The online chat led me to believe late fees would not be applied until after the 7th day. (I asked prior to getting a unit) Then I Get charged a late fee of $20 on the 6th day, the day I was going to pay it.
I contacted the online chat as before to voice my concerns about being given incorrect information. The person I spoke with was extremely rude and was basically a condescending jerk towards me. Just by how they responded to me it is VERY clear that they do not value customers and are basically a "come..or don't .... Stay ..or .. go... We don't care..." Type of business. I highly recommend you do NOT do business with CubeSmart (and any affiliated businesses, which I will post the names of soon if they in fact are tied to any other businesses).
Very disappointed. I just hope the online chat is not a representation of Cube Smart as a whole and that of the local management. That I cannot say either way at this point but will update the review soon.

I was an emergency situation I need a storage unit so I purchase one online in the evening 18 minutes before midnight. A few hours have passed and I didn’t actually need the storage unit a friend had offered to let me keep my stuff there. I contacted this company five minutes after they open in the morning and they told me because it was before midnight And even if they did refunds I wouldn’t be able to get one. Didn’t really sound right so I called another facility for the same company and that manager there told me they did two refunds and if the area coach had to approve it. So I asked him to have the area coach call me or contact me in someway so I can ask him more questions. Never heard anything back contacted customer service through the corporate website and did hear back and that customer service Representative told me they did do refunds the area coach just had to approve it. He also mentioned that he would call the area coach and make sure he contacted me as to why their employees told me two different things. That was almost a week ago still haven’t heard anything still haven’t got my $40 back. So I’m assuming the AC for this company just doesn’t care.

Moved in, month later was broken into, staff says no camera on my row, I mentioned the robbers must have known that! He said didn't matter camera only holds 7 days info anyway. I would need to call cops, cause it's my property broken into. He offered me a free lock,(oviously locks do not matter), I declined his free lock after I made my 240 rent payment. I filed police report, oh found my cut lock inside my unit, with glove and McDonald's cup. There is a coded entry gate, that doesn't shut completely and anyone on foot or smaller vehicle can easily get to "secure" area. Advertises to have camera security, fails to mention it's 7 day memory, nor that some areas are not surveiled. This was not just random act, someone knew we moved into huge unit, and only broke into our unit. Why would you video cheap units, and not the huge 240 a month?! Inside job, no way by chance, they chose our door out of the 1000 there. With no camera. Jokes on them now. I set up battery powered motion camera inside my unit, linked to my cell phone and laptop. I also made the door impossible, impossible to open from the outside. Ugg so upset I chose this sketchy place. I'll be moving out, as soon as I can afford another grand to get truck, new location, off work, physically able. Unbelievable. Do not use this place.
