“Went here to get a second opinion on my dogs cancer diagnosis. The staff was very kind, fast and efficient. They confirmed the finding but didn't say to immediately put him down like the ER vet in ann arbor did. Instead, they offered steroids to help make him comfortable. And they didn't charge me as much as originally quoted due to only doing a recheck. They showed us kindness and said our sweet Tom was a handsome boy ?”

Ariel actually stepped up from my hand, to the young lady's hand. That only verify's to me how much experience the staff has with parrots and how comfortable they are with them. I feel privileged that Dr. Orosz took her time with us and decided to take Ariel under her wing. Ariel was diagnosed with Avian Ganglioneuritis. This is an update on 9/10/24. Shoreland Animal Hospital is, still and always will be the best animal hospital in Toledo ❤️. I can't say enough about their care❤️❤️❤️. I had a situation where my 10 month old Irish Wolfhound ended up needing emergency surgery after hours and Dr Brown and the staff went over and beyond to save him. He had to recover at Med Vet over the weekend and Dr Brown kept me updated over the weekend better than Med Vet. They have always been so caring when I have had to send one of my babies to the Bridge. I can't thank them enough for caring for my children ❤️”
“I had my first visit to the clinic today. I made the appointment a week ago and I thought that was pretty quick as my cat was not an emergency and was a new "patient ". Everything about the visit was great! The staff and the vet very nice and professional. We were in and out in a timely manner without feeling rushed. The charges were extremely reasonable, especially when compared to my old vet. I plan on bringing all 4 of my cats here in the future!! Even though I live 45 minutes away...well worth the drive!”

They even went as far as following up after the passing with a card ? I wish I found them earlier so they could’ve been my Harold’s primary care givers. I can’t thank VCA enough for what they did for me and my family.
We took our cat to another vet, far from home, initially, because they accepted our godawful pet insurance.
The news was bad. Very bad. We took him home for one last day of all the love and scritches, and all the treats he wanted. We cried a lot.
We called VCA the next day, and told them our situation. They managed to get us in same day.
We had to pay for another exam (good, I don’t want to be able to pay money to kill a healthy cat), and they confirmed our initial vet’s findings. It was time to let our precious boy go.
The grace and kindness they showed us…incredible. I’m not exaggerating when I say the entire care team here treated me and my cat better than I could have imagined. I had been through my mother’s loss already at OSU’s teaching hospital, and I can’t stress enough: VCA treated me better about my cat’s passing than OSU treated me about my mother’s.
They let us stay with him. They let us sing little songs and read poems to him as he left us. When we weren’t ready to go right away, they let us have another few minutes with his body.
And, as we waited outside on the curb for our Uber home, we saw them carry him over to wherever his body would be kept until being transferred to the crematory. And here’s the thing: they carried him with such love. He was gone. And they had no reason to believe we’d still be watching. And [idk the vet or vet techs name] still carried him with such love and care, close to their chest.
My memories here are terrible and painful, and I’ll still recommend VCA on Bancroft until I’m blue in the face. They were even understanding and kind when we struggled to get a ride to pick up his ashes.

“Such a great place, everybody is nice, its just very small and outdated. And they're just so pricey $120 for bloodwork just to take an antiflammatory pain med for my dog?
*2021 still a client here. Everyone is still very sweet and they do care, have gotten better with price communication.. but still not feeling it. *2024 switched main vets”

“We had a bit of an emergency in the middle of the night with my lab. He ripped a noe nail all the way off. Our vet was closed this Saturday, so we went to med vet. I have to say we had a wonderful experience. They as in everyone who we came across that worked there,was kind ,caring ,and treated our dog and us with respect. I was scared to find out what the bill was. Which was very affordable.”
