Self bathing is awful. You need to bend over to far to bath your dog. And dryers are on timers never enough time to dry. I now go to pups paradie, tubs are higher & No timer on drying

Took over 4 hrs (never took more than 2 hrs before) Never called . Said they called, but it was the wrong number (they have our current number which has been used for over 3 years or more) MY dog's ears were not cropped the way we requested. Was told by management that they would groom my dog, but if they had a "walk in" for nail trim, they would stop my dogs grooming and do the trim for walk in. That's ridiculous...what's the point of having an appt. NEVER GOING TO USE YOUR SERVICES AGAIN. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Received a Petco grooming gift card for Christmas. Scheduled a groom online for two days ahead. You are given the option to complete a “pre check-in” online ahead of time which I did. One of the questions is whether the dog has any health issues. Since my dog does have seizures, I did check this box. I then completed the pre check-in with no issues. The confirmation page then stated “Based on your responses, we may be contacting you for more information to give your pet the best experience for their whole health.”So the next day I receive a phone call from Petco grooming telling me that because I reported that my dog has seizures, my dog cannot be groomed per their policy and they were canceling the appointment. It should be noted that in the pre check-in, it also asked questions about whether your dog is up to date on vaccinations, has received an injectable vaccine within the past 24 hours, or is on sedatives—and that your dog cannot be groomed if they are not up to date or if you answer “yes” to either of the two subsequent questions.NOWHERE in the “known health issues” question does it indicate any health issues that would not allow them to groom your dog. Neither did anything pop up after I checked the box indicating my dog has seizures. No questions were asked regarding the nature of the seizures or any further details, medications my dog is on, etc.Upon searching Petco’s website, I am unable to find their grooming “policies” anywhere. Why is this information not readily apparent and available, and communicated prior to scheduling a grooming appointment? The only reason I was even going to come here was because of the gift certificate. Now I have to try and schedule with my regular independent groomer who is usually booked out months in advance. If your dog has any health issues or is on any type of medications, please be aware of these “policies” before you schedule. You are much better off going to an independently-owned groomer who is usually happy to work with special-needs dogs or those with health conditions. I do understand that Petco may have this “policy” and the reasoning behind it to protect themselves, but this needs to be communicated to potential customers.

I have taken my dog to Petco grooming on Monroe since we got him as a pup. That's been over a year. I was always reasonably pleased. I broke my leg in December and couldn't get him to the groomer for an additional month. When my dog was groomed they cut his leg with a 4 inch wound. He had to go to a vet hospital and received stitches. We then had to go to our own vet to have them removed. He is half shaved because the grooming couldn't be completed. Today I brought him in to finally get him groomed. They refused to take him because he has many knots in his hair. It's a catch 22 for me. I know they are punchy at taking him since they severely wounded him last time. But now three weeks later, the knots are no better. What am I supposed to do? They are worthless at Petco. No wonder it's the only one with openings.

The process overall was easy, helpful, and hopefully will be more comfortable the next time. The only concern and reason why I didn't give 5 stars is that my dog was very sad, traumatized, and didn't act right for the next 3 days. She wouldn't let us touch her, had multiple potty accidents, shook, and wouldn't eat. This is unusual behavior after all the grooming appointments she's had elsewhere. I hope that nothing happened to her. My dog is such a sweetheart and isn't aggressive at all. She is normally a love bug.

The staff was friendly and was ready for my dog, no waiting. The young gentleman who was taking care of her was very friendly and great with her. He did a wonderful job with her hair cut and cleaning. Thank you for hiring and training a knowledgeable staff that does a great job!

Everyone is always so pleasant and welcoming. Just a nail cutting (pawdicure), but nice job and done quickly.
