed. I left without having the MRI completed. I have had that order for months. I had to navigate insurance and multiple healthcare entities in the world of Covid and it just didn’t happen, to no fault of my own. The officer manager simply had a vendetta against me personally and intended to see that it didn’t happen. She was successful. But that is criminal. Criminal actions result in consequences. I will see to it that they cannot prohibit another patient from seeking the medical care they so desperately need. It’s absolutely shameful. I pray they don’t do this to you. Sobbing in the registration area of a new hospital, alone, is not something I would ever endorse.

I took my sister to see Dr. Phillips at the N.Canton office. Staff was very nice and Dr. Phillips took his time with us, went over all of her current health issues and all our concerns. We left very pleased and continue to be very happy with her care there.

First they made me wait 3 months to get a new patient appointment. Then they refused to see me because I had a cold. A COLD. They even lied and said they aren't seeing sick patients even though they saw my mother days before because she also had a cold. They diagnosed her with bronchitis. And what kind of doctor doesn't see sick patients? Being sick is the only reason to see a doctor! Their policies are ridiculous and clearly some patients get better treatment than others.

Received a letter saying dr Simon is dismissing me for not paying 64 dollars. I’ve been going to this doctor my whole entire life and have never missed a payment, the one time I do, they drop me. They never let me know if I don’t pay, I will get kicked off. When I called, all of the receptionists were unbelievably rude and unhelpful, sounded like they didn’t care enough to help. Dr Simon also was not a good doctor. Went to him for the same thing 3 or 4 times and nothing was done to help except “try this medicine” which didn’t work. The bill in question that I’m being kicked off for was for lab work that I NEVER got the results for. All the doctors I’ve dealt with here are cold and rude. The only good one was Dr. Lutzky but he’s gone now. I do NOT recommend this place. How do you kick someone off of going to their primary care doctor during a pandemic?
