Giant Eagle Market District offers a great selection of products, with some noting it has more than a competitor across the street. The pharmacy staff receive praise for being extremely helpful, friendly, and pleasant. Customer service experiences vary; one cashier provided exceptional service by informing a customer about unadvertised sales, dramatically lowering a bill. However, other employees have been noted chatting instead of assisting customers. The store's curbside pickup service is described as spotty, with problems including shoppers not properly identifying themselves and making unapproved substitutions, such as more expensive eggs. Some specific products, like prepackaged hot banana peppers, are criticized for having no taste or heat and are considered poor quality. Pricing is a frequent concern, with many customers finding the prices absolutely ridiculous and less affordable than other stores, citing expensive unsliced bread and bagels. Feedback also includes that cashiers need training on bagging delicate items. While the store usually has everything needed, some find it unusual that specific items, like marinades, can be out of stock or misplaced.
This GE has more then acme across the street. Usually has everything i need but its unusual they dont stock any marinades or its not in the right place. The other night i wanted to get a lottery ticket but the employees were just chatting and would not help, so i left.

Well, the bakery lady doesn't know the difference between a cream puff and a custard filled doughnut!

Visiting from Philly and spoke to the pharmacist concerning some bumps on my hands. Turns out it was poison ivy. She was extremely helpful and the staff were very friendly and pleasant.
