Ots a great zoo with lots of animals that are easy to see. The entire zoo is easily traversed and the kids section is adorable. We also went to the lights at the zoo for Christmas and they went above and beyond. My only complaint is that some exhibits are rather small and some of the park isn't very scenic.

Had an absolute blast at the Toledo Zoo/Aquarium. We had three families in town for a reunion and kids varying from 10 to 16 years old and they all had a great time. The poison dart frog area was a huge hit for kids and adults. Everyone had fun in the aquarium, seeing the new baby elephant, checking out the aviary and the rhino! We stopped for lunch at the BBQ place and it was good - corn bread was cold LOL but it was sweet & good.

I have been a lifelong enjoyer and member of the Toledo Zoo. However, their new “security measures” are strictly un-American.
During my last visit, I was able to skate by security without being noticed. All this “security measure” does is leave rule-abiding citizens defenseless.
The security staff themselves are a joke. They are unarmed and unequipped to stop any real threats. All Toledo Zoo-goers are at risk and unable to defend themselves.
My family & I will never return to the Toledo Zoo, nor renew our memberships.

Despite being incredibly hot the animals were very active and all the exhibits were very accessible and kid-friendly. Food was good and reasonably priced compared to other tourist destinations.

I just love this zoo! The beauty within and the ability to interact in the aquarium, reptiles, giraffe areas, and more.
We are looking forward to going back’

Beautiful zoo!
Went on Wed. I can't imagine how busy this place would be on a weekend. The lower attendance made the exhibits and activities worthwhile. Feeding the girraffes was our favorite part. Spent the entire day (1030 - 5) getting through everything. Don't think this would be possible if it was busier. Place was clean and got a viewing of nearly all the exhibits, minus the few that were closed or when the animal was in hiding.
One gripe I have was that they don't allow outside food or beverages, yet most if their concessions were closed. Probably due to limited staffing, but it was inconvenient. There also seemed to be a private event being held near the reptile exhibit which made it inaccessible, that was a bummer.
Overall the family had a great experience and we felt like the zoo was well maintained and that the animals were cared for.

Not horrible...BE AWARE ENTIRE ZOO IS CASHLESS, which we saw nowhere prior to driving 3 hours to get there (good thing we had a card)...they do offer cash to card kiosks inside but then why not just accept cash (or do you not trust employees)...they also do not supply maps of zoo, you have to use QR code and "maybe" find where you are going. More than half of the eateries were closed and many many animals unavailable.

Love Toledo Zoo. We always make sure to save time to go to the aquarium and spend some time in the poison dart frog tropical conservatory. It's fun to grab the chart and look for all of the different colors of frogs. There's so much to do it's a perfect annual membership for anyone especially families. Thank you so much for always having lots of interactive displays and staff.

I'm almost reluctant to even fill out this survey because, it's The Toledo Zoo!
T T Z speaks for itself and there's not much I could ever add to its continuous improvements and additions.
T T Z is a strong example of how we all have a responsibility, beginning with our simplest of friends... our pets, and the beautiful world creatures abroad!

Probably the greatest zoo in Midwest. Right when you walk in there are animals to see with minimal walking. We were greeted by a sea lion show. The kid absolutely loved it. The people are friendly. You can feed giraffes. You can ride the train. You can see exotic snakes. Bears and inches away from your face, through the glass. The train is like an African Safari. They did a good job with this zoo. Only down side was we didn't plan enough time to explore the whole zoo.

I visited this zoo with my family this past weekend, and we had an all around great experience. It was very crowded as it was Saturday, and there was an art fair at the zoo, but it was still enjoyable despite the crowds. My kids loved that they had animals that they don’t get to see at our home zoo, and they especially loved the aquarium. It was very accessible and had good spacing between the exhibits. The only cons were that you can’t bring any snacks or drinks, which we are allowed to do at our home zoo, and we spent quite a lot on food. It wasn’t the worst though as I feel that is the case at most attractions. I also found the train to be quite a long wait, and could probably use an update to the seat design. There was minimal legroom in the cars, and you can only sit in pairs. The fact that the carousel and train had one line seemed to increase the wait time as well. However, my family loved how the ride allowed you to get up closer to the animals, and I appreciated the facts shared by the guide. All around it was a nice day out, and my family and I would love to visit again.

This place was amazing! It was a small zoo but packed with lots to see. Better than the Detroit zoo by far! You can feed the Giraffes, take the train ride, the aquarium was amazing... they had a friggen cassowary?! What? The largest alligator I think ive ever seen in a zoo, that thing was a beast and at the bottom of his blackwater pool, you couldn't even tell he was there. scared the bejeezus out of us. Worth the trip and the money.

The zoo is well kept and constanly growing. Different animals are more active during certain times of year so keep in mind what you want to see. Most animals have easy viewing and very little waits if they do. The only expections being the reptile house which tends to be a bit squished but as long as you pay attention you can see everything you want without being crowded. The unique paths that devide types of animals is easy to follow and its easy to keep your bearings. Staff is almost always kind and willing to answer your questions if you have any
