We went in 2014 when our boys were a year and half, and then again in 2022 when they are 9, hoping that the festival might have gotten better since 2014. Our impression of the festival was that it was not well-run, the actual committee that runs the festival (not the ground volunteers) are stuck in their ways and not receptive to change or feedback, overcharging on the admissions fee and pressuring twins to register (so they can collect the registration fee) in order to make up their data in the system, poor and disorganized distribution of group photos that attendees must pay on top of the registration fees as well as the lack of follow-up later about the photos, etc. Frankly, the festival makes us feel excluded and not all that celebrated. Not great.

I LOVED this place as a kid. Came back 20 years later and I've never had a worse experience. The kids area was cancelled 2 weeks prior, and there was no notice upon paying to enter. I then spent $20 on a ride wrist band so that my 4 year old could ride anything she wanted. Nope. Not an option. She's very tall for her age and could only go on two rides. It would have been nice to know this before I bought her an all day pass. I then had to turn around and buy $20 worth of tickets for us to be able to go into/onto certain attractions and for me to be with her so she could ride more than the cars. I spent $47 for my kid to ride two rides essentially. I RARELY complain to employees/management/vendors etc. bc I'm a firm believer that they don't get paid enough for that. I complained that day. And the lady deflected every single concern and complaint I had to their vendors. She then told me that I was the only one to complain all day, so it must just be me, and she wasn't worried. Upon THEN telling me that as a SINGLETON, and not a twin, that I shouldn't come because it was for twins, and other people wouldn't enjoy it as much. She was on the board. I am disgusted at how this was ran this year. I'm also really happy I paid with a credit card so I can get some of my money back. Never again.
